Finite-gap equations for strings on AdS_3 x S^3 x T^4 with mixed 3-form flux
We study superstrings on AdS_3 x S^3 x T^4 supported by a combination of
Ramond-Ramond and Neveu-Schwarz-Neveu-Schwarz three form fluxes, and construct
a set of finite-gap equations that describe the classical string spectrum.
Using the recently proposed all-loop S-matrix we write down the all-loop Bethe
ansatz equations for the massive sector. In the thermodynamic limit the Bethe
ansatz reproduces the finite-gap equations. As part of this derivation we
propose expressions for the leading order dressing phases. These phases differ
from the well-known Arutyunov-Frolov-Staudacher phase that appears in the pure
Ramond-Ramond case. We also consider the one-loop quantization of the algebraic
curve and determine the one-loop corrections to the dressing phases. Finally we
consider some classical string solutions including finite size giant magnons
and circular strings.Comment: 44 pages, 3 figures. v2: references and a discussion about

Giant magnons of string theory in the lambda background
The analogues of giant magnon configurations are studied on the string world
sheet in the lambda background. This is a discrete deformation of the
AdS(5)xS(5) background that preserves the integrability of the world sheet
theory. Giant magnon solutions are generated using the dressing method and
their dispersion relation is found. This reduces to the usual dyonic giant
magnon dispersion relation in the appropriate limit and becomes relativistic in
another limit where the lambda model becomes the generalized sine-Gordon theory
of the Pohlmeyer reduction. The scattering of giant magnons is then shown in
the semi-classical limit to be described by the quantum S-matrix that is a
quantum group deformation of the conventional giant magnon S-matrix. It is
further shown that in the small g limit, a sector of the S-matrix is related to
the XXZ spin chain whose spectrum matches the spectrum of magnon bound states.Comment: 53 pages, 6 figures, final version to appear in JHE
The complete AdS3 ĂS3 Ă T4 worldsheet S matrix
We derive the non-perturbative worldsheet S matrix for fundamental excitations of Type IIB superstring theory on AdS3 ĂS3 Ă T4 with Ramond-Ramond flux. To this end, we study the off-shell symmetry algebra of the theory and its representations. We use these to determine the S matrix up to scalar factors and we derive the crossing equations that these scalar factors satisfy. Our treatment automatically includes fundamental massless excitations, removing a long-standing obstacle in using integrability to study the AdS3/CFT2 correspondence
Study of decays to the final state and evidence for the decay

Performance of the CMS Cathode Strip Chambers with Cosmic Rays
The Cathode Strip Chambers (CSCs) constitute the primary muon tracking device
in the CMS endcaps. Their performance has been evaluated using data taken
during a cosmic ray run in fall 2008. Measured noise levels are low, with the
number of noisy channels well below 1%. Coordinate resolution was measured for
all types of chambers, and fall in the range 47 microns to 243 microns. The
efficiencies for local charged track triggers, for hit and for segments
reconstruction were measured, and are above 99%. The timing resolution per
layer is approximately 5 ns
Honey health benefits and uses in medicine
The generation of reactive oxygen species (ROS) and other free radicals during
metabolism is an essential and normal process that ideally is compensated through
the antioxidant system. However, due to many environmental, lifestyle, and pathological
situations, free radicals and oxidants can be produced in excess, resulting in
oxidative damage of biomolecules (e.g., lipids, proteins, and DNA). This plays a
major role in the development of chronic and degenerative illness such as cancer,
autoimmune disorders, aging, cataract, rheumatoid arthritis, cardiovascular, and
neurodegenerative diseases (Pham-Huy et al. 2008; Willcox et al. 2004). The human
body has several mechanisms to counteract oxidative stress by producing antioxidants, which are either naturally synthetized in situ, or externally supplied
through foods, and/or supplements (Pham-Huy et al. 2008).info:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersio
The planetary system around HD 190622 (TOI-1054): Measuring the gas content of low-mass planets orbiting F-stars
Context. Giant planets are known to dominate the long-term stability of planetary systems due to their prevailing gravitational interactions, but they are also thought to play an important role in planet formation. Observational constraints improve our understanding of planetary formation processes such as the delivery of volatile-rich planetesimals from beyond the ice line into the inner planetary system. Additional constraints may come from studies of the atmosphere, but almost all such studies of the atmosphere investigate the detection of certain species, and abundances are not routinely quantitatively measured. Aims. Accurate measurements of planetary bulk parameters-that is, mass and density-provide constraints on the inner structure and chemical composition of transiting planets. This information provides insight into properties such as the amounts of volatile species, which in turn can be related to formation and evolution processes. Methods. The Transiting Exoplanet Survey Satellite (TESS) reported a planetary candidate around HD 190622 (TOI-1054), which was subsequently validated and found to merit further characterization with photometric and spectroscopic facilities. The KESPRINT collaboration used data from the High Accuracy Radial Velocity Planet Searcher (HARPS) to independently confirm the planetary candidate, securing its mass, and revealing the presence of an outer giant planet in the system. The CHEOPS consortium invested telescope time in the transiting target in order to reduce the uncertainty on the radius, improving the characterization of the planet. Results. We present the discovery and characterization of the planetary system around HD 190622 (TOI-1054). This system hosts one transiting planet, which is smaller than Neptune (3.087-0.053+0.058REarth, 7.7 ± 1.0 MEarth) but has a similar bulk density (1.43 ± 0.21 g cm-3) and an orbital period of 16 days; and a giant planet, not known to be transiting, with a minimum mass of 227.0 ± 6.7 MEarth in an orbit with a period of 315 days. Conclusions. Our measurements constrain the structure and composition of the transiting planet. HD 190622b has singular properties among the known population of transiting planets, which we discuss in detail. Among the sub-Neptune-sized planets known today, this planet stands out because of its large gas content
Updated measurements of exclusive J/Ï and Ï(2S) production cross-sections in pp collisions at âs = 7 TeV
The differential cross-section as a function of rapidity has been measured for the exclusive production of J/Ï and Ï(2S) mesons in protonâproton collisions at âs = 7 TeV, using data collected by the LHCb experiment, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 930 pbâ1. The cross-sections times branching fractions to two muons having pseudorapidities between 2.0 and 4.5 are measured to be where the first uncertainty is statistical and the second is systematic. The measurements agree with next-to-leading order QCD predictions as well as with models that include saturation effects
