Technological innovation has aroused the interest of managers of micro, small and large companies, because it is a contemporary theme that accelerates sustainable processes in several areas of management, mainly recognized by governments, businesses, universities and research centers as indispensable in contemporary economy. On the other hand, few organizations have structured systems and processes of innovation, since the ideas do not become real products and services, and many innovation actions are isolated and ineffective and are not aligned with the company’s strategic objectives. Through qualitative research, the study describes the innovation process of six suppliers associated with the PETROGAS/SE network, from its leaders´ perspectives. Interviews were analyzed using content analysis, and the results revealed that the management of the innovation process is based on the managers´ tacit knowledge. Companies with quality certification tend to manage their innovation process in a more structured way, and some steps in this process have greater adherence to studied theory.

This paper aims to make an evaluative study of the updates topography, land use and friction velocity performed in the atmospheric WRF model, and prove its efficiency in simulating the wind speed and direction patterns using measurements of anemometric station Maragogi/AL, during the period from August/2007 to July/2008, focusing to May/2008 showed low correlation coefficient indices. The changes resulted in improvements made in the correlation coefficient for the wind speed of 0.15 to 0.61, however it is not perceived improvement to the wind direction. Highlighted the fact that the topography and friction velocity were the variables that most influenced the simulations, however there was little difference between the default condition the update condition for land use. The average speed for the city of Maragogi/AL was 5,27m/s predominant direction of South East wind.

Objective: To assess the efficacy and safety of the use of midazolam as monotherapy, compared to the associated use of midazolam and hydroxyzine for minimum and moderate sedation of children in dental offices, using data obtained from clinical trials. Material and Methods: A systematic review protocol was developed and registered on PROSPERO (CR42020208633). An electronic search was carried out in Pubmed, Lilacs, Science Direct, Open Gray, Web of Science, and central Cochrane Library. No language restrictions were included. Clinical trials were carried out with children aged 0-12 years, using midazolam as monotherapy compared to the use of midazolam associated with hydroxyzine to verify the effectiveness and safety of oral sedation. The quality of the studies was individually assessed and grouped using the RoB 2 (Revised Cochrane risk-of-bias tool for randomized trials) and GRADE (Grading of Recommendations Assessment, Development and Evaluation) systems, respectively. Results: A total of 749 studies were found. After analyzing the inclusion and removal of duplicates, two studies were analyzed for the quality of evidence. Through this analysis, it was possible to verify the very low level of scientific evidence on the superiority of the efficacy and safety of the combined use of midazolam and hydroxyzine for oral sedation in children in dental offices. Conclusion: The conflicting results and limitations of the studies enabled to establish that there is insufficient evidence to support the use of these drugs combined. There is only evidence for the use of midazolam as monotherapy

This is an analytical, observational and cross-sectional study conducted from August 2017 to February 2020 in patients with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) that aimed to assess respiratory muscle strength and endurance, peripheral muscle strength and functional capacity in patients with COPD. Respiratory muscle function was assessed using strength and endurance, peripheral muscle strength using the handgrip test, and functional capacity using the six-minute walk test (6MWT). The sensation of dyspnea was assessed by modified Medical Research Council and risk of exacerbation/hospitalization according to the classification of the Global Initiative for Chronic Obstructive Lung (GOLD). For statistical analysis, the Kolmogorov Smirnov, Chi-square, Pearson's correlation, Student t, ANOVA, and Bonferroni tests were performed with a significance level of 0.05. Forty patients were analyzed. There was a reduction in inspiratory and peripheral muscle strength in 97.5% (p <0.001) and 80% of patients (p = 0.001), respectively, in addition to a decrease in functional capacity in 97.4% (p <0.001) of individuals evaluated. There was a correlation between the GOLD classification with 6MWT (p=0.005) and inspiratory muscle strength (p=0.041), in addition to a relation between distance traveled and spirometric severity of obstruction (p=0.049). We conclude that there was a significant reduction in respiratory and peripheral muscle strength and functional capacity. The higher the degree of obstruction, the worse the performance on the 6MWT. In addition, patients who walked less have a higher risk of exacerbation and hospitalization, as well as those who have less respiratory muscle strength

    Get PDF

This paper presents a measurement of the cross-section for high transverse momentum W and Z bosons produced in pp collisions and decaying to all-hadronic final states. The data used in the analysis were recorded by the ATLAS detector at the CERN Large Hadron Collider at a centre-of-mass energy of √s = 7 TeV;{\rm Te}{\rm V}andcorrespondtoanintegratedluminosityof and correspond to an integrated luminosity of 4.6\;{\rm f}{{{\rm b}}^{-1}}.ThemeasurementisperformedbyreconstructingtheboostedWorZbosonsinsinglejets.ThereconstructedjetmassisusedtoidentifytheWandZbosons,andajetsubstructuremethodbasedonenergyclusterinformationinthejetcentreofmassframeisusedtosuppressthelargemultijetbackground.ThecrosssectionforeventswithahadronicallydecayingWorZboson,withtransversemomentum. The measurement is performed by reconstructing the boosted W or Z bosons in single jets. The reconstructed jet mass is used to identify the W and Z bosons, and a jet substructure method based on energy cluster information in the jet centre-of-mass frame is used to suppress the large multi-jet background. The cross-section for events with a hadronically decaying W or Z boson, with transverse momentum {{p}_{{\rm T}}}\gt 320\;{\rm Ge}{\rm V}andpseudorapidity and pseudorapidity |\eta |\lt 1.9,ismeasuredtobe, is measured to be {{\sigma }_{W+Z}}=8.5\pm 1.7$ pb and is compared to next-to-leading-order calculations. The selected events are further used to study jet grooming techniques

Observation of associated near-side and away-side long-range correlations in √sNN=5.02  TeV proton-lead collisions with the ATLAS detector

    Get PDF
Two-particle correlations in relative azimuthal angle (Δϕ) and pseudorapidity (Δη) are measured in √sNN=5.02  TeV p+Pb collisions using the ATLAS detector at the LHC. The measurements are performed using approximately 1  μb-1 of data as a function of transverse momentum (pT) and the transverse energy (ΣETPb) summed over 3.1<η<4.9 in the direction of the Pb beam. The correlation function, constructed from charged particles, exhibits a long-range (2<|Δη|<5) “near-side” (Δϕ∼0) correlation that grows rapidly with increasing ΣETPb. A long-range “away-side” (Δϕ∼π) correlation, obtained by subtracting the expected contributions from recoiling dijets and other sources estimated using events with small ΣETPb, is found to match the near-side correlation in magnitude, shape (in Δη and Δϕ) and ΣETPb dependence. The resultant Δϕ correlation is approximately symmetric about π/2, and is consistent with a dominant cos⁡2Δϕ modulation for all ΣETPb ranges and particle pT
