This cross sectional study determine the growth, feeding problems and nutrient intakes of cerebral palsy children and adolescents. A total of 153 subjects (68 females, 85 males) aged between 2 to 15 years old (mean 8.93+3.5) from community rehabilitation centers and spestic centers around Kuala Lumpur, Muar and Penang were recruited using convenience sampling method. 61% of subjects had feeding problems especially in the severe level group (72.9%) as compared to the mild (50.6%) [(χ2=7.890), p<0.05], whereby choking and swallowing were significantly associated with their severity levels [(χ2choking=7.183), p<0.05; (χ2 swallowing=9.994), p<0.05]. Subjects with feeding problems have lower body weight, height, BMI, fold and MUAC (p<0.05 for all parameters). 60% of cerebral palsy subjects had poor nutritional status, feeding problems and the presence of feeding problems significantly affects their growth. Keywords: cerebral palsy; feeding problem; specific growth charts; gross motor classification system; wasting

Windstorm hazardous area mapping using multi-criteria evaluation techniques of fuzzy logic approach.

The goal of this study to determine the most exposed area to windstorm event using fuzzy logic approach. Respond to the Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 11 and 13, Sustainable Cities and Communities and Climate Action, this study was conducted to establish the preparedness in high-risk region. To achieve this goal, the influencing indicator was identified based on previous study. The related indicator comprises of wind speed, temperature, relative humidity, precipitation, slope, population, road, and land use. Fuzzy membership model implemented to aggregating the indicator to standard value 0 to 1. A fuzzy model was used as a method to integrate the constructed index values, and a frequency ratio was used to determine the fuzzy membership value. Different fuzzy operators (AND, OR, SUM, PRODUCT, and GAMMA) are applied to generate windstorm hazard map. The fuzzy gamma ( 3) operator, with γequal to 0.9, was used to create wind hazard map into different zones of five relative sensitivity classes: very high, high, moderate, low, and very low. 10.65% of study area has very high sensitivity towards windstorm hazard which distributed at high area (Banjaran titiwangsa), West Coast area (Pahang and West Johor) and north area (Perlis). In addition, some part in the surrounding region of Peninsular Malaysia were also identified as windstorm hazard due to the dense of urban area such at Johor Bharu and Klang Valley area. 7.20% of the study area has very-low windstorm hazard and is mainly located in the middle part

The objective of present work was to develop a novel liposomes-based drug delivery system for a lipophilic non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug, piroxicam. The system was prepared using proliposomes method and optimised for different preparation parameters including type of proliposomes, concentration of drug, duration of hydration and type of particle size reduction treatment used. All prepared liposomal samples were extensively characterized for their drug-entrapment and size profile using various in-vitro techniques. Present work showed that the most optimum formulation (Pro-lipoTM Duo; 12mg piroxicam per gram Pro-lipoTM; 10 hours hydration time) produced highest amount of actual drug been entrapped in liposomes (800.4 mg/g Pro-lipoTM) with a satisfactory entrapment efficiency of 15.36%. This formulation had also produced liposomal samples with a homogenous (polydispersity index = 0.45) and small particle size (359.95nm). Extrusion technique was found to cause significant reduction in drug-entrapment and size profile of drug-loaded liposomes. A 4-weeks storage study showed that drug-entrapment and size profile of liposomal samples were stable in both refrigerated and room temperature. Electron microscopy revealed that prepared liposomal samples were spherical-shaped and showed concentric lamellae. In conclusion, present work successfully demonstrated a simple, reproducible and practical method of preparation for liposomes-encapsulated piroxicam. Keywords: Proliposomes; Liposomes; Piroxicam; Encapsulation; Particle size; Transmission electron microscop

Search for neutral resonances decaying into a Z boson and a pair of b jets or τ leptons

A search is performed for a new resonance decaying into a lighter resonance and a Z boson. Two channels are studied, targeting the decay of the lighter resonance into either a pair of oppositely charged τ leptons or a bb‾ pair. The Z boson is identified via its decays to electrons or muons. The search exploits data collected by the CMS experiment at a centre-of-mass energy of 8 TeV, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 19.8 fb −1 . No significant deviations are observed from the standard model expectation and limits are set on production cross sections and parameters of two-Higgs-doublet models
