    Pharmacological and surgical experimental animal models of induction of spermatogenesis disorders

    Introduction. Experimental induction of spermatogenesis disorders is possible mainly by physical, pharmacological methods. However, not all methods can cause non-obstructive azoospermia.Objective. To evaluate and compare the effectiveness of induction of spermatogenesis disorders in rat models by applying ligatures to the spermatic cords and administration of cisplatin.Materials & methods. Seventy-three mature male rats (Wistar) were divided into 2 experimental groups and 1 control (n = 9) group: group 1 (n = 27) with ligature on the spermatic cord for 12 h (n = 9), 24 h (n = 9), 36 h (n = 9); group 2 (n = 37) with five-fold intraperitoneal administration of cisplatin at concentrations of 5 mg/kg, 3 mg/kg, 1 mg/kg. On days 0, 7, 14, 28 after the last day of induction of spermatogenesis disorders, epididymal semen analysis, blood test, total serum testosterone, pathomorphological examination of testes tissue, body weight, reproductive system organ weight were performed to assess model performance.Results. Ligation to the spermatic cords did not have a negative effect on the general condition of the animals (p < 0.05), blood test (p < 0.05); there was a decrease in the testicular weight (p < 0.05), the appendage of the testis (p < 0.05), prostate (p < 0.05), the weight of the seminal vesicles did not change (p > 0.05). In group 1, the number of epidermal spermatozoa decreased in all subgroups, statistically significant changes were recorded at 7 (exposure 24 h) and 28 (exposure 12, 36 h) days of research. Histologically, there was no significant inhibition of spermatogenesis, except for a decrease in the area, diameter of the seminal tubules on 7, 28 days after surgery (exposure 24, 36 h). In group 2, the survival of animals was noted only when using cisplatin at a dose of 1 mg/kg five times. Body weight decreased in all rats without recovery, thrombocytopenia recorded after 1 wk, leukocytopenia regressed by 2 wk of the study. A decrease in the weight of all reproductive organs was noted. Sperm concentration decreased at 1 wk and recovered at 28 wk. In the analysis of testicular biopsies: pronounced disorganization of the spermatogenic epithelium, a decrease in the absolute area and diameter of the seminal tubules.Conclusion. Ligation to the spermatic cord does not cause permanent inhibition of spermatogenesis. Cisplatin at a dose of 1 mg/kg causes persistent severe damage to the spermatogenic epithelium

    Aim. To perform the marketing analysis of the domestic pharmaceutical market in the segment of diuretic medicines and study the directions of their positioning. Materials and methods. The research materials are data from the State Register of Medicines of Ukraine and the Electronic Medicines Compendium. To achieve the goal, the methods of logical and meaningful problem formation, desk market research, comparative analysis, content analysis of scientific and practically oriented medical and pharmaceutical publications were used. Results and discussion. The article presents the results of the marketing analysis of the domestic pharmaceutical market of diuretic medicines of group C03 “Diuretics” registered at the pharmaceutical market of Ukraine as of July 1, 2023. It has been determined that the range of diuretic medicines includes 124 trade names analyzed by INN, the number of trade names, by production, dosage form, price range, availability in the assortment of pharmacies. The analysis of the market of the group of medicines studied by producing countries, form of release and conditions of dispensing from pharmacies has been performed, as well as positioning has been carried by the peculiarities of the use of diuretics by such consumer segments as children, women during pregnancy and lactation. The INNs of medicines, which content are not offered by domestic manufacturers, have been identified, and therefore they can be considered promising for updating the product range. Conclusions. The results of the marketing analysis of the diuretic market and development of positioning directions are the basis for the search and development of new effective domestic medicines for the treatment and prevention of renal failure, neurological and cardiac diseases and other diseases in the pharmacotherapy of which diuretics are used.Мета роботи – маркетинговий аналіз вітчизняного фармацевтичного ринку в сегменті сечогінних (діуретичних) препаратів та дослідження напрямів їх позиціонування. Матеріали та методи. Матеріалами дослідження є дані Державного реєстру лікарських засобів (ЛЗ) України та онлайн довідника ЛЗ Компендіум. Для досягнення визначеної мети використано методи логіко-змістовного формування проблеми, кабінетних маркетингових досліджень, порівняльного аналізу, контент-аналізу публікацій у наукових та практично-орієнтованих медичних і фармацевтичних виданнях. Результати та їх обговорення. У статті наведено результати маркетингового аналізу вітчизняного фармацевтичного ринку сечогінних (діуретичних) препаратів групи С03 «Сечогінні препарати», зареєстрованих на фармацевтичному ринку України станом на 01.07.2023 року. З’ясовано, що асортимент сечогінних (діуретичних) препаратів нараховує 124 торгових найменування, які проаналізовано за МНН, кількістю торгівельних найменувань за виробничою ознакою, лікарською формою, діапазоном цін, наявністю в асортименті аптек. Виконано аналіз ринку досліджуваної групи ЛЗ за країнами-виробниками, формою випуску та умовами відпуску з аптечних закладів, а також проведено позиціонування за особливостями застосування діуретиків такими сегментами споживачів, як діти, жінки у період вагітності та лактації. Виявлено МНН, лікарські засоби із вмістом яких не пропонують вітчизняні виробники, і тому їх можна розглядати як перспективні для оновлення товарного асортименту. Висновки. Результати маркетингового аналізу ринку сечогінних препаратів та опрацювання напрямів позиціонування є підґрунтям для пошуку й розробки нових ефективних ЛЗ вітчизняного виробництва для лікування і профілактики ниркової недостатності, неврологічних, кардіологічних та інших захворювань, у фармакотерапії яких застосовують діуретики

