    This paper intends to show the rise of a new paradigma of the Brazilianpopular music legitimation, based on the circulation increase of the musicalrepertory globally produced and on the accessibility to the technological toolswhich provides autonomy of creation and distribution. This hypothesis is defendedbased on the analysis of the tecnobrega scene from Pará (Brazil), musical stylethat updates with resources from electronic music a musical tradition despised bythe elites: the kitsch romantic music from Pará produced between the decades of1980 and 1990, which introduced the informality in the Brazilian music business.Este artigo aponta a emergência de um novo paradigma de legitimação da música popular brasileira, baseado no aumento da circulação do acervo musical produzido globalmente e na acessibilidade às ferramentas tecnológicas que possibilitam autonomia de criação e de distribuição. Essa hipótese é defendida com base na análise do circuito paraense do tecnobrega, estilo musical que atualiza com recursos da música eletrônica uma tradição musical desprezada pelas elites, a música brega romântica do Pará, produzida entre as décadas de 1980 e 1990, que introduziu a informalidade no negócio da música no país

    Special Education remains a major challenge in society. Thus, many methodologies and didactic-pedagogic resources have been deployed in order to further the teaching and learning process in different subjects, with emphasis on Science teaching. By understanding the importance of diseases caused by microorganisms, the game titled “Knowing the unseen world - challenging signal” was conceived as a didactic proposal to inform and enlighten deaf students from Elementary School on this subject, applying visual tools. Therefore, its construction took the National Curriculum Parameters (NCP) for Natural Sciences as a guiding, and the development of the graphic art consisted of simple and low cost materials. As a result, it was obtained a teaching resource with signs of LIBRAS that meets the objectives and contents that addresses of the three main themes of the NCPs. So, this is a suggestion to work the microbial content in a less abstract and more attractive form to deaf students, providing an opportunity to address issues specified in science curriculum in order to support the teaching-learning process focused on scientific literacy and the appropriation of knowledge related to the development of skills and abilities necessary to the current society.http://dx.doi.org/10.5902/1984686X7148A educação especial ainda é um grande desafio. Nesse sentido, muitas metodologias e recursos didáticos pedagógicos, têm sido implantados para favorecer o processo de ensino e aprendizagem em diferentes disciplinas, com destaque para ensino em Ciências. Compreendendo a importância da temática relacionada às doenças causadas por micro-organismos, o jogo intitulado “Conhecendo o mundo invisível – desafio de sinais” trata-se de uma proposta didática, para informar e esclarecer alunos surdos do Ensino Fundamental sobre o assunto, utilizando ferramentas visuais. Para tanto, sua construção tomou como documento norteador os Parâmetros Curriculares Nacionais (PCNs) de Ciências Naturais, com o desenvolvimento da arte gráfica do jogo, constituído de materiais simples e de baixo custo. Como resultado obteve-se um recurso pedagógico com sinais da Língua Brasileira de Sinais (Libras) que atende aos objetivos e aborda conteúdos que permeiam por três eixos temáticos dos PCNs. Portanto, trata-se de uma sugestão para trabalhar os conteúdos microbianos de modo menos abstrato e mais atraente aos alunos com surdez, constituindo uma possibilidade de abordar temas previstos no currículo de Ciências, de maneira a subsidiar ensino e o processo de aprendizagem voltado para a alfabetização científica e a apropriação de conhecimentos relacionados ao desenvolvimento de competências e habilidades necessárias ao mundo atual.

