FÍSTULA ABOMASO-UMBILICAL EM BEZERRO: RELATO DE CASO

Objetivou-se por meio deste relato a ocorrência de fístula abomaso-umbilical em bezerro Girolando, descrevendo a sintomatologia clínica e tratamento instituído. Um bezerro com quatro meses de idade e 80 kg, apresentou histórico de onfaloflebite e lesão eritematosa com edemaciação umbilical. À inspeção física, verificou-se gotejamento de secreção esbranquiçada com aspecto leitoso e presença de orifício na região umbilical. Verificou-se pela palpação digital a presença de tecido pregueado semelhante mucosa abomasal. Por meio desses achados, sugeriu-se o diagnóstico de fístula abomaso-umbilical e procedeu-se a correção cirúrgica da lesão fistulante. Após 15 dias do tratamento instituído, o animal recebeu alta médica. Dessa forma, pôde-se concluir que, apesar de rara, essa patologia foi de fácil diagnóstico clínico e a terapia foi capaz promover a completa recuperação do animal

Spatial analysis of the social vulnerability of adolescent pregnancy

The purpose of this study was to present a spatial analysis of the social vulnerability of teenage pregnancy by geoprocessing data on births and deaths present on the Brazilian Ministry of Health databases in order to support intersectoral management actions and strategies based on spatial analysis in neighborhood areas. The thematic maps of the educational, occupational, birth and marital status of mothers, from all births and deaths in the city, presented a spatial correlation with teenage pregnancy. These maps were superimposed to produce social vulnerability map of adolescent pregnancy and women in general. This process presents itself as a powerful tool for the study of social vulnerability

Large expert-curated database for benchmarking document similarity detection in biomedical literature search

Document recommendation systems for locating relevant literature have mostly relied on methods developed a decade ago. This is largely due to the lack of a large offline gold-standard benchmark of relevant documents that cover a variety of research fields such that newly developed literature search techniques can be compared, improved and translated into practice. To overcome this bottleneck, we have established the RElevant LIterature SearcH consortium consisting of more than 1500 scientists from 84 countries, who have collectively annotated the relevance of over 180 000 PubMed-listed articles with regard to their respective seed (input) article/s. The majority of annotations were contributed by highly experienced, original authors of the seed articles. The collected data cover 76% of all unique PubMed Medical Subject Headings descriptors. No systematic biases were observed across different experience levels, research fields or time spent on annotations. More importantly, annotations of the same document pairs contributed by different scientists were highly concordant. We further show that the three representative baseline methods used to generate recommended articles for evaluation (Okapi Best Matching 25, Term Frequency-Inverse Document Frequency and PubMed Related Articles) had similar overall performances. Additionally, we found that these methods each tend to produce distinct collections of recommended articles, suggesting that a hybrid method may be required to completely capture all relevant articles. The established database server located at https://relishdb.ict.griffith.edu.au is freely available for the downloading of annotation data and the blind testing of new methods. We expect that this benchmark will be useful for stimulating the development of new powerful techniques for title and title/abstract-based search engines for relevant articles in biomedical research.Peer reviewe

A Cidade entre Imagens e Imaginários: Algumas contribuições dos olhares skatistas

Resumo:Esse trabalho discute a importância da produção visual, sobretudo, a fotografia, na constituição da imagem da cidade. Aborda, também, o papel da tecnologia digital na composição das subjetividades contemporâneas e suas contribuições para se fortalecer uma cultura urbana, mesmo em meio às limitações impostas pela sociedade. Para sua realização observou-se etnograficamente um grupo de skatistas, em uma pista de skate, numa cidade do interior de São Paulo. A importância dada ao celular foi um traço recorrente que permeou grande parte das discussões. Portar um aparelho híbrido e produzir imagens é uma maneira de contribuir para a construção do imaginário sobre a cidade, sobretudo, quando essas imagens veiculam pela internet. Acredita-se que o trabalho traz problematizações sobre os jovens na relação consigo, com o outro, com o grupo e com a cidade.Palavras-chave: Subjetividade. Cidade. Jovem. Skatista. Tecnologia  THE CITY BETWEEN IMAGES AND IMAGINARY: SOME CONTRIBUTIONS FROM SKATEBOARDERS' EYES Abstract: This work discusses the importance of visual production, especially photography, in the constitution of the city’s image. It also addresses the role of digital technology in the composition of contemporary subjectivities and its contributions to strengthening an urban culture, even amid the limitations imposed by society. For its realization it was observed ethnographically a group of skateboarders, in a skate track, in a city of the interior of São Paulo. The importance given to cellular was a recurrent trait that permeated much of the discussions. Carrying a hybrid device and producing images is a way of contributing to the construction of the imaginary about the city, especially when these images are transmitted through the internet. Albuns de casamento em dois movimentos : fragmentos visuais de um ritual

