The Ecofisio Mobile App for Assessment and Diagnosis Using Ultrasound Imaging for Undergraduate Health Science Students: Multicenter Randomized Controlled Trial

and Health (UCEES).Background: Generation Z is starting to reach college age. They have adopted technology from an early age and have a deep
dependence on it; therefore, they have become more drawn to the virtual world. M-learning has experienced huge growth in
recent years, both in the medical context and in medical and health sciences education. Ultrasound imaging is an important
diagnosis technique in physiotherapy, especially in sports pathology. M-learning systems could be useful tools for improving the
comprehension of ultrasound concepts and the acquisition of professional competencies.
Objective: The purpose of this study was to evaluate the efficacy and use of an interactive platform accessible through mobile
devices—Ecofisio—using ultrasound imaging for the development of professional competencies in the evaluation and diagnosis
of sports pathologies.
Methods: Participants included 110 undergraduate students who were placed into one of two groups of a randomized controlled
multicenter study: control group (ie, traditional learning) and experimental group (ie, Ecofisio mobile app). Participants’ theoretical
knowledge was assessed using a multiple-choice questionnaire (MCQ); students were also assessed by means of the Objective
Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE). Moreover, a satisfaction survey was completed by the students.
Results: The statistical analyses revealed that Ecofisio was effective in most of the processes evaluated when compared with
the traditional learning method: all OSCE stations, P<.001; MCQ, 43 versus 15 students passed in the Ecofisio and control groups,
respectively, P<.001. Moreover, the results revealed that the students found the app to be attractive and useful.
Conclusions: The Ecofisio mobile app may be an effective way for physiotherapy students to obtain adequate professional

A Telehealth-Based Cognitive-Adaptive Training (e-OTCAT) to Prevent Cancer and Chemotherapy-Related Cognitive Impairment in Women with Breast Cancer: Protocol for a Randomized Controlled Trial
Background: Many women with breast cancer experience a great number of side effects,
such as cognitive impairment, during and after chemotherapy that reduces their quality of life. Currently,
research focusing on the use of non-pharmacological, and specifically telehealth interventions
to prevent or mitigate them has been insufficient. Methods: This protocol describes a randomized
controlled trial aimed at studying the preventive effects of a videoconferenced cognitive-adaptive
training (e-OTCAT) program (ClinicalTrials.gov NCT04783402). A number of 98 eligible participants
will be randomized to one of the following groups: (a) the experimental group receiving the e-OTCAT
program during 12 consecutive weeks since the beginning of chemotherapy; and (b) the control group
receiving and educational handbook and usual care. The primary outcome will be the cognitive
function. Secondary measures will be psychological distress, fatigue, sleep disturbance, quality of life
and occupational performance. The time-points for these measures will be placed at baseline, after
12 weeks and six months of post-randomization. Conclusion: This trial may support the inclusion of
multidimensional interventions through a telehealth approach in a worldwide growing population
suffering from breast cancer, emphasizing the prevention of cognitive impairment as one of the side

First results of the CAST-RADES haloscope search for axions at 34.67 μeV
We present results of the Relic Axion Dark-Matter Exploratory Setup (RADES), a detector which is part of the CERN Axion Solar Telescope (CAST), searching for axion dark matter in the 34.67μeV mass range. A radio frequency cavity consisting of 5 sub-cavities coupled by inductive irises took physics data inside the CAST dipole magnet for the first time using this filter-like haloscope geometry. An exclusion limit with a 95% credibility level on the axion-photon coupling constant of gaγ & 4 × 10−13 GeV−1 over a mass range of 34.6738μeV < ma < 34.6771μeV is set. This constitutes a significant improvement over the current strongest limit set by CAST at this mass and is at the same time one of the most sensitive direct searches for an axion dark matter candidate above the mass of 25μeV. The results also demonstrate the feasibility of exploring a wider mass range around the value probed by CAST-RADES in this work using similar coherent resonant cavitiesWe wish to thank our colleagues at CERN, in particular Marc Thiebert from the coating lab, as well as the whole team of the CERN Central Cryogenic Laboratory for their support and advice in speci c aspects of the project. Clonal chromosomal mosaicism and loss of chromosome Y in elderly men increase vulnerability for SARS-CoV-2
The pandemic caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2, COVID-19) had an estimated overall case fatality ratio of 1.38% (pre-vaccination), being 53% higher in males and increasing exponentially with age. Among 9578 individuals diagnosed with COVID-19 in the SCOURGE study, we found 133 cases (1.42%) with detectable clonal mosaicism for chromosome alterations (mCA) and 226 males (5.08%) with acquired loss of chromosome Y (LOY). Individuals with clonal mosaic events (mCA and/or LOY) showed a 54% increase in the risk of COVID-19 lethality. LOY is associated with transcriptomic biomarkers of immune dysfunction, pro-coagulation activity and cardiovascular risk. Interferon-induced genes involved in the initial immune response to SARS-CoV-2 are also down-regulated in LOY. Thus, mCA and LOY underlie at least part of the sex-biased severity and mortality of COVID-19 in aging patients. Given its potential therapeutic and prognostic relevance, evaluation of clonal mosaicism should be implemented as biomarker of COVID-19 severity in elderly people. Actas de congresoLas VII Jornadas de Investigación “Encuentro y Reflexión” y I Jornadas de Investigación de becarios y doctorandos. Proyecto, investigación e innovación en Urbanismo, Arquitectura y Diseño Industrial se centraron en cuatro ejes: el proyecto; la dimensión tecnológica y la gestión; la dimensión social y cultural y la enseñanza en Arquitectura, Urbanismo y Diseño Industrial, sustentados en las líneas prioritarias de investigación definidas epistemológicamente en el Consejo Asesor de Ciencia y Tecnología de esta Universidad Nacional de Córdoba.
Con el objetivo de afianzar continuidad, formación y transferencia de métodos, metodología y recursos se incorporó becarios y doctorandos de los Institutos de investigación.
La Comisión Honoraria la integraron las tres Secretarias de Investigación de la Facultad, arquitectas Marta Polo, quien fundó y María del Carmen Franchello y Nora Gutiérrez Crespo quienes continuaron la tradición de la buena práctica del debate en la cotidianeidad de la propia Facultad.