    A Dynamic Model of Regional Economic Growth

    The article is devoted to the construction of a dynamic model of economic growth Solow and Solow model taking into account the delay in the commissioning of assets for the Volga Federal District. We study and analyze the theoretical methods of investigation method of constructing such models and the urgency of the topic of research. To build the model were selected macroeconomic indicators such as gross regional product, the value of fixed assets, the labor force employed in the economy, the economically active population, the value of investments in fixed assets, consumption. On the basis of the constructed models were constructed projections of key macroeconomic parameters included in the model for 2013-2015. In order to assess the accuracy of the predicted values obtained by the Solow model, built four equations of various growth curves. It should be noted that these trend lines very well describe the gross regional product of the Volga Federal District. The best model is the polynomial trend line; the coefficient of determination is the maximum. Predicted values are similar between the Solow model and polynomial trend line. It is shown that elasticity of labor much more elasticity in terms of capital to the Volga Federal District, as a result, it is possible to make an unequivocal conclusion about the extensive nature of economic growth.     Charge separation relative to the reaction plane in Pb-Pb collisions at sNN=2.76\sqrt{s_{\rm NN}}= 2.76 TeV

    Measurements of charge dependent azimuthal correlations with the ALICE detector at the LHC are reported for Pb-Pb collisions at sNN=2.76\sqrt{s_{\rm NN}} = 2.76 TeV. Two- and three-particle charge-dependent azimuthal correlations in the pseudo-rapidity range η<0.8|\eta| < 0.8 are presented as a function of the collision centrality, particle separation in pseudo-rapidity, and transverse momentum. A clear signal compatible with a charge-dependent separation relative to the reaction plane is observed, which shows little or no collision energy dependence when compared to measurements at RHIC energies.     Multiplicity dependence of jet-like two-particle correlations in p-Pb collisions at sNN\sqrt{s_{NN}} = 5.02 TeV

    Two-particle angular correlations between unidentified charged trigger and associated particles are measured by the ALICE detector in p-Pb collisions at a nucleon-nucleon centre-of-mass energy of 5.02 TeV. The transverse-momentum range 0.7 <pT,assoc<pT,trig< < p_{\rm{T}, assoc} < p_{\rm{T}, trig} < 5.0 GeV/cc is examined, to include correlations induced by jets originating from low momen\-tum-transfer scatterings (minijets). The correlations expressed as associated yield per trigger particle are obtained in the pseudorapidity range η<0.9|\eta|<0.9. The near-side long-range pseudorapidity correlations observed in high-multiplicity p-Pb collisions are subtracted from both near-side short-range and away-side correlations in order to remove the non-jet-like components. The yields in the jet-like peaks are found to be invariant with event multiplicity with the exception of events with low multiplicity. This invariance is consistent with the particles being produced via the incoherent fragmentation of multiple parton--parton scatterings, while the yield related to the previously observed ridge structures is not jet-related. The number of uncorrelated sources of particle production is found to increase linearly with multiplicity, suggesting no saturation of the number of multi-parton interactions even in the highest multiplicity p-Pb collisions.     A note on comonotonicity and positivity of the control components of decoupled quadratic FBSDE

    In this small note we are concerned with the solution of Forward-Backward Stochastic Differential Equations (FBSDE) with drivers that grow quadratically in the control component (quadratic growth FBSDE or qgFBSDE). The main theorem is a comparison result that allows comparing componentwise the signs of the control processes of two different qgFBSDE.     Multi-particle azimuthal correlations in p-Pb and Pb-Pb collisions at the CERN Large Hadron Collider

    Measurements of multi-particle azimuthal correlations (cumulants) for charged particles in p-Pb and Pb-Pb collisions are presented. They help address the question of whether there is evidence for global, flow-like, azimuthal correlations in the p-Pb system. Comparisons are made to measurements from the larger Pb-Pb system, where such evidence is established. In particular, the second harmonic two-particle cumulants are found to decrease with multiplicity, characteristic of a dominance of few-particle correlations in p-Pb collisions. However, when a Δη|\Delta \eta| gap is placed to suppress such correlations, the two-particle cumulants begin to rise at high-multiplicity, indicating the presence of global azimuthal correlations. The Pb-Pb values are higher than the p-Pb values at similar multiplicities. In both systems, the second harmonic four-particle cumulants exhibit a transition from positive to negative values when the multiplicity increases. The negative values allow for a measurement of v2{4}v_{2}\{4\} to be made, which is found to be higher in Pb-Pb collisions at similar multiplicities. The second harmonic six-particle cumulants are also found to be higher in Pb-Pb collisions. In Pb-Pb collisions, we generally find v2{4}v2{6}0v_{2}\{4\} \simeq v_{2}\{6\}\neq 0 which is indicative of a Bessel-Gaussian function for the v2v_{2} distribution. For very high-multiplicity Pb-Pb collisions, we observe that the four- and six-particle cumulants become consistent with 0. Finally, third harmonic two-particle cumulants in p-Pb and Pb-Pb are measured.     Feasibility studies of time-like proton electromagnetic form factors at PANDA at FAIR

    Simulation results for future measurements of electromagnetic proton form factors at \PANDA (FAIR) within the PandaRoot software framework are reported. The statistical precision with which the proton form factors can be determined is estimated. The signal channel pˉpe+e\bar p p \to e^+ e^- is studied on the basis of two different but consistent procedures. The suppression of the main background channel, i.e.\textit{i.e.} pˉpπ+π\bar p p \to \pi^+ \pi^-, is studied. Furthermore, the background versus signal efficiency, statistical and systematical uncertainties on the extracted proton form factors are evaluated using two different procedures. The results are consistent with those of a previous simulation study using an older, simplified framework. However, a slightly better precision is achieved in the PandaRoot study in a large range of momentum transfer, assuming the nominal beam conditions and detector performance
