Driven by sociolinguistic inspirations, the authors make an attempt to assess the teaching of German logistics language in Poland for professional purposes against a broadly understood logistic education and emphasize the aspect of close correlation of the linguistic training outcome with the labor market demand. The Conclusion of World War I in the Prussian Province of Posen as Witnessed by German Children

Am 27. Dezember 1918 brach der sog. Großpolnische Aufstand 1918/19 aus. Damit ging der Erste Weltkrieg im Landesteil Großpolen (Wielkopolska) mit einem gewissen Zeitverzug zu Ende. Die damals in der Provinz Posen lebenden deutschen Familien mit ihren Kindern waren unmittelbare Zeugen des betreffenden Ereignisses. Auch die unmittelbaren kindlichen Zeitzeugen versuchten oft später, das Erlebte durch unterschiedliche Zeugnisse festzuhalten und es den anderen Zeitgenossen oder Nachkommen zugänglich zu machen oder das damals Geschehene zu veranschaulichen. Die zum damaligen Zeitpunkt minderjährigen Autoren haben ihre Erinnerungen an die polnische Nationalerhebung entweder parallel zu den verlaufenden Vorkommnissen geschrieben oder mit einem kürzeren oder längeren Zeitverzug ihre mit wachem Kinderblick registrierten Wahrnehmungen in Form von Aufzeichnungen, Erinnerungen oder Tagebüchern, sogar eines Geschichtsromans, mit mehr oder weniger erschütterndem Inhalt fixiert.Prvi svjetski rat trajao je više od četiri godine i završio 11. studenoga 1918. godine. Taj datum obilježava početak razdoblja nastajanja novoga političkoga poretka, koji će se konačno uspostaviti tek Versajskim ugovorom sklopljenim 28. lipnja 1919. Usprkos činjenici da je kraj Prvoga svjetskoga rata donio nezavisnost poljskim zemljama, koje su prije toga bile pod ruskom i austro-ugarskom vlašću, pokrajina Poznanj i nadalje ostaje dijelom države Pruske. Njezini su se poljski stanovnici morali sami izboriti za neovisnost. Dana 27. prosinca 1918. godine digli su se na oružje protiv lokalnih pruskih vlasti u Poznanju , čime je započeo Velikopoljski ustanak (1918./1919.). Njemačke obitelji i njihova djeca koji su tamo živjeli postali su neposredni svjedoci navedenih povijesnih događaja. Neka su od te djece pokušala opisati zbivanja iz svoje, dječje perspektive kako bi ih prenijela vršnjacima ili njihovim potomcima, ili pak zato da u riječi pretoče svoja sjećanja. Djeca koja su proživjela poljski nacionalni ustanak bilježila su svoja iskustva već tijekom događaja 1918. i 1919. godine ili su svoje dječje dojmove zapisivali naknadno, tijekom duljih ili kraćih vremenskih razdoblja, u obliku više ili manje dirljivih zabilješki, opisa, sjećanja ili povijesnih romana.World War I had lasted for over four years and came to an end on 11 November 1918. This date marks the beginning of a phase of the formation of a new political landscape, which would only be finally acknowledged by the Treaty of Versailles of 28 June 1919. Despite the fact that the outcome of World War I brought independence to Polish lands, which beforehand were under Russian and Austro-Hungarian rule, the Province of Posen was still part of the Prussian state. Its Polish inhabitants had to fight for independence for themselves. On 27 December 1918 they took up arms against the local Prussian authority in Posen (Poznań) and so the Greater Poland Uprising of 1918/1919 began. Thus, for Greater Poland, World War I ended with a delay in contrast to the rest of Polish lands. German families and their children living in the Province of Posen at that time were rendered natural witnesses to those historic events. For this reason, some German children tried to portray their experiences from their child’s perspective in the form of various literary works in order to pass them to their peers or their descendants or just to textualise their memories. Child authors recounting the Polish national uprising of 1918/1919 had already started their writing during the said events or continued to write down their child’s-eye impressions over shorter or longer periods in the form of various notes, descriptions, memoirs or in a historical novel of a more or less agitating character

„Kto się nie rusza, ten jest fizolem”. O nie-właściwym reżimie pracy ciała i jego wykorzenianiu w klubie brazylijskiego jiu-jitsu

Artykuł podejmuje analizę figury „fizola” – specyficznego pejoratywnego określenia oraz fenomenu fizolenia – pojmowanego jako spektrum zachowań cielesnych, negatywnie postrzeganych przez  osoby z warszawskiego klubu brazylijskiego jiu-jitsu, gdzie w latach 2016-2019 ćwiczyłem i prowadziłem badania terenowe. Omawiam odniesienia do „fizola”, płynące ze strony członków klubu, jak również rozważam praktyki ćwiczących, obserwowane w trakcie treningu a także własne odczucia somatyczne w zakresie, jaki obejmuje zagadnienie fizolenia. Odwołując się do wybranych autorów, takich, jak Michel Foucault, Norbert Elias czy Mary Douglas, wskazuję, że figura fizola służyć może aktywnemu dyscyplinowaniu ćwiczących, stymulowania internalizacji przez nich odpowiednio „cywilizowanej” formy walki sparingowej oraz klasyfikowaniu zarówno osób w klubie, jak też praktyk ciała

