Utilization of plastic waste in reinforcing sandy soil for sustainable engineering applications

Large quantities of polyethylene terephthalate (PET) plastic are discarded into the environment during production, application, and disposal. Although current clean-up strategies aim to mitigate the adverse impacts of PET pollution, efforts struggle to keep up with the escalating amount of PET waste. This accumulation of PET waste poses significant threats to ecosystems worldwide. One recycling method for PET plastic waste involves its utilization in soil reinforcement applications within civil engineering. By incorporating PET plastic waste to reinforce poor-quality sands, sustainable construction practices can be promoted in civil engineering infrastructures, addressing multiple aspects of sustainability, including engineering, economic, social, and environmental considerations. The experimental work conducted in this research involved sieve analysis, proctor compaction test, California Bearing Ratio (CBR) test, and direct shear box test. The sand was reinforced with varying percentages of PET plastic waste flakes, namely 5, 10, and 15 %, with respect to the weight of the soil sample taken for the test, and laboratory tests were performed on the samples. Including PET plastic flakes enhanced various soil properties, such as shear strength and friction angle. It also improved the CBR value of the composite, making it suitable for pavement construction. The reduction in dry density further supports the application of the composite in lightweight structures. In conclusion, the geotechnical material obtained from the soil-PET plastic waste composite can be utilized in various geotechnical projects, including landfills and slope stabilization

Магістерська дисертація присвячена інтенсивному дослідженню, аналізута подальшому удосконаленню системи роботи з клієнтами, орієнтованою на впровадження проекту CRM-системи. У рамках даного дослідження було вирішено ряд значущих завдань: - детально розглянуто сутність та визначено ключові аспекти поняття «клієнт», включаючи його характеристики та класифікацію; - деталізовано методи взаємодії з клієнтами в контексті системи менеджменту; - здійснено аналіз особливостей діяльності компанії, включаючи внутрішній механізм взаємодії з клієнтами. Проведено глибоке дослідження існуючої системи роботи з клієнтами, визначено та проаналізовано її сильні та слабкі сторони. На основі отриманих результатів розроблено конкретні та обґрунтовані рекомендації стосовно впровадження проекту CRM-системи, а також проведено систематичну оцінку його ефективності. Об'єктом аналізу стали системи роботи з клієнтами, в той час як предметом розгляду стали науково-методичні аспекти процесу взаємодії з клієнтами в контексті конкретної компанії. Отримані результати та розроблені рекомендації мають сутеве значення для практики управління клієнтськими взаєминами, а також можуть служити основою для розвитку більш ефективних стратегій взаємодії з клієнтами та впровадження сучасних технологій у сферу CRM. Кінцеву ефективність впровадження CRM-системи можна буде підрахувати лише після практичної роботи з нею.The master's thesis is devoted to intensive research, analysis and further improvement of the system of working with clients, focused on the implementation of the CRM system project. Within the framework of this study, a number of significant tasks were solved: - the essence and key aspects of the concept of "client", including its characteristics and classification, are examined in detail; - detailed methods of interaction with clients in the context of the management system; - an analysis of the specifics of the company's activities, including the internal mechanism of interaction with clients, was carried out. An in-depth study of the existing customer service system was conducted, its strengths and weaknesses were identified and analyzed. On the basis of the obtained results, specific and substantiated recommendations regarding the implementation of the CRM system project were developed, and a systematic assessment of its effectiveness was also carried out. The object of analysis was customer service systems, while the scientific and methodological aspects of the process of interaction with customers in the context of a specific company were the subject of consideration. The obtained results and developed recommendations are of fundamental importance for the practice of customer relationship management, and can also serve as a basis for the development of more effective strategies for interaction with customers and the introduction of modern technologies in the field of CRM. The final effectiveness of the implementation of the CRM system can be calculated only after practical work with it.