The reference site collaborative network of the european innovation partnership on active and healthy ageing
Seventy four Reference Sites of the European Innovation
Partnership on Active and Healthy Ageing (EIP on AHA)
have been recognised by the European Commission in
2016 for their commitment to excellence in investing and
scaling up innovative solutions for active and healthy
ageing. The Reference Site Collaborative Network
(RSCN) brings together the EIP on AHA Reference Sites
awarded by the European Commission, and Candidate
Reference Sites into a single forum. The overarching goals
are to promote cooperation, share and transfer good
practice and solutions in the development and scaling up
of health and care strategies, policies and service delivery
models, while at the same time supporting the action
groups in their work. The RSCN aspires to be recognized
by the EU Commission as the principal forum and
authority representing all EIP on AHA Reference Sites.
The RSCN will contribute to achieve the goals of the EIP
on AHA by improving health and care outcomes for
citizens across Europe, and the development of sustainable
economic growth and the creation of jobs
VIII Encuentro de Docentes e Investigadores en Historia del Diseño, la Arquitectura y la Ciudad
Acta de congresoLa conmemoración de los cien años de la Reforma Universitaria de 1918 se presentó como una ocasión propicia para debatir el rol de la historia, la teoría y la crítica en la formación y en la práctica profesional de diseñadores, arquitectos y urbanistas.
En ese marco el VIII Encuentro de Docentes e Investigadores en Historia del Diseño, la Arquitectura y la Ciudad constituyó un espacio de intercambio y reflexión cuya realización ha sido posible gracias a la colaboración entre Facultades de Arquitectura, Urbanismo y Diseño de la Universidad Nacional y la Facultad de Arquitectura de la Universidad Católica de Córdoba, contando además con la activa participación de mayoría de las Facultades, Centros e Institutos de Historia de la Arquitectura del país y la región.
Orientado en su convocatoria tanto a docentes como a estudiantes de Arquitectura y Diseño Industrial de todos los niveles de la FAUD-UNC promovió el debate de ideas a partir de experiencias concretas en instancias tales como mesas temáticas de carácter interdisciplinario, que adoptaron la modalidad de presentación de ponencias, entre otras actividades.
En el ámbito de VIII Encuentro, desarrollado en la sede Ciudad Universitaria de Córdoba, se desplegaron numerosas posiciones sobre la enseñanza, la investigación y la formación en historia, teoría y crítica del diseño, la arquitectura y la ciudad; sumándose el aporte realizado a través de sus respectivas conferencias de Ana Clarisa Agüero, Bibiana Cicutti, Fernando Aliata y Alberto Petrina. El conjunto de ponencias que se publican en este Repositorio de la UNC son el resultado de dos intensas jornadas de exposiciones, cuyos contenidos han posibilitado actualizar viejos dilemas y promover nuevos debates.
El evento recibió el apoyo de las autoridades de la FAUD-UNC, en especial de la Secretaría de Investigación y de la Biblioteca de nuestra casa, como así también de la Facultad de Arquitectura de la UCC; va para todos ellos un especial agradecimiento
The Gaia mission
Gaia is a cornerstone mission in the science programme of the EuropeanSpace Agency (ESA). The spacecraft construction was approved in 2006, following a study in which the original interferometric concept was changed to a direct-imaging approach. Both the spacecraft and the payload were built by European industry. The involvement of the scientific community focusses on data processing for which the international Gaia Data Processing and Analysis Consortium (DPAC) was selected in 2007. Gaia was launched on 19 December 2013 and arrived at its operating point, the second Lagrange point of the Sun-Earth-Moon system, a few weeks later. The commissioning of the spacecraft and payload was completed on 19 July 2014. The nominal five-year mission started with four weeks of special, ecliptic-pole scanning and subsequently transferred into full-sky scanning mode. We recall the scientific goals of Gaia and give a description of the as-built spacecraft that is currently (mid-2016) being operated to achieve these goals. We pay special attention to the payload module, the performance of which is closely related to the scientific performance of the mission. We provide a summary of the commissioning activities and findings, followed by a description of the routine operational mode. We summarise scientific performance estimates on the basis of in-orbit operations. Several intermediate Gaia data releases are planned and the data can be retrieved from the Gaia Archive, which is available through the Gaia home page. http://www.cosmos.esa.int/gai

Rostros de la evaluación del aprendizaje en educación superior: reflexiones desde una investigación conjunta. La voz de los docentes
El camino trasegado nos muestra que la educación superior en el país es variopinta. Ella misma constituye una trama diversa y multicolor que se ve reflejada tanto en las prácticas pedagógicas y evaluativas, como en las formas particulares de pensar y apoyar la investigación. Las voces de los docentes así lo denotan. Sus inquietudes, interpretaciones, dislocaciones e intuiciones, son disímiles y consecuentes con los contextos y los momentos históricos de la educación en un país como Colombia, donde algunas políticas ofrecen la posibilidad de creación de nuevos objetos de indagación y proliferación de saber experto. El camino trasegado muestra asimismo, que el trabajo investigativo en red es necesario para constatar las diferencias y el acceso a oportunidades, favorecer el diálogo equilibrado, crítico y colaborativo e integrar los objetos de investigación de los contextos en los cuales estos acontecen, son posibles y se construyen.Universidad de San Buenaventura - Cal
