En este proyecto se desarrolló de manera completa identidad corporativa, así como de marca para la empresa con el fin de crear posicionamiento, el cual permita ampliar su cartera de clientes y así lograr el aumento de sus ventas y por consiguiente la rentabilidad de la empresa, mediante la creación de contenido digital estratégico. Para lograr lo antes mencionado se consideraron los siguientes objetivos específicos: Validación de misión, visión y valores de la empresa, diagnosticar el servicio de la empresa, conocer y definir el mercado meta, análisis de la competencia, análisis del sector y capacidades de la empresa (FODA), rediseño de imagen, logo y etiquetas, estrategia de precios, desarrollo de estrategia de comercialización y estrategias de comunicación digital, creación de material audiovisual mediante fotografías y videos. Considerando diferentes metodologías: Indagación en fuentes primarias y secundarias, recopilación de información con el empresario, comparación de AMIBRUSA con otras empresas similares, análisis de la competencia directa, análisis de cartera de clientes, establecer canal de comunicación con cliente. Logrando como resultado más importantes el entregar un manual de identidad, así como sus aplicaciones, etiquetas de los productos, creación de WhatsApp Business y catálogo, cuenta de Facebook, calendario de contenido (1 mes) y carpeta de fotografías para uso continuo y videos.ITESO, A.C

Surrogate indices of insulin resistance using the Matsuda index as reference in adult men—a computational approach

BackgroundOverweight and obesity, high blood pressure, hyperglycemia, hyperlipidemia, and insulin resistance (IR) are strongly associated with non-communicable diseases (NCDs), including type 2 diabetes, cardiovascular disease, stroke, and cancer. Different surrogate indices of IR are derived and validated with the euglycemic–hyperinsulinemic clamp (EHC) test. Thus, using a computational approach to predict IR with Matsuda index as reference, this study aimed to determine the optimal cutoff value and diagnosis accuracy for surrogate indices in non-diabetic young adult men.MethodsA cross-sectional descriptive study was carried out with 93 young men (ages 18–31). Serum levels of glucose and insulin were analyzed in the fasting state and during an oral glucose tolerance test (OGTT). Additionally, clinical, biochemical, hormonal, and anthropometric characteristics and body composition (DEXA) were determined. The computational approach to evaluate the IR diagnostic accuracy and cutoff value using difference parameters was examined, as well as other statistical tools to make the output robust.ResultsThe highest sensitivity and specificity at the optimal cutoff value, respectively, were established for the Homeostasis model assessment of insulin resistance index (HOMA-IR) (0.91; 0.98; 3.40), the Quantitative insulin sensitivity check index (QUICKI) (0.98; 0.96; 0.33), the triglyceride-glucose (TyG)-waist circumference index (TyG-WC) (1.00; 1.00; 427.77), the TyG-body mass index (TyG-BMI) (1.00; 1.00; 132.44), TyG-waist-to-height ratio (TyG-WHtR) (0.98; 1.00; 2.48), waist-to-height ratio (WHtR) (1.00; 1.00; 0.53), waist circumference (WC) (1.00; 1.00; 92.63), body mass index (BMI) (1.00; 1.00; 28.69), total body fat percentage (TFM) (%) (1.00; 1.00; 31.07), android fat (AF) (%) (1.00; 0.98; 40.33), lipid accumulation product (LAP) (0.84; 1.00; 45.49), leptin (0.91; 1.00; 16.08), leptin/adiponectin ratio (LAR) (0.84; 1.00; 1.17), and fasting insulin (0.91; 0.98; 16.01).ConclusionsThe computational approach was used to determine the diagnosis accuracy and the optimal cutoff value for IR to be used in preventive healthcare

Significant benefits of AIP testing and clinical screening in familial isolated and young-onset pituitary tumors

Context Germline mutations in the aryl hydrocarbon receptor-interacting protein (AIP) gene are responsible for a subset of familial isolated pituitary adenoma (FIPA) cases and sporadic pituitary neuroendocrine tumors (PitNETs). Objective To compare prospectively diagnosed AIP mutation-positive (AIPmut) PitNET patients with clinically presenting patients and to compare the clinical characteristics of AIPmut and AIPneg PitNET patients. Design 12-year prospective, observational study. Participants & Setting We studied probands and family members of FIPA kindreds and sporadic patients with disease onset ≤18 years or macroadenomas with onset ≤30 years (n = 1477). This was a collaborative study conducted at referral centers for pituitary diseases. Interventions & Outcome AIP testing and clinical screening for pituitary disease. Comparison of characteristics of prospectively diagnosed (n = 22) vs clinically presenting AIPmut PitNET patients (n = 145), and AIPmut (n = 167) vs AIPneg PitNET patients (n = 1310). Results Prospectively diagnosed AIPmut PitNET patients had smaller lesions with less suprasellar extension or cavernous sinus invasion and required fewer treatments with fewer operations and no radiotherapy compared with clinically presenting cases; there were fewer cases with active disease and hypopituitarism at last follow-up. When comparing AIPmut and AIPneg cases, AIPmut patients were more often males, younger, more often had GH excess, pituitary apoplexy, suprasellar extension, and more patients required multimodal therapy, including radiotherapy. AIPmut patients (n = 136) with GH excess were taller than AIPneg counterparts (n = 650). Conclusions Prospectively diagnosed AIPmut patients show better outcomes than clinically presenting cases, demonstrating the benefits of genetic and clinical screening.