Exploring the advances of single-cell RNA sequencing in thyroid cancer: a narrative review

Thyroid cancer, a prevalent form of endocrine malignancy, has witnessed a substantial increase in occurrence in recent decades. To gain a comprehensive understanding of thyroid cancer at the single-cell level, this narrative review evaluates the applications of single-cell RNA sequencing (scRNA-seq) in thyroid cancer research. ScRNA-seq has revolutionised the identifcation and characterisation of distinct cell subpopulations, cell-to-cell communications, and receptor interactions, revealing unprecedented heterogeneity and shedding light on novel biomarkers for therapeutic discovery. These fndings aid in the construction of predictive models on disease prognosis and therapeutic efcacy. Altogether, scRNA-seq has deepened our understanding of the tumour microenvironment immunologic insights, informing future studies in the development of efective personalised treatment for patients. Challenges and limitations of scRNA-seq, such as technical biases, fnancial barriers, and ethical concerns, are discussed. Advancements in computational methods, the advent of artifcial intelligence (AI), machine learning (ML), and deep learning (DL), and the importance of single-cell data sharing and collaborative eforts are highlighted. Future directions of scRNA-seq in thyroid cancer research include investigating intra-tumoral heterogeneity, integrating with other omics technologies, exploring the non-coding RNA landscape, and studying rare subtypes. Overall, scRNA-seq has transformed thyroid cancer research and holds immense potential for advancing personalised therapies and improving patient outcomes. Methodology for service life evaluation of screens welded structures

The methodology of research on welded assemblies for fastening vibrators is based on modern software products, in particular SolidWorks Simulation in combination with SolidWorks Motion and hot spot stress (HSS) technology. It has been determined that the research on welded assemblies using the SolidWorks Education Edition software package is expedient, considering the most unfavorable situation, when there is a lack of fusion of edges. The solid-state model displays a lack of fusion as a gap between the welded parts. The research on the stress-strain state of welded structures using the finite element method shows that when the computational mesh cell size is reduced, the stress increases significantly, indicating the model singularity and the need for further application of the HSS technology. Research has revealed that the maximum stresses occur in those points of the welds where the longitudinal middle rib is connected to the plate and pipe. It has been determined that the service life of welded joints will exceed 2·106 cycles. To assess the accuracy of calculating the dynamic forces arising during the screen operation, the modeling results using the SolidWorks Motion program are compared with those classical methods that use the Lagrange equation of the second kind. It turned out that the calculation error does not exceed 30 %

Формування та реалізація кадрової політики в органах публічної влади: вітчизняний та зарубіжний досвід (на прикладі УДМС у Сумській області)

Метою кваліфікаційної роботи магістра є дослідження особливостей формування та реалізації кадрової політика в органах публічної влади та управління (на прикладі Управління державної міграційної служби в Сумській області), на підставі комплексного аналізу вітчизняної та зарубіжної наукової літератури, обробки чинного національного законодавства, вітчизняної практики, аналізування статистичних даних та показників, за для формування відповідних висновків та розроблення рекомендацій вирішення досліджуваних проблем. Практичне значення кваліфікаційної роботи магістра полягає в тому, що окремі положення висвітлені в роботі, надані рекомендації можуть бути використані у подальшому у законотворчій діяльності (при підготовці нормативно-правових актів), у навчальному процесі (під час викладання дисциплін циклу державного управління, публічного адміністрування), а також у практичній діяльності органів ДМС України, про що свідчить акт про впровадження у практичну діяльність УДМС в Сумській області.The purpose of the master's qualification work is to study the peculiarities of the formation and implementation of personnel policy in public authorities and management bodies (on the example of the State Migration Service Office in the Sumy region), based on a comprehensive analysis of domestic and foreign scientific literature, processing of current national legislation, domestic practice, analysis of statistical data and indicators, for the formation of relevant conclusions and development of recommendations for solving the researched problems The practical significance of the master's qualification work is that certain provisions are highlighted in the work, the provided recommendations can be used in the future in law-making activities (during the preparation of normative legal acts), in the educational process (during the teaching of the disciplines of the cycle of public administration, public administration) , as well as in the practical activity of the bodies of the Ukrainian State Security Service, as evidenced by the act of implementation of the State Security Service of Ukraine in the Sumy region
