    ΩcγΩc\Omega_c \gamma \rightarrow\Omega_c^\ast transition in lattice QCD

    We study the electromagnetic ΩcγΩc\Omega_c \gamma \rightarrow\Omega_c^\ast transition in 2+1 flavor lattice QCD, which gives access to the dominant decay mode of Ωc\Omega_c^\ast baryon. The magnetic dipole and the electric quadrupole transition form factors are computed. The magnetic dipole form factor is found to be mainly determined by the strange quark and the electric quadrupole form factor to be negligibly small, in consistency with the quark model.     The slaughterhouse is responsible for the Occupational Safety and Health of the workers and other people related to the activities. The purpose of the study was to examine the implementation of the Occupational Health and Safety program at abattoir in DKI Jakarta. This study uses the Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment, and Risk Control (HIRARC) method as a guideline for identifying potential hazards and health problems in slaughterhouses. The results of the hazard severity assessment (Severity) based on risk analysis and risk evaluation show that the percentage of the impact of very light risk is 7%, light risk is 34% the impact of currently risk is 34%, the impact of heavy risk is 21% and the impact of fatal risk is 3%. The probability of an accident (likelihood) in the three abattoirs shows that abattoir C is less likely to have an accident with a percentage of 53%. The smaller of production capacity of an abattoir, the less likely an accident will occur. Risk control can be carried out by elimination, substitution, technicalcontrol, administrative control, and the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

    The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of social media on smartphone purchase interest through the hedonic lifestyle as an intervening variable. The population in this study were iPhone smartphone users in the city of Surakarta and surrounding areas. The sampling technique in this study uses non propability sampling by using Accidential Sampling or providing a link to fill out a questionnaire using Google Form. The number of samples in this study were 100 respondents. Analysis of the data in this study is to use the Path Analysis test with SPSS version 20. Where the variables used in this research are social media, purchase interest, and hedonic lifestyle. The results showed that social media had a significant positive effect on buying interest, Social Media had a significant positive effect on hedonic lifestyles, hedonic lifestyles had a significant positive effect on buying interest, social media had a significant positive effect on buying interest mediated by hedonic lifestyles. It can be concluded that the results of the study prove that the hedonic lifestyle has a role as an intervening variable between social media and buying interest

    Radiative transitions of doubly charmed baryons in lattice QCD

    We evaluate the spin-3/2→spin-1/2 electromagnetic transitions of the doubly charmed baryons on 2+1 flavor, 323×64 PACS-CS lattices with a pion mass of 156(9) MeV/c2. A relativistic heavy quark action is employed to minimize the associated systematic errors on charm-quark observables. We extract the magnetic dipole, M1, and the electric quadrupole, E2, transition form factors. In order to make a reliable estimate of the M1 form factor, we carry out an analysis by including the effect of excited-state contributions. We find that the M1 transition is dominant and light degrees of freedom (u/d- or s-quark) play the leading role. E2 form factors, on the other hand, are found to be negligibly small, which in turn, have a minimal effect on the helicity and transition amplitudes. We predict the decay widths and lifetimes of Ξcc∗+,++ and Ωcc∗+ based on our results. Finite size effects on these ensembles are expected to be around 1%. Differences in kinematical and dynamical factors with respect to the Nγ→Δ transition are discussed and compared to nonlattice determinations while keeping possible systematic artifacts in mind. A comparison to Ωcγ→Ωc∗ transition and a discussion on systematic errors related to the choice of heavy quark action are also given. Results we present here are particularly suggestive for experimental facilities such as LHCb, PANDA, Belle II, and BESIII to search for further states.TÜBİTAK ; KAKENHIPublisher versio

    Muc2-dependent microbial colonization of the jejunal mucus layer is diet sensitive and confers local resistance to enteric pathogen infection.

    Intestinal mucus barriers normally prevent microbial infections but are sensitive to diet-dependent changes in the luminal environment. Here we demonstrate that mice fed a Western-style diet (WSD) suffer regiospecific failure of the mucus barrier in the small intestinal jejunum caused by diet-induced mucus aggregation. Mucus barrier disruption due to either WSD exposure or chromosomal Muc2 deletion results in collapse of the commensal jejunal microbiota, which in turn sensitizes mice to atypical jejunal colonization by the enteric pathogen Citrobacter rodentium. We illustrate the jejunal mucus layer as a microbial habitat, and link the regiospecific mucus dependency of the microbiota to distinctive properties of the jejunal niche. Together, our data demonstrate a symbiotic mucus-microbiota relationship that normally prevents jejunal pathogen colonization, but is highly sensitive to disruption by exposure to a WSD

