    Development and Validation of RP-HPLC Method for Quantitative Analysis of Naratriptan Hydrochloride Tablet.

    The present studies is to develop simple and validated RP-HPLC method by isocratic mode for the quantification of naratriptan Hcl in tablet formulation. The plan of present work is as follows: Method Development, Selection of wavelength, Selection of initial separation conditions, Selection of mobile phase (pH, peak modifier, solvent strength and flow rate), Nature of the stationary phase, Selection of separation method, Validation of the developed method, The developed method was validated by using the various validation parameters such as, Accuracy, Precision, Linearity, limit of detection (LOD) and limit of quantitation (LOQ), Selectivity / Specificity, Robustness / ruggedness. As the literature survey reveals that there are very few method have been reported for the determination of the naratriptan Hcl and so a modified RP-HPLC method was developed for the estimation of drug in tablet dosage form and validated. HPLC waters ALLIANCE 2695 with column spursil C18, 250 X 4.6 mm, 5 μ AGILENT was used. A volume of 10 μl of drug solution was injected and eluted with the mobile phase of potassium di hydrogen phosphate buffer pH 7.2: acetonitrile in the ratio of 7:3 v/v, which was pumped at the flow rate of 1.0 ml and detected by UV detector at 224 nm. The peak of naratriptan was found well separated at 3.285 min. The developed method is economical, easy and it gives sharp peak with high resolution. The developed method is applied for the determination of naratriptan Hcl. The assay results comply to the label claim of the formulation. The developed method was validated as per ICH guidelines using parameters like Accuracy, Precision Linearity and Range, Specificity, Ruggedness, LOD, LOQ and Robustness. Hence the developed method is found to be satisfactory and it complies with all validation parameters. So this developed method can be used for the routine analysis of naratriptan Hcl in tablet dosage form

The data synchronization between source and destination is very important in real time parameter maintenance. The multidimensional parametric evaluation of the environment or the surrounding area is facing problems with data synchronization and congestion in the sensor network. This will lead arrival of fault data at the destination. The fault data also leads a misconception at user end. In the present work pipeline integration is proposed to overcome the misconception and synchronization failures. The pipeline and Arduino UNO processor are integrated on Proteus simulation tool.     Dimensionality reduction and hierarchical clustering in framework for hyperspectral image segmentation

    The hyperspectral data contains hundreds of narrows bands representing the same scene on earth, with each pixel has a continuous reflectance spectrum. The first attempts to analysehyperspectral images were based on techniques that were developed for multispectral images by randomly selecting few spectral channels, usually less than seven. This random selection of bands degrades the performance of segmentation algorithm on hyperspectraldatain terms of accuracies. In this paper, a new framework is designed for the analysis of hyperspectral image by taking the information from all the data channels with dimensionality reduction method using subset selection and hierarchical clustering. A methodology based on subset construction is used for selecting k informative bands from d bands dataset. In this selection, similarity metrics such as Average Pixel Intensity [API], Histogram Similarity [HS], Mutual Information [MI] and Correlation Similarity [CS] are used to create k distinct subsets and from each subset, a single band is selected. The informative bands which are selected are merged into a single image using hierarchical fusion technique. After getting fused image, Hierarchical clustering algorithm is used for segmentation of image. The qualitative and quantitative analysis shows that CS similarity metric in dimensionality reduction algorithm gets high quality segmented image

    At the time we set our mobile phones in silent mode, we may misplace it somewhere nearby and cannot find the mobile phone by ringing to it. It has happened to all of us. To solve this real world problem, we develop an application called Remote Ringer. Remote Ringer helps us to change mobile phone mode from silent to ringing mode . Once your phone is in ringing mode, you can ring it from any other mobile phones. Remote Ringer needs to be configured before it can be used, The configuration allows maximum of five numbers that can be used to change the mode from silent to ring. Use one of the five phones to text the silent phone, the silent phone will be switched to a tone ring mode, then another call will enable user to locate the phone

    Traditional knowledge on zootherapeutic uses by the Saharia tribe of Rajasthan, India

