    Character Issues: Reality Character Problems and Solutions through Education in Indonesia

    Weak character education raises the problem of corruption, a fight between students, free sex, drugs and rape/abortion indicate that the issue of character education of the nation must be improved and the concern of all parties, the nation's leaders, law enforcement officers, educators, religious leaders, groups and other etc. There are two important issues about the educational character of the nation; Orientation bias and bias value national character education focus of the nation. This paper includes concern for the problems faced by Indonesia in terms of character education, and then analyze the facts and the reality that is happening, in this paper discussed the alternative settlement. Character development if it is to effectively and intact is the reform of education through curriculum changes to include three institutions, namely the family, school and community. The first step to do is reconnect relations and educational networks that breaking point between the third educational institution. Without the three institutions, education programs in schools only a discourse character alone will not work because there is no continuity and harmonization.     Model Debate for the Yellow Book Learning in Islamic Boarding School

    This study aimed to determine the effect model of debate in the yellow book learning in schools to improve students' critical thinking skills so they can find a new science. This study was an experimental study with a control group. The study was conducted in classes XI Islamic Boarding School Al-Hidayah Jambi. This study uses two parallel classes, two classes as the control group and three other classes as the experimental class. In a grade control applied to conventional learning models and models applied experimental class debate. Results are expected in this study is a model debate can enhance students' critical thinking abilities of conventional learning models. It can be concluded that the model of the debate in the yellow book learning can increase the effective, critical thinking skills so that students can discover new knowledge for each study. Through the model is expected to debate helped teachers in the classroom so that learning takes place more systematically implemented and significantly improved comprehension and critical thinking skills of students.     New Media as an Ideological Transmission Opportunity for Religious Authorities in Indonesia

    This paper endeavors to explore the impact of New Media on the dynamics of religious authorities, with a particular focus on Indonesia. Seeking to challenge the prevailing assumption, this research adopts a qualitative method grounded in a comprehensive literature review. Drawing from diverse sources such as journal articles, proceedings, books, and online news, the study poses a pivotal question: how do religious authorities in Indonesia leverage New Media as a conduit for ideological transmission? In contrast to the commonly held belief, the proposed thesis of this article contends that New Media doesn't serve as a catalyst for the transformation of religious authorities in Indonesia. Instead, it functions as a valuable opportunity for the dissemination of religious information. Framed within the media technology perspective articulated by Gill Branston and Roy Stafford (2003), the findings of this research underscore the strategic design of platforms like the Nahdlatul Ulama Online website, the Indonesian Ulema Council Da'wah Application, and Muhammadiyah.or.id to illustrate that New Media serves as a potent tool for Indonesian Islamic authorities in fortifying the organizational identity

    Pengembangan ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan materi ajar Pendidikan Kewarganegaraan dengan Pendekatan Kontekstual pada perguruan tinggi untuk pegangan dosen dan mahasiswa. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Sekolah Tinggi Agama Islam An Nadwah Kuala Tungkal. Model Pengembangan yang digunakan adalah pengembangan model desain Dick dan Carry. Model ini terdiri atas 10 (sepuluh) langkah, yakni (a) mengidentifikasi tujuan umum pembelajaran, (b) melakukan analisis pembelajaran, (c) mengidentifikasi karakteristik kemampuan awal, (d) merumuskan tujuan khusus pembelajaran, (e) mengembangkan tes acuan patokan, (f) mengembangkan strategi pembelajaran, (g) pegembangkan dan memilih bahan pembelajaran, (h) merancang dan mengadakan evaluasi formatif, (i) merevisi pem-belajaran, dan (j) melaksanakan evaluasi sumatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa bahan ajar yang dikembangkan dapat digunakan pada perkuliahan Pendidikan Kewarganegaraan di perguruan tinggi, khususnya pada perkuliahan di STAI An Nadwah Tungkal

    Optimizing The Prototype Curriculum Based on Religious Values and Local Wisdom through The Principal's Role

    This article aims to analyze the role of the principal in optimizing a prototype curriculum based on religious values and local wisdom in one of the Aliyah Negeri Madrasahs in Jambi Province. This study seeks to reveal the phenomena and meanings in the field, so the researcher uses a qualitative phenomenological approach to answer this. Observation, interviews and documentation were carried out to collect data in the field. While the data analysis was carried out in stages, starting from data collection, reduction, data display, and conclusion. The results of the study show that the role of the madrasa head in optimizing the prototype curriculum based on religious values and local wisdom is shown through; the head of the madrasa as a pioneer of reform, analyzing the needs of curriculum prototypes, curriculum design based on religious values and local wisdom, skills improvement, continuous monitoring and evaluation. This research provides implications for the importance of innovation, renewal, sensitivity and leadership strategic steps in responding to societal demands and the challenges of the times

The findings show that in this increasingly sophisticated digital era, it has greatly influenced the mental development of the alpha generation which is very dependent on technology, many parents are negligent in supervising children, thus triggering children to commit deviant actions, for this reason, parents as educators The main role in the family must be able to educate and raise children to create good characters as early as possible. In the Qur'an there are many examples of parenting styles that have been applied by the prophet and previous people that can be applied today.
