    Modelo de convivencia escolar para mejorar el rendimiento académico de los estudiantes del VII ciclo de Educación Básica Regular Chiclayo

    El presente Trabajo de Investigación sistematiza en su contenido la propuesta del modelo de convivencia escolar para mejorar el rendimiento académico de los estudiantes del VII Ciclo de Educación Básica Regular Chiclayo. Del análisis de las teorías que sustentan el presente estudio se determinó que efectivamente existían diferencias y problemas en torno a la convivencia escolar, que limitaban el desarrollo de los aprendizajes en los estudiantes, lo que permitió el estudio y la aplicación del Modelo de convivencia escolar para fortalecer las relaciones interpersonales de manera que se logre un trabajo en armonía con participación activa y decidida. Se trata de una investigación de enfoque cuantitativo cuyo paradigma es positivista de diseño de estudio cuasi experimental con pre y post test. La muestra estuvo conformada por 64 estudiantes de un universo de 103, aplicando un cuestionario de 20 ítems sobre convivencia escolar a los estudiantes; el cual fue validado mediante la validez de contenido o de juicio de expertos y la confiabilidad se logró utilizando el estadístico T de student para determinar la consistencia interna de estudio y a partir de la contrastación de la hipótesis se espera lograr un aporte teórico que contribuya a la solución de la problemática existente, no sólo en la Institución Educativa “Ramón Espinoza Sierra”, sino también en las demás instituciones de la región y del país. Las conclusiones indicaron que existió diferencia significativa a favor de los estudiantes del grupo experimental quienes luego de aplicar estrategias participativas en los talleres de aprendizaje frente a los estudiantes del grupo control quienes no hicieron uso de la mencionada estrategia; permitiéndose afirmar que al aplicar estrategias participativas se ve el mejoramiento de la convivencia escolar por consiguientes se elevó el rendimiento escolar

    En el presente trabajo de investigación se pudo analizar la importancia del modelo BPO en un negocio enfocado al mercado español. Se tiene como objetivo precisar el grado de importancia que tiene el modelo BPO en un call center enfocado al mercado español, del distrito de San Juan de Lurigancho, Lima 2023. El tipo de investigación que se utilizó fue básico con un enfoque cualitativo con nivel descriptivo, con diseño fenomenológico. Asimismo, se recopiló información a través de entrevistas y en el instrumento utilizado es la guía de entrevistas semi estructurada constituida por 18 preguntas, las cuales fueron divididas en subcategorías de acuerdo a las diferentes categorías. Se obtuvo como resultado en base a lo mostrado en el instrumento de recolección de datos, la entrevista, se puede verificar que una buena aplicación del modelo BPO puede generar grandes beneficios como la simplificación de procesos y servicios, del mismo es de gran apoyo en cuanto al costeo interno de la empresa ya que al tercerizar los servicios, esos recursos pueden ser redirigidos para subsanar otras faltas internas. Del mismo modo, el modelo BPO ha brindado grandes avances en cuanto a la gestión de recursos humanos ya que una empresa al enfocarse de completo en un solo servicio se maneja de mejor manera el tema del personal y también se agilizan diversos procesos que en el pasado, generaban inconvenientes a la empresa propia como a la atención al cliente que brindaba. Finalmente, en base a la globalización de la actualidad, ha permitido que el intercambio de productos y servicios puedan alcanzar diferentes fronteras, contratar servicios desde el exterior es una acción utilizada cada vez con mayor frecuencia debido a que existen casos donde el costo de personal puede ser menor; pero brindan el mismo servicio de calidad, de acuerdo al rubro asignado

    The Fourteenth Data Release of the Sloan Digital Sky Survey: First Spectroscopic Data from the extended Baryon Oscillation Spectroscopic Survey and from the second phase of the Apache Point Observatory Galactic Evolution Experiment

