Les effets du décrochement de Tizi-n-Test sur l'évolution du bassin d'Ijoukak (Haut Atlas, Maroc) Effects of the Tizi-n-Test strike-slip fault on the evolution of the Ijoukak basin (High Atlas, Morocco)
Sedimentological analysis of Triassic deposits of the Ijoukak basin (High valley of N'Fis) and their comparison with other series in the High Atlas, notably the Talaat-n-Yacoub series, the Ourika and the Aït Tamlil ones, allowed us a correlation of different formations by facies analogy. Structural study of this basin shows the role of the Tizi-n-Test strike-slip fault in the control of the triassic sedimenta-tion and in the atlasic structuring of the Ijoukak basin

In the Central High Atlas (Morocco), the PermoTrias comprises a redbed detrital sequence, which is subdivided into six formations. Formation F3 comprises extensive sandy conglomeratic alluvial deposits with several soil horizons affected by an important carbonate diagenesis. This carbonate epigenesis has strongly reduced the porosity. Facies morphology, geometry of sedimentary bodies and the analysis of the mineralogy of microfacies of formation F3 have revealed the presence of two types of carbonate cement : one is limestone or calcrete and the other is dolomitic or dolocrete. These calcrete and dolocrete cements have been attributed to a pedogenetic environment and/or to circulating of groundwater. This peneplanation system is evidence of a pediplanation period which is locally associated with a regional tectonic lull in the Central High Atlas
Mapping geosites as gateways to the geotourism management in Central High-Atlas (Morocco)
Demnate commune and High-Tessaout valley are located in the Moroccan central High-Atlas. They have a
great and much diversified geological and geomorphological heritage and exceptional landscapes of high mountains.
The data obtained from the current work indicate that the studied area present high tourist vocation, in the fact that
this territory preserves a large number of geosites linked to many witnesses fossils of extinct animals such dinosaurs
footprints, outcropping rock formations of the Precambrian and Mesozoic. Further, it has many remarkable landforms
and geosites such as canyons, natural bridge, spectacular waterfalls and scree slopes. The findings support that the
area attracts many tourists every year. However, this number remains restricted due to the lack of tools of promotion
and mediation of its geoheritage and also due to the low exploitation of the geodiversity. Regarding this situation, geotouristic
routes represented on touristic map appear as an essential tool for geotourism promotion and as an efficient
means of geosciences popularisation. This paper illustrates three geotouristic routes describing the main geosites in
rural areas of Demnate and High-Tessaout valley. These geotourism itineraries can help to explain the high potential
interest of the studied areas in geotourism terms
