The 16th moment of the three loop anomalous dimension of the non-singlet transversity operator in QCD
We present the result of the three loop anomalous dimension of non-singlet
transversity operator in QCD for the Mellin moment N=16. The obtained result
coincides with the prediction from arXiv:1203.1022 and can serve as a
confirmation of the correctness of the general expression for three loop
anomalous dimension of non-singlet transversity operator in QCD for the
arbitrary Mellin moment.Comment: 7 pages, 1 figure, minor changes in the tex
Two-hadron semi-inclusive production including subleading twist
We extend the analysis of two-hadron fragmentation functions to the
subleading twist, discussing also the issue of color gauge invariance. Our
results can be used anywhere two unpolarized hadrons are semi-inclusively
produced in the same fragmentation region, also at moderate values of the hard
scale Q. Here, we consider the example of polarized deep-inelastic production
of two hadrons and we give a complete list of cross sections and spin
asymmetries up to subleading twist. Among the results, we highlight the
possibility of extracting the transversity distribution with longitudinally
polarized targets and also the twist-3 distribution e(x), which is related to
the pion-nucleon sigma term and to the strangeness content of the nucleon.Comment: 16 pages, RevTeX4, 5 figures, revised notation of several formulae,

Finite calculation of divergent selfenergy diagrams
Using dispersive techniques, it is possible to avoid ultraviolet divergences
in the calculation of Feynman diagrams, making subsequent regularization of
divergent diagrams unnecessary. We give a simple introduction to the most
important features of such dispersive techniques in the framework of the
so-called finite causal perturbation theory. The method is also applied to the
'divergent' general massive two-loop sunrise selfenergy diagram, where it leads
directly to an analytic expression for the imaginary part of the diagram in
accordance with the literature, whereas the real part can be obtained by a
single integral dispersion relation. It is pointed out that dispersive methods
have been known for decades and have been applied to several nontrivial Feynman

Evolution of transverse momentum dependent distribution and fragmentation functions
We use Lorentz invariance and the QCD equations of motion to study the
evolution of functions that appear at leading order in a 1/Q expansion in
azimuthal asymmetries. This includes the evolution equation of the Collins
fragmentation function. The moments of these functions are matrix elements of
known twist two and twist three operators. We present the evolution in the
large N_c limit, restricting to non-singlet for the chiral-even functions.Comment: 15 pages revte
A new measurement of the Collins and Sivers asymmetries on a transversely polarised deuteron target
New high precision measurements of the Collins and Sivers asymmetries of
charged hadrons produced in deep-inelastic scattering of muons on a
transversely polarised 6LiD target are presented. The data were taken in 2003
and 2004 with the COMPASS spectrometer using the muon beam of the CERN SPS at
160 GeV/c. Both the Collins and Sivers asymmetries turn out to be compatible
with zero, within the present statistical errors, which are more than a factor
of 2 smaller than those of the published COMPASS results from the 2002 data.
The final results from the 2002, 2003 and 2004 runs are compared with naive
expectations and with existing model calculations.Comment: 40 pages, 28 figure
Transverse spin effects in hadron-pair production from semi-inclusive deep inelastic scattering
First measurements of azimuthal asymmetries in hadron-pair production in
deep-inelastic scattering of muons on transversely polarised ^6LiD (deuteron)
and NH_3 (proton) targets are presented. The data were taken in the years
2002-2004 and 2007 with the COMPASS spectrometer using a muon beam of 160 GeV/c
at the CERN SPS. The asymmetries provide access to the transversity
distribution functions, without involving the Collins effect as in single
hadron production. The sizeable asymmetries measured on the NH_ target indicate
non-vanishing u-quark transversity and two-hadron interference fragmentation
functions. The small asymmetries measured on the ^6LiD target can be
interpreted as indication for a cancellation of u- and d-quark transversities.Comment: 13 pages, 4 figures, updated to the published versio
Studies of Hadronic Event Structure in e+e- Annihilation from 30 GeV to 209 GeV with the L3 Detector
In this Report, QCD results obtained from a study of hadronic event structure
in high energy e^+e^- interactions with the L3 detector are presented. The
operation of the LEP collider at many different collision energies from 91 GeV
to 209 GeV offers a unique opportunity to test QCD by measuring the energy
dependence of different observables. The main results concern the measurement
of the strong coupling constant, \alpha_s, from hadronic event shapes and the
study of effects of soft gluon coherence through charged particle multiplicity

Measurement of prompt hadron production ratios in collisions at 0.9 and 7 TeV
The charged-particle production ratios , , ,
, and are measured with the LHCb detector using of collisions delivered by the LHC at TeV and
at TeV. The measurements are performed as a
function of transverse momentum and pseudorapidity . The
production ratios are compared to the predictions of several Monte Carlo
generator settings, none of which are able to describe adequately all
observables. The ratio is also considered as a function of rapidity
loss, , and is used to constrain models of