    The fourth generation of the Sloan Digital Sky Survey (SDSS-IV) has been in operation since July 2014. This paper describes the second data release from this phase, and the fourteenth from SDSS overall (making this, Data Release Fourteen or DR14). This release makes public data taken by SDSS-IV in its first two years of operation (July 2014-2016). Like all previous SDSS releases, DR14 is cumulative, including the most recent reductions and calibrations of all data taken by SDSS since the first phase began operations in 2000. New in DR14 is the first public release of data from the extended Baryon Oscillation Spectroscopic Survey (eBOSS); the first data from the second phase of the Apache Point Observatory (APO) Galactic Evolution Experiment (APOGEE-2), including stellar parameter estimates from an innovative data driven machine learning algorithm known as "The Cannon"; and almost twice as many data cubes from the Mapping Nearby Galaxies at APO (MaNGA) survey as were in the previous release (N = 2812 in total). This paper describes the location and format of the publicly available data from SDSS-IV surveys. We provide references to the important technical papers describing how these data have been taken (both targeting and observation details) and processed for scientific use. The SDSS website (www.sdss.org) has been updated for this release, and provides links to data downloads, as well as tutorials and examples of data use.     Importance of the Support Properties for Immobilization or Purification of Enzymes

    Immobilization and purification of enzymes are usual requirements for their industrial use. Both purification and immobilization have a common factor: they use a solid activated support. Using a support for enzyme purification means having mild conditions for enzyme release and a selective enzyme–support interaction is interesting. When using a support for immobilization, however, enzyme desorption is a problem. The improvement of enzyme features through immobilization is a usual objective (e.g., stability, selectivity). Thus, a support designed for enzyme purification and a support designed for enzyme immobilization may differ significantly. In this review, we will focus our attention on the requirements of a support surface to produce the desired objectives. The ideal physical properties of the matrix, the properties of the introduced reactive groups, the best surface activation degree to reach the desired objective, and the properties of the reactive groups will be discussed.We gratefully recognize the support from the Spanish Government, CTQ2013-41507-R, Colciencia (Colombia) and CNPq (Brazil).     Medical school faculty discontent: prevalence and predictors of intent to leave academic careers

    <p>Abstract</p> <p>Background</p> <p>Medical school faculty are less enthusiastic about their academic careers than ever before. In this study, we measured the prevalence and determinants of intent to leave academic medicine.</p> <p>Methods</p> <p>A 75-question survey was administered to faculty at a School of Medicine. Questions addressed quality of life, faculty responsibilities, support for teaching, clinical work and scholarship, mentoring and participation in governance.</p> <p>Results</p> <p>Of 1,408 eligible faculty members, 532 (38%) participated. Among respondents, 224 (40%; CI95: 0.35, 0.44) reported that their careers were not progressing satisfactorily; 236 (42%; CI95: 0.38, 0.46) were "seriously considering leaving academic medicine in the next five years." Members of clinical departments (OR = 1.71; CI95: 1.01, 2.91) were more likely to consider leaving; members of inter-disciplinary centers were less likely (OR = 0.68; CI95: 0.47, 0.98). The predictors of "serious intent to leave" included: Difficulties balancing work and family (OR = 3.52; CI95: 2.34, 5.30); inability to comment on performance of institutional leaders (OR = 3.08; CI95: 2.07, 4.72); absence of faculty development programs (OR = 3.03; CI95: 2.00, 4.60); lack of recognition of clinical work (OR = 2.73; CI95: 1.60, 4.68) and teaching (OR = 2.47; CI95: 1.59, 3.83) in promotion evaluations; absence of "academic community" (OR = 2.67; CI95: 1.86, 3.83); and failure of chairs to evaluate academic progress regularly (OR = 2.60; CI95: 1.80, 3.74).</p> <p>Conclusion</p> <p>Faculty are a medical school's key resource, but 42 percent are seriously considering leaving. Medical schools should refocus faculty retention efforts on professional development programs, regular performance feedback, balancing career and family, tangible recognition of teaching and clinical service and meaningful faculty participation in institutional governance.</p

    The 13th Data Release of the Sloan Digital Sky Survey: First Spectroscopic Data from the SDSS-IV Survey Mapping Nearby Galaxies at Apache Point Observatory