    OBJECTIVE: To investigate the antenatal management and outcome in a large international cohort of monochorionic twin pregnancies with spontaneous or post-laser twin anemia-polycythemia sequence (TAPS). METHODS: This study analyzed data of monochorionic twin pregnancies diagnosed antenatally with spontaneous or post-laser TAPS in 17 fetal therapy centers, recorded in the TAPS Registry between 2014 and 2019. Antenatal diagnosis of TAPS was based on fetal middle cerebral artery peak systolic velocity > 1.5 multiples of the median (MoM) in the TAPS donor and < 1.0 MoM in the TAPS recipient. The following antenatal management groups were defined: expectant management, delivery within 7 days after diagnosis, intrauterine transfusion (IUT) (with or without partial exchange transfusion (PET)), laser surgery and selective feticide. Cases were assigned to the management groups based on the first treatment that was received after diagnosis of TAPS. The primary outcomes were perinatal mortality and severe neonatal morbidity. The secondary outcome was diagnosis-to-birth interval. RESULTS: In total, 370 monochorionic twin pregnancies were diagnosed antenatally with TAPS during the study period and included in the study. Of these, 31% (n = 113) were managed expectantly, 30% (n = 110) with laser surgery, 19% (n = 70) with IUT (± PET), 12% (n = 43) with delivery, 8% (n = 30) with selective feticide and 1% (n = 4) underwent termination of pregnancy. Perinatal mortality occurred in 17% (39/225) of pregnancies in the expectant-management group, 18% (38/215) in the laser group, 18% (25/140) in the IUT (± PET) group, 10% (9/86) in the delivery group and in 7% (2/30) of the cotwins in the selective-feticide group. The incidence of severe neonatal morbidity was 49% (41/84) in the delivery group, 46% (56/122) in the IUT (± PET) group, 31% (60/193) in the expectant-management group, 31% (57/182) in the laser-surgery group and 25% (7/28) in the selective-feticide group. Median diagnosis-to-birth interval was longest after selective feticide (10.5 (interquartile range (IQR), 4.2-14.9) weeks), followed by laser surgery (9.7 (IQR, 6.6-12.7) weeks), expectant management (7.8 (IQR, 3.8-14.4) weeks), IUT (± PET) (4.0 (IQR, 2.0-6.9) weeks) and delivery (0.3 (IQR, 0.0-0.5) weeks). Treatment choice for TAPS varied greatly within and between the 17 fetal therapy centers. CONCLUSIONS: Antenatal treatment for TAPS differs considerably amongst fetal therapy centers. Perinatal mortality and morbidity were high in all management groups. Prolongation of pregnancy was best achieved by expectant management, treatment by laser surgery or selective feticide. © 2020 The Authors.     The mediating role of self/everyday creativity and depression on the relationship between creative personality traits and problematic social media use among emerging adults

    Personality is one of the important contributory factors in the development of problematic technology use. The purpose of the present study was to investigate the direct and indirect associations of creative personality traits with problematic social media use via self/everyday creativity, depression, and loneliness. A total of 460 Turkish emerging adults aged between 18 and 26 years (61% female) were surveyed. Findings indicated that (i) task-orientedness was indirectly associated with problematic social media use via self/everyday creativity, (ii) self-confidence was directly and indirectly associated with problematic social media use via self/everyday creativity and depression, (iii) risk-taking was indirectly associated with problematic social media use via depression, and (iv) self/everyday creativity and depression were directly associated with problematic social media use. The present study is the first to suggest that creative personality traits (i.e., task-orientedness, self-confidence, and risk-taking) and self/everyday creativity are associated with problematic social media use and that these factors should be taken into account when considering the etiology of problematic social media use

    Adipose Tissue Deficiency and Chronic Inflammation in Diabetic Goto-Kakizaki Rats

    Type 2 diabetes (T2DM) is a heterogeneous group of diseases that is progressive and involves multiple tissues. Goto-Kakizaki (GK) rats are a polygenic model with elevated blood glucose, peripheral insulin resistance, a non-obese phenotype, and exhibit many degenerative changes observed in human T2DM. As part of a systems analysis of disease progression in this animal model, this study characterized the contribution of adipose tissue to pathophysiology of the disease. We sacrificed subgroups of GK rats and appropriate controls at 4, 8, 12, 16 and 20 weeks of age and carried out a gene array analysis of white adipose tissue. We expanded our physiological analysis of the animals that accompanied our initial gene array study on the livers from these animals. The expanded analysis included adipose tissue weights, HbA1c, additional hormonal profiles, lipid profiles, differential blood cell counts, and food consumption. HbA1c progressively increased in the GK animals. Altered corticosterone, leptin, and adiponectin profiles were also documented in GK animals. Gene array analysis identified 412 genes that were differentially expressed in adipose tissue of GKs relative to controls. The GK animals exhibited an age-specific failure to accumulate body fat despite their relatively higher calorie consumption which was well supported by the altered expression of genes involved in adipogenesis and lipogenesis in the white adipose tissue of these animals, including Fasn, Acly, Kklf9, and Stat3. Systemic inflammation was reflected by chronically elevated white blood cell counts. Furthermore, chronic inflammation in adipose tissue was evident from the differential expression of genes involved in inflammatory responses and activation of natural immunity, including two interferon regulated genes, Ifit and Iipg, as well as MHC class II genes. This study demonstrates an age specific failure to accumulate adipose tissue in the GK rat and the presence of chronic inflammation in adipose tissue from these animals
