    Montee et abandon des collines d’occupation de l’age de fer au nord du Burkina Faso

    Au nord du Burkina Faso aucune autre Ă©poque culturelle, Ă  l'exception des temps modernes, n'a laissĂ© autant de traces sur une aussi grande surface que l’Age de Fer. L'Ă©tude de cette pĂ©riode joue alors un rĂŽle important dans la reconstruction de l'histoire culturelle du Sahel. D’aprĂšs les dates obtenues dans nos fouilles diffĂ©rentes, l’Age de Fer s'Ă©tend de la fin du premier millĂ©naire BC jusqu'au milieu du 14e siĂšcle AD. Les recherches du projet multidisciplinaire G4 du SFB 268 visaient les questions suivantes: Quelle est l’apparence physique des collines d’occupation et quelle est leur rĂ©partition dans la rĂ©gion ? En quoi consiste la culture matĂ©rielle trouvĂ©e sur les sites et qu’est-ce qu’elle permet de dire sur la vie quotidienne? Comment l’interaction entre l'homme et l'environnement se prĂ©sentaitelle Ă  l’époque et quelles Ă©taient les ressources naturelles exploitĂ©es? Quelle population occupait les buttes, et quels indices l’étude de l’histoire du peuplement peut fournir comme causes de leur abandon final? Le vaste champs d’études ouvert par ces questions impose une approche multidisciplinaire. Les rĂ©sultats qui seront prĂ©sentĂ©s cidessous n'ont pu ĂȘtre obtenus qu'en coopĂ©ration de l'archĂ©ologie, l'archĂ©obotanique, l'archĂ©ozoologie, l'histoire et la gĂ©ographie

    Search for dark matter produced in association with bottom or top quarks in √s = 13 TeV pp collisions with the ATLAS detector

    A search for weakly interacting massive particle dark matter produced in association with bottom or top quarks is presented. Final states containing third-generation quarks and miss- ing transverse momentum are considered. The analysis uses 36.1 fb−1 of proton–proton collision data recorded by the ATLAS experiment at √s = 13 TeV in 2015 and 2016. No significant excess of events above the estimated backgrounds is observed. The results are in- terpreted in the framework of simplified models of spin-0 dark-matter mediators. For colour- neutral spin-0 mediators produced in association with top quarks and decaying into a pair of dark-matter particles, mediator masses below 50 GeV are excluded assuming a dark-matter candidate mass of 1 GeV and unitary couplings. For scalar and pseudoscalar mediators produced in association with bottom quarks, the search sets limits on the production cross- section of 300 times the predicted rate for mediators with masses between 10 and 50 GeV and assuming a dark-matter mass of 1 GeV and unitary coupling. Constraints on colour- charged scalar simplified models are also presented. Assuming a dark-matter particle mass of 35 GeV, mediator particles with mass below 1.1 TeV are excluded for couplings yielding a dark-matter relic density consistent with measurements
