La propuesta innovadora en el área matemática se escogió LOS BLOQUES DE DIENES, este proceso se va a compartir con los docentes beneficiándolos a ellos y a los alumnos, en la resolución de un problema, utilizando el juego, como un proceso para aceptar desafíos

    Se desarrolló y diligenció una encuesta para egresados del Programa, estudiantes de X semestre, docentes del Programa y cooperadores de instituciones de prácticas académicas. En el 44% de los egresados refieren alguna apatía por la investigación, como disciplina formadora del saber, por falta de motivación y acompañamiento por parte de directivos y docentes; sin embargo, en la formación académica se determinó poca dedicación por parte del 55% de los estudiantes. Como relevante en la formación de pregrado y la ejecución de las diferentes asignaturas que cubren el plan de estudios, el 76% de los egresados y el 66% de los estudiantes de X semestre trabajan mientras estudian, sin embargo, es favorable saber que el 69% de estos egresados y el 72% de los mismos estudiantes, realizan actividades laborales relacionadas en gran parte con temas afines al programa, que influyen positivamente en el nivel académico y económico. En el proceso de generación del conocimiento, se consideró que los procesos de investigación y de aprendizaje para la culminación del plan de estudios deben ir a la par con las asesorías que brinda el programa, según lo expresa el 59% de los egresados y el 62% de los estudiantes de X semestre; fortalecer el acompañamiento de los estudiantes en sus investigaciones genera mayor confiabilidad y credibilidad en sus trabajos, según lo expresa el 44% de los egresados y el 32% de los estudiantes. Se deben crear y promover mecanismos de comunicación que permitan un acercamiento académico docente-estudiante. En cuanto a los docentes, se evidenció la falta de acompañamiento, lo que debe cambiarse a través de las líneas de investigación que producen un efecto sinérgico en el estudiante, además de promover asignaturas más dinámicas y pedagógicas, lo cual es expresado por el 73% de los docentes encuestados. Se visualiza que para el 60% de los docentes se deben generar procesos más prácticos, asesorías personalizadas y mayor enfoque al momento de decidir la influencia contextual de los temas -pertinencia-, acorde a las necesidades

    Evaluation of water dynamics of contour-levee irrigation system in sloped rice fields in Colombia

    Contour-levee irrigation system is commonly used for rice cultivation in Latin American and Caribbean countries, but its water dynamics in commercial farm field settings are yet to be fully determined. This study aimed to investigate the water dynamics of the contour-levee irrigation system by analyzing conventional irrigation practices and by quantifying water balance and additionally to examine potential toposequential effects. Field experiments with different irrigation intervals were conducted on three commercial farms in Ibagué, Colombia for two seasons from 2017 to 2018. Irrigation and runoff water flows were constantly measured during the crop cycle using Parshall flumes with water level sensors. Percolation rate and field water table were measured using percolators and piezometers installed along the toposequence. The results showed that conventional irrigation management was highly flexible depending on soil permeability, rainfall, and agronomic factors, not particularly paying attention to ensure the flooded conditions during flowering period. The water balance resulted in the irrigation accounting for 76% of the total water input, whereas the runoff, ET, and percolation accounted for 40%, 21%, and 31% on overall average with considerable variation among the three farms. Percolation rates and duration with standing water did not show a clear and consistent tendency among the toposequential positions, but the percolation rate was significantly different among the farms corresponding to soil permeability. Consequently, clear toposequential effects on the water dynamics or on grain yield were not observed at the study site.     With the advancement of technology, it has been increasingly successful to improve the construction of prostheses asextensions of a member of the human body. For the functionality of many of them, it is necessary to use acquisition cards and signalprocessing. In the case of trans-radial amputations, the connection area or socket is small, which leads to the problem of how toimplement a card that is capable of acquiring three signals and decreasing the number of electrodes to be connected. To meet theserequirements we proceeded to design a first prototype with the main goal of being a light, small and three-channel measuring system. Acommon ground configuration was used in order to decrease the number of electrodes. In this way, it has great impact and functionalityin the area since it will be possible to continue the rest of the research in the field of control systems applied to myoelectric prostheses.This article describes the process of designing, implementing, testing and analyzing results.Con el avance de la tecnología se ha logrado cada vez más mejorar la construcción de prótesis como extensiones dealgún miembro del cuerpo humano. Para la funcionalidad de muchas de ellas se hace necesario el uso de tarjetas de adquisición yprocesamiento de las señales. En el caso de las amputaciones trans-radiales el área de conexión o socket es de tamaño reducido, lo cualconduce al problema de cómo implementar una tarjeta que sea capaz de adquirir tres señales y que disminuya el número de electrodosa conectar. Para cumplir con estos requisitos se procedió a diseñar e implementar un primer prototipo con la principal meta de que seaun sistema ligero, pequeño y de tres canales de medición. Se utilizó una configuración de tierra común con la finalidad de disminuir lacantidad de electrodos. De esta manera, se tiene gran impacto y funcionalidad en el área, ya que se podrá continuar con el resto de lasinvestigaciones en el campo de los sistemas de control aplicados a prótesis mioeléctricas.     The indigenous constructions of the Municipality of Tuchín, have been made over time in an artisan way, with materials from the area, which possibly do not meet the normative requirements. In this municipality there are winds that cause the fall of the structure, low resistance of its structural elements, homes not suitable for living and high insecurity conditions. This Municipality was chosen like pilot and at the moment it is recognized internationally for its constructions with techniques and ancestral practices, in addition, of its excellent crafts like the “vueltiao” hat; all this contributes to a structural modeling of this house in order to improve the quality of life of its inhabitants, for this it is desired to carry out a structural modeling with a construction system similar to the current one with suitable equipment and of the region , generating homes that comply with the NSR-10 resistant earthquake, technical specifications, bioclimatic considerations, optimization of the materials and the resources used, making it efficient during its useful life so as to guarantee the structural and cultural sustainability of housing.Las Construcciones indígenas del municipio de Tuchín, se han realizado a lo largo del tiempo de manera artesanal, con materiales de la zona, que posiblemente no cumplen con los requerimientos normativos. En este municipio se presentan vientos que ocasionan la caída de la estructura, poca resistencia de sus elementos estructurales, viviendas poco aptas para vivir y altas condiciones de inseguridad. Este Municipio se escogió como piloto ya que actualmente es reconocido a nivel internacional por sus construcciones con técnicas y prácticas ancestrales, además , de sus excelentes artesanías como el sombrero “vueltiao”; todo esto contribuye a realizar una modelación estructural de dicha vivienda para poder mejorar la calidad de vida de sus habitantes, para esto se desea llevar a cabo una modelación de tipo estructural con un sistema de construcción similar al actual con material aptos y propios de la región, generando viviendas que cumplan con la norma sismo resistente NSR-10, especificaciones técnicas, consideraciones bioclimáticas, optimización de los materiales y los recursos empleados, haciéndola eficiente durante su vida útil de modo que se garantice la sostenibilidad estructural y cultural de la vivienda

