Vacuum Ultraviolet Assisted Photoreduction of Graphene Oxide Nanosheets

    Get PDF
Films of graphene oxide nanosheets have been prepared by deposition from an aqueous alcohol emulsion onto a Teflon FEP substrate. The behavior of the films exposed to monochromatic vacuum UV radiation at a wavelength of 123.6 nm has been studied. The decrease of water content and the amount of hydroxyl (OH) groups as well as the increases of the concentration of double bonds in the film has been found after irradiation. At the same time the amount of C=O remains constant in the carboxyl and ketone groups. When you are citing the document, use the following link http://essuir.sumdu.edu.ua/handle/123456789/3480

Supercapacitors Based on Composite Polyaniline / Reduced Graphene Oxide with Network Nanocomposite Polymer Electrolyte

    Get PDF
The paper describes investigation on new types of supercapacitors based on composite polyani-line/reduced graphene oxide with network nanocomposite polymer electrolyte. Its prototypes are all solid state. The new network polymer electrolytes based on polyethylene glycol diacrylate and nanoparticle SiO2 was synthesized by reaction of radical polymerization in the environment of liquid organic electrolyte. The work is aimed to obtain a polymer electrolyte that is compatible with the electrode materials of superca-pacitors. For these purposes the method of FTIR spectroscopy, a.c. electrochemical impedance and gal-vanostatic cycling were used. Low Temperature Post Radiation Polymerization of Tetrafluoroethylene in the Presence of the Graphene 3D Material

    Get PDF
It was found that irradiation by γ-rays at the liquid nitrogen temperature of a mixture of C2F4 with the grapheme 3D material obtained by explosive exfoliation of graphite oxide gives a composite in which the concentration of polytetrafluoroethylene is 80 wt %. In the case of C2F4 polymerization under similar conditions in the absence of the carbon material, the PTFE yield is six times lower. The results of certifica-tion of both the parent carbon material and the composite obtained via polymerization are also reported. Carbon Nanomaterial Produced by Microwave Exfoliation of Graphite Oxide

    Get PDF
Carbon-based graphene-like material was obtained through microwave stimulated exfoliation of graph-ite oxide (GO). Properties of this material were investigated by multiple techniques including element analysis, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), mass-spectroscopy, infrared (IR) and Raman spectrosco-py, scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and broadband dielectric spectroscopy. Specific surface area and volume of microwave exfoliated graphite oxide (MEGO) reached 600 m2/g and 6 cm3/g, respectively. It is shown that during such explosive reduction process the sample emits CO2, CO and H2O and, in some cases, SO2 gases. The resulting reduced material exhibits IR spectra similar to that of graphite and a dc-conductivity of 0.12 S/cm. It is also shown that prolonged storage in ambient conditions leads to elevated oxygen content and decrease of specific surface area of the samples. Composite Material for Supercapacitors Formed by Polymerization of Aniline in the Presence of Graphene Oxide Nanosheets

    Get PDF
The composite material was obtained by the polymerization of aniline in the presence of graphene oxide nanosheets (GONS). The resulting composite PANi (72%) - GONS (28%) was investigated by methods such as XPS, TGA, Raman and IR spectroscopy, and so on. It was established that a partial reduction of graphene oxide takes part in course of the polymerization. Specific capacitance of the PANi-GONS electrode in 1M H2SO4, corresponding to its discharge from 0.700 to 0.052 V, was found to be 547 F/g. But, if in the calculation of the capacitance include a shallow part of the discharge curve (below 0.15 V), one can obtain the value of specific capacity greater than 1200 F/g.