    The fourth generation of the Sloan Digital Sky Survey (SDSS-IV) began observations in July 2014. It pursues three core programs: APOGEE-2,MaNGA, and eBOSS. In addition, eBOSS contains two major subprograms: TDSS and SPIDERS. This paper describes the first data release from SDSS-IV, Data Release 13 (DR13), which contains new data, reanalysis of existing data sets and, like all SDSS data releases, is inclusive of previously released data. DR13 makes publicly available 1390 spatially resolved integral field unit observations of nearby galaxies from MaNGA,the first data released from this survey. It includes new observations from eBOSS, completing SEQUELS. In addition to targeting galaxies and quasars, SEQUELS also targeted variability-selected objects from TDSS and X-ray selected objects from SPIDERS. DR13 includes new reductions ofthe SDSS-III BOSS data, improving the spectrophotometric calibration and redshift classification. DR13 releases new reductions of the APOGEE-1data from SDSS-III, with abundances of elements not previously included and improved stellar parameters for dwarf stars and cooler stars. For the SDSS imaging data, DR13 provides new, more robust and precise photometric calibrations. Several value-added catalogs are being released in tandem with DR13, in particular target catalogs relevant for eBOSS, TDSS, and SPIDERS, and an updated red-clump catalog for APOGEE.This paper describes the location and format of the data now publicly available, as well as providing references to the important technical papers that describe the targeting, observing, and data reduction. The SDSS website, http://www.sdss.org, provides links to the data, tutorials and examples of data access, and extensive documentation of the reduction and analysis procedures.     Sloan Digital Sky Survey IV: mapping the Milky Way, nearby galaxies, and the distant universe

    We describe the Sloan Digital Sky Survey IV (SDSS-IV), a project encompassing three major spectroscopic programs. The Apache Point Observatory Galactic Evolution Experiment 2 (APOGEE-2) is observing hundreds of thousands of Milky Way stars at high resolution and high signal-to-noise ratios in the near-infrared. The Mapping Nearby Galaxies at Apache Point Observatory (MaNGA) survey is obtaining spatially resolved spectroscopy for thousands of nearby galaxies (median ). The extended Baryon Oscillation Spectroscopic Survey (eBOSS) is mapping the galaxy, quasar, and neutral gas distributions between and 3.5 to constrain cosmology using baryon acoustic oscillations, redshift space distortions, and the shape of the power spectrum. Within eBOSS, we are conducting two major subprograms: the SPectroscopic IDentification of eROSITA Sources (SPIDERS), investigating X-ray AGNs and galaxies in X-ray clusters, and the Time Domain Spectroscopic Survey (TDSS), obtaining spectra of variable sources. All programs use the 2.5 m Sloan Foundation Telescope at the Apache Point Observatory; observations there began in Summer 2014. APOGEE-2 also operates a second near-infrared spectrograph at the 2.5 m du Pont Telescope at Las Campanas Observatory, with observations beginning in early 2017. Observations at both facilities are scheduled to continue through 2020. In keeping with previous SDSS policy, SDSS-IV provides regularly scheduled public data releases; the first one, Data Release 13, was made available in 2016 July

    The 16th Data Release of the Sloan Digital Sky Surveys : First Release from the APOGEE-2 Southern Survey and Full Release of eBOSS Spectra

    This paper documents the 16th data release (DR16) from the Sloan Digital Sky Surveys (SDSS), the fourth and penultimate from the fourth phase (SDSS-IV). This is the first release of data from the Southern Hemisphere survey of the Apache Point Observatory Galactic Evolution Experiment 2 (APOGEE-2); new data from APOGEE-2 North are also included. DR16 is also notable as the final data release for the main cosmological program of the Extended Baryon Oscillation Spectroscopic Survey (eBOSS), and all raw and reduced spectra from that project are released here. DR16 also includes all the data from the Time Domain Spectroscopic Survey and new data from the SPectroscopic IDentification of ERosita Survey programs, both of which were co-observed on eBOSS plates. DR16 has no new data from the Mapping Nearby Galaxies at Apache Point Observatory (MaNGA) survey (or the MaNGA Stellar Library "MaStar"). We also preview future SDSS-V operations (due to start in 2020), and summarize plans for the final SDSS-IV data release (DR17).Peer reviewe