Mobile IoT Systems in the Urban Area

An important element of Internet of Things systems (IoT) is wireless data transmission. Narrowband Internet of Things (NB-IoT) and LTE Cat M1 (LTE-M) are the new standards for such transmission intended for LTE cellular networks. Cellular network operators has recently launched such transmission. The article presents the results of measurements of NB-IoT transmission parameters in this network, inside the building and in open urban areas. The main features of the NB-IoT system and measuring equipment are briefly discussed

Remarks on improved inversion attacks on nonlinear filter generators, Journal of Telecommunications and Information Technology, 2003, nr 4

The subject of this paper are inversion attacks on stream ciphers (nonlinear filter generators), which were first introduced by Golic [3] and extended by Golic, Clark and Dawson [4]. These original attacks have computational complexity O(2M), where M is the so-called “memory size” – distance between outer taps to filter function. In [6] we have proposed improved inversion attacks which have computational complexity O(2r -m) , where r denotes the length of the shift register and m denotes the largest gap between cells with taps to filter function or to connection polynomial. In this paper we describe further extension of our previous results obtained by considering shifts of the feedback polynomial which maximize the largest gap between cells with taps to filter function or to connection polynomial. We show that the previously proposed set of design criteria [3, 6] does not prevent the new version of improved inversion attack and we propose an additional criterion based on the relationship between positions of taps to filter function and positions of taps to the multiples of the connection polynomial

Differential cross section measurements for the production of a W boson in association with jets in proton–proton collisions at √s = 7 TeV

Measurements are reported of differential cross sections for the production of a W boson, which decays into a muon and a neutrino, in association with jets, as a function of several variables, including the transverse momenta (pT) and pseudorapidities of the four leading jets, the scalar sum of jet transverse momenta (HT), and the difference in azimuthal angle between the directions of each jet and the muon. The data sample of pp collisions at a centre-of-mass energy of 7 TeV was collected with the CMS detector at the LHC and corresponds to an integrated luminosity of 5.0 fb[superscript −1]. The measured cross sections are compared to predictions from Monte Carlo generators, MadGraph + pythia and sherpa, and to next-to-leading-order calculations from BlackHat + sherpa. The differential cross sections are found to be in agreement with the predictions, apart from the pT distributions of the leading jets at high pT values, the distributions of the HT at high-HT and low jet multiplicity, and the distribution of the difference in azimuthal angle between the leading jet and the muon at low values.United States. Optimasi Portofolio Resiko Menggunakan Model Markowitz MVO Dikaitkan dengan Keterbatasan Manusia dalam Memprediksi Masa Depan dalam Perspektif Al-Qur`an

Risk portfolio on modern finance has become increasingly technical, requiring the use of sophisticated mathematical tools in both research and practice. Since companies cannot insure themselves completely against risk, as human incompetence in predicting the future precisely that written in Al-Quran surah Luqman verse 34, they have to manage it to yield an optimal portfolio. The objective here is to minimize the variance among all portfolios, or alternatively, to maximize expected return among all portfolios that has at least a certain expected return. Furthermore, this study focuses on optimizing risk portfolio so called Markowitz MVO (Mean-Variance Optimization). Some theoretical frameworks for analysis are arithmetic mean, geometric mean, variance, covariance, linear programming, and quadratic programming. Moreover, finding a minimum variance portfolio produces a convex quadratic programming, that is minimizing the objective function ðð¥with constraintsð ð 𥠥 ðandð´ð¥ = ð. The outcome of this research is the solution of optimal risk portofolio in some investments that could be finished smoothly using MATLAB R2007b software together with its graphic analysis

Juxtaposing BTE and ATE – on the role of the European insurance industry in funding civil litigation

One of the ways in which legal services are financed, and indeed shaped, is through private insurance arrangement. Two contrasting types of legal expenses insurance contracts (LEI) seem to dominate in Europe: before the event (BTE) and after the event (ATE) legal expenses insurance. Notwithstanding institutional differences between different legal systems, BTE and ATE insurance arrangements may be instrumental if government policy is geared towards strengthening a market-oriented system of financing access to justice for individuals and business. At the same time, emphasizing the role of a private industry as a keeper of the gates to justice raises issues of accountability and transparency, not readily reconcilable with demands of competition. Moreover, multiple actors (clients, lawyers, courts, insurers) are involved, causing behavioural dynamics which are not easily predicted or influenced. Against this background, this paper looks into BTE and ATE arrangements by analysing the particularities of BTE and ATE arrangements currently available in some European jurisdictions and by painting a picture of their respective markets and legal contexts. This allows for some reflection on the performance of BTE and ATE providers as both financiers and keepers. Two issues emerge from the analysis that are worthy of some further reflection. Firstly, there is the problematic long-term sustainability of some ATE products. Secondly, the challenges faced by policymakers that would like to nudge consumers into voluntarily taking out BTE LEI

Productivity of cooperative in Pelalawan was highly but efficiency still low. Profit and income were highly, even liquidity of cooperative very high, and solvability was good

Search for stop and higgsino production using diphoton Higgs boson decays

Results are presented of a search for a "natural" supersymmetry scenario with gauge mediated symmetry breaking. It is assumed that only the supersymmetric partners of the top-quark (stop) and the Higgs boson (higgsino) are accessible. Events are examined in which there are two photons forming a Higgs boson candidate, and at least two b-quark jets. In 19.7 inverse femtobarns of proton-proton collision data at sqrt(s) = 8 TeV, recorded in the CMS experiment, no evidence of a signal is found and lower limits at the 95% confidence level are set, excluding the stop mass below 360 to 410 GeV, depending on the higgsino mass