    The present zootherapeutic study describes the traditional knowledge related to the use of different animals and animal-derived products as medicines by the Saharia tribe reside in the Shahabad and Kishanganj Panchayat Samiti's of Baran district of Rajasthan, India. A field survey was conducted from April to June 2006 by performing interview through structured questionnaire with 21 selected respondents, who provided information regarding use of animals and their products in folk medicine. A total of 15 animal species were recorded and they are used for different ethnomedical purposes, including cough, asthma, tuberculosis, paralysis, earache, herpes, weakness, muscular pain etc. The zootherapeutic knowledge was mostly based on domestic animals, but some protected species like the peacock (Pavo cristatus,), hard shelled turtle (Kachuga tentoria), sambhar (Cervus unicolor) were also mentioned as medicinal resources. We would suggest that this kind of neglected traditional knowledge should be included into the strategies of conservation and management of faunistic resources. Further studies are required for experimental validation to confirm the presence of bioactive compounds in these traditional remedies and also to emphasize more sustainable use of these resources

    Contributions of mean and shape of blood pressure distribution to worldwide trends and variations in raised blood pressure: A pooled analysis of 1018 population-based measurement studies with 88.6 million participants

Background: Change in the prevalence of raised blood pressure could be due to both shifts in the entire distribution of blood pressure (representing the combined effects of public health interventions and secular trends) and changes in its high-blood-pressure tail (representing successful clinical interventions to control blood pressure in the hypertensive population). Our aim was to quantify the contributions of these two phenomena to the worldwide trends in the prevalence of raised blood pressure. Methods: We pooled 1018 population-based studies with blood pressure measurements on 88.6 million participants from 1985 to 2016. We first calculated mean systolic blood pressure (SBP), mean diastolic blood pressure (DBP) and prevalence of raised blood pressure by sex and 10-year age group from 20-29 years to 70-79 years in each study, taking into account complex survey design and survey sample weights, where relevant. We used a linear mixed effect model to quantify the association between (probittransformed) prevalence of raised blood pressure and age-group- and sex-specific mean blood pressure. We calculated the contributions of change in mean SBP and DBP, and of change in the prevalence-mean association, to the change in prevalence of raised blood pressure. Results: In 2005-16, at the same level of population mean SBP and DBP, men and women in South Asia and in Central Asia, the Middle East and North Africa would have the highest prevalence of raised blood pressure, and men and women in the highincome Asia Pacific and high-income Western regions would have the lowest. In most region-sex-age groups where the prevalence of raised blood pressure declined, one half or more of the decline was due to the decline in mean blood pressure. Where prevalence of raised blood pressure has increased, the change was entirely driven by increasing mean blood pressure, offset partly by the change in the prevalence-mean association. Conclusions: Change in mean blood pressure is the main driver of the worldwide change in the prevalence of raised blood pressure, but change in the high-blood-pressure tail of the distribution has also contributed to the change in prevalence, especially in older age groups

    Repositioning of the global epicentre of non-optimal cholesterol

    High blood cholesterol is typically considered a feature of wealthy western countries(1,2). However, dietary and behavioural determinants of blood cholesterol are changing rapidly throughout the world(3) and countries are using lipid-lowering medications at varying rates. These changes can have distinct effects on the levels of high-density lipoprotein (HDL) cholesterol and non-HDL cholesterol, which have different effects on human health(4,5). However, the trends of HDL and non-HDL cholesterol levels over time have not been previously reported in a global analysis. Here we pooled 1,127 population-based studies that measured blood lipids in 102.6 million individuals aged 18 years and older to estimate trends from 1980 to 2018 in mean total, non-HDL and HDL cholesterol levels for 200 countries. Globally, there was little change in total or non-HDL cholesterol from 1980 to 2018. This was a net effect of increases in low- and middle-income countries, especially in east and southeast Asia, and decreases in high-income western countries, especially those in northwestern Europe, and in central and eastern Europe. As a result, countries with the highest level of non-HDL cholesterol-which is a marker of cardiovascular riskchanged from those in western Europe such as Belgium, Finland, Greenland, Iceland, Norway, Sweden, Switzerland and Malta in 1980 to those in Asia and the Pacific, such as Tokelau, Malaysia, The Philippines and Thailand. In 2017, high non-HDL cholesterol was responsible for an estimated 3.9 million (95% credible interval 3.7 million-4.2 million) worldwide deaths, half of which occurred in east, southeast and south Asia. The global repositioning of lipid-related risk, with non-optimal cholesterol shifting from a distinct feature of high-income countries in northwestern Europe, north America and Australasia to one that affects countries in east and southeast Asia and Oceania should motivate the use of population-based policies and personal interventions to improve nutrition and enhance access to treatment throughout the world.Peer reviewe
