The main purpose of this research was to promote playful learning spaces through traditional games in the school break of third grade students of the Pueblo Nuevo Ciprés Educational Institution. The methodology used is qualitative, supported by descriptive research, in a representative sample of eleven (11) students chosen from the third grade. The results obtained from the initial diagnosis showed that the students have little knowledge of traditional games, for this reason they practice more sports activities during school breaks, it was also possible to verify that teachers do not use them in the teaching and learning processes, ignoring their benefits in the cognitive development of the student, their family ties, way of communicating, roles, among others. Aspects that contribute to achieving better learning. Likewise, the traditional playful games that are most practiced in the village of Ciprés and those that parents would like to practice and participate with their children in the school breaks of the educational center will be taken into account. Therefore, with the design of the pedagogical playful proposal, it seeks to propose playful spaces where students can practice the traditional games of their region and in turn motivate them to learn in the company of their families, developing significant learning, since innovative strategies such as This encourages the cognitive development of learners, allowing them to feel like learning

Transverse-momentum and pseudorapidity distributions of charged hadrons in pppp collisions at s\sqrt{s} = 7 TeV

Charged-hadron transverse-momentum and pseudorapidity distributions in proton-proton collisions at s=7\sqrt{s} = 7~TeV are measured with the inner tracking system of the CMS detector at the LHC. The charged-hadron yield is obtained by counting the number of reconstructed hits, hit-pairs, and fully reconstructed charged-particle tracks. The combination of the three methods gives a charged-particle multiplicity per unit of pseudorapidity \dnchdeta|_{|\eta| < 0.5} = 5.78\pm 0.01\stat\pm 0.23\syst for non-single-diffractive events, higher than predicted by commonly used models. The relative increase in charged-particle multiplicity from s=0.9\sqrt{s} = 0.9 to 7~TeV is 66.1\%\pm 1.0\%\stat\pm 4.2\%\syst. The mean transverse momentum is measured to be 0.545\pm 0.005\stat\pm 0.015\syst\GeVc. The results are compared with similar measurements at lower energies.Charged-hadron transverse-momentum and pseudorapidity distributions in proton-proton collisions at sqrt(s) = 7 TeV are measured with the inner tracking system of the CMS detector at the LHC. Measurement of the charge ratio of atmospheric muons with the CMS detector

    No full text
We present a measurement of the ratio of positive to negative muon fluxes from cosmic ray interactions in the atmosphere, using data collected by the CMS detector both at ground level and in the underground experimental cavern at the CERN LHC. Muons were detected in the momentum range from 5 GeV/ c to 1 TeV/ c . The surface flux ratio is measured to be 1.2766±0.0032(stat.)±0.0032(syst.) , independent of the muon momentum, below 100 GeV/ c . This is the most precise measurement to date. At higher momenta the data are consistent with an increase of the charge ratio, in agreement with cosmic ray shower models and compatible with previous measurements by deep-underground experiments. We present a measurement of the ratio of positive to negative muon fluxes from cosmic ray interactions in the atmosphere, using data collected by the CMS detector both at ground level and in the underground experimental cavern at the CERN LHC. Advanced LIGO and Advanced Virgo are monitoring the sky and collecting gravitational-wave strain data with sufficient sensitivity to detect signals routinely. In this paper we describe the data recorded by these instruments during their first and second observing runs. The main data products are gravitational-wave strain time series sampled at 16384 Hz. The datasets that include this strain measurement can be freely accessed through the Gravitational Wave Open Science Center at http://gw-openscience.org, together with data-quality information essential for the analysis of LIGO and Virgo data, documentation, tutorials, and supporting software

Search for Pair Production of Second-Generation Scalar Leptoquarks in pp Collisions at sqrt(s) = 7 TeV

    No full text
A search for pair production of second-generation scalar leptoquarks in the final state with two muons and two jets is performed using proton-proton collision data at sqrt(s) = 7 TeV collected by the CMS detector at the LHC. The data sample used corresponds to an integrated luminosity of 34 inverse picobarns. The number of observed events is in good agreement with the predictions from the standard model processes. An upper limit is set on the second-generation leptoquark cross section times beta^2 as a function of the leptoquark mass, and leptoquarks with masses below 394 GeV are excluded at a 95% confidence level for beta = 1, where beta is the leptoquark branching fraction into a muon and a quark. These limits are the most stringent to date

To investigate the role of Lyt-2 and Thy-1 in cytolysis, we have generated, by ethyl methanesulfonate mutagenesis and selection, variants of the cloned cytolytic T lymphocyte line L3 that specifically lack either Lyt-2 or Thy-1. An analysis of these variants indicates that neither Lyt-2 nor Lyt-3 is responsible for the lethal hit, but suggests that Lyt-2 and/or Lyt-3 are required for an antigen receptor functional in cytolysis. The data also suggest that the expression of Lyt-3 on the cell surface is not independent of the expression of Lyt-2. Finally the data indicate the Thy-1 plays no role in cytolysis.6788878PMC218609