    Negative Impacts of Human Land Use on Dung Beetle Functional Diversity

    The loss of biodiversity caused by human activity is assumed to alter ecosystem functioning. However our understanding of the magnitude of the effect of these changes on functional diversity and their impact on the dynamics of ecological processes is still limited. We analyzed the functional diversity of copro-necrophagous beetles under different conditions of land use in three Mexican biosphere reserves. In Montes Azules pastures, forest fragments and continuous rainforest were analyzed, in Los Tuxtlas rainforest fragments of different sizes were analyzed and in Barranca de Metztitlán two types of xerophile scrub with different degrees of disturbance from grazing were analyzed. We assigned dung beetle species to functional groups based on food relocation, beetle size, daily activity period and food preferences, and as measures of functional diversity we used estimates based on multivariate methods. In Montes Azules functional richness was lower in the pastures than in continuous rainforest and rainforest fragments, but fragments and continuous forest include functionally redundant species. In small rainforest fragments (<5 ha) in Los Tuxtlas, dung beetle functional richness was lower than in large rainforest fragments (>20 ha). Functional evenness and functional dispersion did not vary among habitat types or fragment size in these reserves. In contrast, in Metztitlán, functional richness and functional dispersion were different among the vegetation types, but differences were not related to the degree of disturbance by grazing. More redundant species were found in submontane than in crassicaule scrub. For the first time, a decrease in the functional diversity in communities of copro-necrophagous beetles resulting from changes in land use is documented, the potential implications for ecosystem functioning are discussed and a series of variables that could improve the evaluation of functional diversity for this biological group is proposed

    Differential cross section measurements for the production of a W boson in association with jets in proton–proton collisions at √s = 7 TeV

    Measurements are reported of differential cross sections for the production of a W boson, which decays into a muon and a neutrino, in association with jets, as a function of several variables, including the transverse momenta (pT) and pseudorapidities of the four leading jets, the scalar sum of jet transverse momenta (HT), and the difference in azimuthal angle between the directions of each jet and the muon. The data sample of pp collisions at a centre-of-mass energy of 7 TeV was collected with the CMS detector at the LHC and corresponds to an integrated luminosity of 5.0 fb[superscript −1]. The measured cross sections are compared to predictions from Monte Carlo generators, MadGraph + pythia and sherpa, and to next-to-leading-order calculations from BlackHat + sherpa. The differential cross sections are found to be in agreement with the predictions, apart from the pT distributions of the leading jets at high pT values, the distributions of the HT at high-HT and low jet multiplicity, and the distribution of the difference in azimuthal angle between the leading jet and the muon at low values.United States.     Risk portfolio on modern finance has become increasingly technical, requiring the use of sophisticated mathematical tools in both research and practice. Since companies cannot insure themselves completely against risk, as human incompetence in predicting the future precisely that written in Al-Quran surah Luqman verse 34, they have to manage it to yield an optimal portfolio. The objective here is to minimize the variance among all portfolios, or alternatively, to maximize expected return among all portfolios that has at least a certain expected return. Furthermore, this study focuses on optimizing risk portfolio so called Markowitz MVO (Mean-Variance Optimization). Some theoretical frameworks for analysis are arithmetic mean, geometric mean, variance, covariance, linear programming, and quadratic programming. Moreover, finding a minimum variance portfolio produces a convex quadratic programming, that is minimizing the objective function ðð¥with constraintsð ð 𥠥 ðandð´ð¥ = ð. The outcome of this research is the solution of optimal risk portofolio in some investments that could be finished smoothly using MATLAB R2007b software together with its graphic analysis