    Interactions between Candida albicans and Candida glabrata in biofilms: influence of the strain type, culture medium and glucose supplementation

    The relationship among Candida species may be influenced by several factors. Thus, this study evaluated the interactions between Candida albicans and Candida glabrata in biofilms, varying the strain type, culture medium and glucose supplementation. Biofilms were formed for 48 h in SDB or RPMI 1640, supplemented with 0, 1 or 5% glucose. Each strain of C. albicans was combined with two strains of C. glabrata, generating 4 biofilm associations, which were quantified by colony-forming units (CFUs), total biomass and metabolic activity. Data were analyzed by ANOVA and Tukey's HSD test ( = 0.05). For CFUs, all associations were classified as indifferent for biofilms formed in RPMI 1640, while for SDB the interactions were antagonistic for C. albicans and indifferent for C. glabrata. The association of reference strains resulted in a dual-species biofilm with biomass significantly higher than that observed for each single biofilm developed in SDB. The metabolic activity of dual-species biofilms did not significantly differ from that found for single ones, except for co-culture of the reference strains. Glucose supplementation and culture media had a significant influence on all parameters.     Alergia a la proteína de leche de vaca en la infancia: microbiota, hidrolizados y tolerancia

    Trabajo presentado al XIII Workshop Sociedad Española de Microbiota, Probióticos y Prebióticos, celebrado en Valencia (España), del 7 la 9 de junio de 2022.Introducción La alergia a proteínas de leche de vaca (APLV) es la alergia alimentaria más frecuente en la infancia, habiéndose descrito posibles relaciones con la microbiota intestinal y con el tipo de alimentación. El objetivo de este trabajo es profundizar en el estudio de la microbiota intestinal en menores de un año con APLV y su relación con la adquisición de tolerancia y dieta, comparando muestras al diagnóstico y a los 6 meses de seguimiento con dieta de exclusión láctea. Metodología Se reclutaron 22 pacientes diagnosticados con APLV (14 mediados por IgE y 8 no mediados) y un grupo control de 25 niños sanos. Se recogieron muestras de heces y se realizó un análisis metataxonómico del ADNr 16S y de las regiones ITS de bifidobacterias por secuenciación. Se evaluaron las características clínico-epidemiológicas de los pacientes y se realizó un seguimiento a los 6 meses para evaluar tolerancia y el uso de distintas fórmulas terapéuticas de sustitución alimentaria. Resultados Se detectó un mayor porcentaje de secuencias pertenecientes al filo Actinobacteria (¿60%) en controles frente a casos (¿30%) al diagnóstico. Además, el patrón de abundancias relativas de bifidobacterias fue diferente entre controles y pacientes no mediados por IgE, con una menor proporción de B. longum en estos últimos. Tras la dieta de exclusión, sólo 3 de los pacientes, que estaban tomando distintos tipos de fórmulas terapéuticas, adquirió tolerancia, de los cuales 2 eran casos no mediados por IgE. Conclusiones En los pacientes APLV no IgE mediada se observaron perfiles microbianos distintos de los lactantes sanos, encontrándose a su vez en este grupo una mayor tolerancia al cabo de 6 meses. En tratamiento y seguimiento de la APLV la determinación de la microbiota intestinal puede ser clave para establecer posibles vínculos con la adquisición de tolerancia y el tipo de hidrolizado

    Search for dark matter produced in association with bottom or top quarks in √s = 13 TeV pp collisions with the ATLAS detector

    A search for weakly interacting massive particle dark matter produced in association with bottom or top quarks is presented. Final states containing third-generation quarks and miss- ing transverse momentum are considered. The analysis uses 36.1 fb−1 of proton–proton collision data recorded by the ATLAS experiment at √s = 13 TeV in 2015 and 2016. No significant excess of events above the estimated backgrounds is observed. The results are in- terpreted in the framework of simplified models of spin-0 dark-matter mediators. For colour- neutral spin-0 mediators produced in association with top quarks and decaying into a pair of dark-matter particles, mediator masses below 50 GeV are excluded assuming a dark-matter candidate mass of 1 GeV and unitary couplings. For scalar and pseudoscalar mediators produced in association with bottom quarks, the search sets limits on the production cross- section of 300 times the predicted rate for mediators with masses between 10 and 50 GeV and assuming a dark-matter mass of 1 GeV and unitary coupling. Constraints on colour- charged scalar simplified models are also presented. Assuming a dark-matter particle mass of 35 GeV, mediator particles with mass below 1.1 TeV are excluded for couplings yielding a dark-matter relic density consistent with measurements
