Higher Grading Conformal Affine Toda Teory and (Generalized) Sine-Gordon/Massive Thirring Duality
Some properties of the higher grading integrable generalizations of the
conformal affine Toda systems are studied. The fields associated to the
non-zero grade generators are Dirac spinors. The effective action is written in
terms of the Wess-Zumino-Novikov-Witten (WZNW) action associated to an affine
Lie algebra, and an off-critical theory is obtained as the result of the
spontaneous breakdown of the conformal symmetry. Moreover, the off-critical
theory presents a remarkable equivalence between the Noether and topological
currents of the model. Related to the off-critical model we define a real and
local Lagrangian provided some reality conditions are imposed on the fields of
the model. This real action model is expected to describe the soliton sector of
the original model, and turns out to be the master action from which we uncover
the weak-strong phases described by (generalized) massive Thirring and
sine-Gordon type models, respectively. The case of any (untwisted) affine Lie
algebra furnished with the principal gradation is studied in some detail.

T-duality of axial and vector dyonic integrable models
A general construction of affine Non Abelian (NA) - Toda models in terms of
axial and vector gauged two loop WZNW model is discussed. They represent {\it
integrable perturbations} of the conformal -models (with tachyons
included) describing (charged) black hole type string backgrounds. We study the
{\it off-critical} T-duality between certain families of axial and vector type
of integrable models for the case of affine NA- Toda theories with one global
U(1) symmetry. In particular we find the Lie algebraic condition defining a
subclass of {\it T-selfdual} torsionless NA Toda models and their zero

Super WZNW with Reductions to Supersymmetric and Fermionic Integrable Models
A systematic construction for an action describing a class of supersymmetric
integrable models as well as for pure fermionic theories is discussed in terms
of the gauged WZNW model associated to twisted affine Kac-Moody algebras.
Explicit examples of the super sinh(sine)-Gordon models are discussed
in detail. Pure fermionic theories arises for cosets when a maximal kernel condition is fulfilled. The integrability condition
for such models is discussed and it is shown that the simplest example when
leads to the constrained Bukhvostov-Lipatov, Thirring, scalar massive and
pseudo-scalar massless Gross-Neveu models.Comment: 28 pages, latex, added referenc
Dyonic Integrable Models
A class of non abelian affine Toda models arising from the axial gauged
two-loop WZW model is presented. Their zero curvature representation is
constructed in terms of a graded Kac-Moody algebra. It is shown that the
discrete multivacua structure of the potential together with non abelian nature
of the zero grade subalgebra allows soliton solutions with non trivial electric
and topological charges.
The dressing transformation is employed to explicitly construct one and two
soliton solutions and their bound states in terms of the tau functions. A
discussion of the classical spectra of such solutions and the time delays are

Deconfining Phase Transition as a Matrix Model of Renormalized Polyakov Loops
We discuss how to extract renormalized from bare Polyakov loops in SU(N)
lattice gauge theories at nonzero temperature in four spacetime dimensions.
Single loops in an irreducible representation are multiplicatively renormalized
without mixing, through a renormalization constant which depends upon both
representation and temperature. The values of renormalized loops in the four
lowest representations of SU(3) were measured numerically on small, coarse
lattices. We find that in magnitude, condensates for the sextet and octet loops
are approximately the square of the triplet loop. This agrees with a large
expansion, where factorization implies that the expectation values of loops in
adjoint and higher representations are just powers of fundamental and
anti-fundamental loops. For three colors, numerically the corrections to the
large relations are greatest for the sextet loop, ; these
represent corrections of for N=3. The values of the renormalized
triplet loop can be described by an SU(3) matrix model, with an effective
action dominated by the triplet loop. In several ways, the deconfining phase
transition for N=3 appears to be like that in the matrix model of

W-Gravity
The geometric structure of theories with gauge fields of spins two and higher
should involve a higher spin generalisation of Riemannian geometry. Such
geometries are discussed and the case of -gravity is analysed in
detail. While the gauge group for gravity in dimensions is the
diffeomorphism group of the space-time, the gauge group for a certain
-gravity theory (which is -gravity in the case ) is the group
of symplectic diffeomorphisms of the cotangent bundle of the space-time. Gauge
transformations for -gravity gauge fields are given by requiring the
invariance of a generalised line element. Densities exist and can be
constructed from the line element (generalising )
only if or , so that only for can actions be constructed.
These two cases and the corresponding -gravity actions are considered in
detail. In , the gauge group is effectively only a subgroup of the
symplectic diffeomorphism group. Some of the constraints that arise for
are similar to equations arising in the study of self-dual four-dimensional
geometries and can be analysed using twistor methods, allowing contact to be
made with other formulations of -gravity. While the twistor transform for
self-dual spaces with one Killing vector reduces to a Legendre transform, that
for two Killing vectors gives a generalisation of the Legendre transform.Comment: 49 pages, QMW-92-
Search for direct production of charginos and neutralinos in events with three leptons and missing transverse momentum in √s = 7 TeV pp collisions with the ATLAS detector
A search for the direct production of charginos and neutralinos in final states with three electrons or muons and missing transverse momentum is presented. The analysis is based on 4.7 fb−1 of proton–proton collision data delivered by the Large Hadron Collider and recorded with the ATLAS detector. Observations are consistent with Standard Model expectations in three signal regions that are either depleted or enriched in Z-boson decays. Upper limits at 95% confidence level are set in R-parity conserving phenomenological minimal supersymmetric models and in simplified models, significantly extending previous results

Factors Associated with Revision Surgery after Internal Fixation of Hip Fractures
Background: Femoral neck fractures are associated with high rates of revision surgery after management with internal fixation. Using data from the Fixation using Alternative Implants for the Treatment of Hip fractures (FAITH) trial evaluating methods of internal fixation in patients with femoral neck fractures, we investigated associations between baseline and surgical factors and the need for revision surgery to promote healing, relieve pain, treat infection or improve function over 24 months postsurgery. Additionally, we investigated factors associated with (1) hardware removal and (2) implant exchange from cancellous screws (CS) or sliding hip screw (SHS) to total hip arthroplasty, hemiarthroplasty, or another internal fixation device. Methods: We identified 15 potential factors a priori that may be associated with revision surgery, 7 with hardware removal, and 14 with implant exchange. We used multivariable Cox proportional hazards analyses in our investigation.
