Mixed-Metal Palladium(II) Complexes: a Way from Heterometallic Carboxylates to Bimetallic Nanoparticles
The paper describes some chemical transformations of the mixed-metal palladium (II) complexes, including
interactions of binuclear complexes with pyridine, 1,10-phenanthroline and bipyridine; also described
thermal and reductive transformations of some binuclear and pentanuclear nitrogen-containing
complexes, in particular red-ox transformations in reductive media to yield mixed-metal nanomaterials.
For this nanomaterials and nanoalloys also provided HREM and TEM investigations.

Effectiveness of Prompts in Developing the Skill of Answering Questions in Children with Autism Spectrum Disorder
Intraverbal operant (i.e. intraverbal behavior) in B.F. Skinner’s concept is a class of verbal reactions that includes understanding what is read, holding conversations and answering questions, and also thoughts and memories. Intraverbals are the foundation for learning simple communications, developing academic skills and acquiring professional ones. Many persons with autism spectrum disorder experience considerable difficulties with intraverbal behavior, and there still is no technique that could teach them how to use it fully and functionally. This research on the effectiveness of various types of prompts in educational trainings was aimed at optimizing teaching intraverbal behavior to children with ASD. The study analyzed how children develop the skill of answering questions in the context of textual and echoic prompts. The experiment with two subjects, children of different sexes aged 8 and 17 years diagnosed with ASD, revealed that textual prompts were more effective. The difference in the effectiveness between textual and echoic prompts proved to be more significant for questions with several or many correct answers than in the case with simple questions having only one correct answer
Transverse momentum spectra of charged particles in proton-proton collisions at 1as=900 GeV with ALICE at the LHC
The inclusive charged particle transverse momentum distribution is measured in proton-proton collisions at s=900 GeV at the LHC using the ALICE detector. The measurement is performed in the central pseudorapidity region (|\u3b7|<0.8) over the transverse momentum range 0.15<10 GeV/c. The correlation between transverse momentum and particle multiplicity is also studied. Results are presented for inelastic (INEL) and non-single-diffractive (NSD) events. The average transverse momentum for |\u3b7|<0.8 is \u3008pT\u3009INEL=0.483\ub10.001 (stat.)\ub10.007 (syst.) GeV/c and \u3008pT\u3009NSD=0.489\ub10.001 (stat.)\ub10.007 (syst.) GeV/c, respectively. The data exhibit a slightly larger \u3008pT\u3009 than measurements in wider pseudorapidity intervals. The results are compared to simulations with the Monte Carlo event generators PYTHIA and PHOJET. \ua9 2010