Points, obstacles and tricks : etnography of a group of young skatists in São José dos Campos (SP)

Orientador: Dirce Djanira Pacheco e ZanTese (doutorado) - Universidade Estadual de Campinas, Faculdade de EducaçãoResumo: Caminhar pela cidade e se deparar com a multiplicidade de relações que ela comporta e a diversificação de modos como os seus espaços são utilizados instiga o passante mais atento a reflexões em torno do dinamismo que a constitui. Ao partir dessa premissa, identificou-se uma prática cultural que nasce urbana e mostra-se, cada vez mais, entrelaçada à efervescência da urbanidade. O skate foi o movimento escolhido para a abordagem e a pista ¿ skate park ¿ do bairro Jardim Aquarius, em São José dos Campos, São Paulo, o lugar de observação dos sujeitos. Através da etnografia procurou-se olhar atentamente para as nuanças oscilantes que a socialidade faz produzir. Pretendeu-se, com esse trabalho, problematizar questões em torno da circulação e da apropriação da cidade pelo jovem, os sentidos do skate nesse processo e na configuração das socialidades e subjetividades juvenis e o papel da tecnologia nessa dinâmica. A ida ao campo aconteceu periodicamente aos sábados, entre 14h00 e 18h00, de junho a dezembro, de 2015, e contou com anotações no diário de campo e produção de fotografias. Juntamente às observações, foram realizadas 16 entrevistas com skatistas da cidade. As informações coletadas apontaram as três dimensões que conduziram às análises. Subjetividade e socialidade ¿ discutem a relação do skatista consigo, com o grupo e com a sociedade; Espacialidades ¿ prioriza a relação do skatista com o lugar e a cidade; Processos comunicacionais ¿ enfatizam o papel das tecnologias na vivência do skatista. Acredita-se, contudo, que o trabalho traz problematizações consistentes sobre as temáticas propostas e potencializa, equitativamente, outros debates a posteriori em torno da tríade juventude, cidade e tecnologiaAbstract: Walking through the city and meeting a multiplicity of relationships with a diversification of modes as their spaces are popular, that is, a closer passer to reflections around the dynamism that the constitution. Starting from this premise, we identify a urban cultural practice that is increasingly intertwined with the effervescence of urbanity. The skateboard for the movement chosen for an approach and a track ¿ skate park ¿ of the neighborhood Jardim Aquário, in São José dos Campos, São Paulo, the place of observation of the subjects. Through the documentation, look for a close look at the oscillating nuances that is a production company. The aim was to problematize questions about the circulation and suitability of the city to the young, the senses of skateboarding in the process and the configuration of social facts and young subjectivities and the role of technology in this dynamic. Together with the observations, 16 interviews with skaters in the city. As collected information they pointed as three dimensions that led as analyzes. Profissionais especializados e receptores-fontes: a fotografia no contexto da ‘pós-verdade’

As tecnologias digitais ofereceram subsídio técnico-estrutural para mudanças nas formas de comunicabilidade e quebraram o monopólio da informação jornalística, enquanto ordenadora de sentido do mundo social. Este artigo não parte do pressuposto do fim do jornalismo, mas traz em evidência o agenciamento dos receptores como produtores de informação – pelo que os que iremos denominar por receptores-fontes – e de profissionais em Big Data para a manipulação da informação em larga escala e de forma especializada. A partir deste cenário, objetiva-se investigar a manipulação fotográfica no trato da informação a fim de instigar a reflexão e os desafios da multiplicidade de olhares em um contexto em que a verdade vem se desvinculando da sua posição cartesiana da idade moderna e revelando suas combinações, contradições, afetos e imaginação e mostrando-se como instrumento político de reforço às crenças pessoais.Digital technologies offered technical-structural support for changes in the forms of communicability and broke the monopoly of journalistic information, as an organizer of meaning in the social world. This article is not based on the assumption of the end of journalism, but highlights the of the receptors as producers of information – because of which we will call them source-receptors – and professionals in Big Data for the manipulation of information on a large scale and in a specialized way.
