A esp\ue9cie florestal Myracrodruon urundeuva Fr. All. \ue9
reconhecida cientificamente pelo conjunto de caracter\uedsticas
ecol\uf3gicas e utilit\ue1rias que a caracterizam como esp\ue9cie
\u201cnobre\u201d da flora brasileira. Embora a esp\ue9cie figure
Diversos
estudos s\ue3o conduzidos no intuito de descrever e compreender
florestas tropicais monodominadas, no entanto, ainda s\ue3o poucas as
informa\ue7\uf5es que esclarecem a estrutura de fragmentos
florestais monodominados por Myracrodruon urundeuva. Neste contexto, o
A an\ue1lise
de diversidade dos fragmentos monodominados estudados apresentou
\uedndice de Shannon-Weaver igual a 0,25. Myracrodruon urundeuva
invent\ue1rio. Al\ue9m da esp\ue9cie Myracrodruon urundeuva, o
estudo de flor\uedstica apresentou somente outras 10 esp\ue9cies
florestais representadas por 7 fam\uedlias bot\ue2nicas. As
estimativas de biomassa alcan\ue7aram valores m\ue9dios de 81
m3.ha-1 de volume de madeira, 62,8 Mg B.ha-1, 35,2 Mg C.ha-1 e 129,1 Mg
CO2.ha-1.
regenera\ue7\ue3o. A aroeira encontra-se em monodomin\ue2ncia na
regi\ue3o do m\ue9dio Rio Doce e se faz necess\ue1ria a
realiza\ue7\ue3o de estudos visando ao manejo sustent\ue1vel
destas florestas.Myracrodruon urundeuva Fr.All. forest species is scientifically
recognized by the set of ecological and utilitarian features that
characterize it as a \u201cnoble\u201d species of the Brazilian
flora. Although the species has appeared since 1992, until the present
dayit has been in the list of species of the endangered Brazilian
flora, the same behavior manifests monodominant behavior in some
regions of Minas Gerais state, especially in the central Rio Doce area.
Many studies have been conducted in order to describe and understand
monodominated tropical forests. However, there is not so much
information that clarifies the structure of forest fragments
mono-dominated by Myracrodruon urundeuva. In this context, this study
aimed to: a) characterize parameters through floristic,
phytosociological and parametric to the monodominance of Myracrodruon
urundeuvain in the city of Tumiritinga, MG; b) estimate the biomass and
carbon stocks accumulated in these environments; c) characterize the
stage of regeneration of forest fragments monodominated by aroeira in
Tumiritinga, in MG state based on the resolution 392 from CONAMA; d)
evaluate the correlation between canopy cover and stage of regeneration
in fragmentes mono-dominated by aroeira. We randomly sampled 16 plots
of 400 m\ub2 around the city of Tumiritinga, representing
6.400m\ub2 of \u201cAroeirais\u201d that were sampled. The
diversity analysis of the mono-dominated fragments that were studied
showed Shannon-Weaver index equal to 0.25. Myracrodruon urundeuva
represented 96% of the 678 sampled individuals, 96% of total basal area
measured and 96% of the total volume stored in the inventory plots. In
addition to the species Myracrodruon urundeuva, the floristic study
showed only 10 other forest species representing even plant families.
The estimates of aroeira biomass reached the average value of 81
m3.ha-1 of wood volume, 62.8 MgB.Ha-1, 35.2 MgC.ha-1 and 129.1
MgCO2.ha-1. The fragments mono-dominated by aroeira in Tumiritinga were
characterized according to CONAMA 392 and the coverage analysis canopy
as in the intermediate stage of regeneration. The aroeirais are
monodominant in the region of the central Rio Doce area and it is
necessary to carry out studies aiming to carry out the sustainable
management of these fragments

ARBUSCULAR AND ECTOMYCORRIZAL FUNGI IN EUCALYPT CULTIVATION AND GRASSLAND SANDY SOIL
O Eucalyptus grandis W. Hill ex Maiden forma associa\ue7\uf5es
simbi\uf3ticas com fungos micorr\uedzicos arbusculares e
ectomicorr\uedzicos. O objetivo do trabalho foi avaliar a
popula\ue7\ue3o (direta e indireta) e a diversidade desses
arbusculares. Corpos de frutifica\ue7\ue3o de ectomicorrizas foram
coletados nas tr\ue9s \ue1reas. Os resultados mostram que a
identifica\ue7\ue3o indireta (cultura armadilha) com Brachiaria
brizantha (A. Rich.) Stapf foi eficiente na recupera\ue7\ue3o do
in\uf3culo de fungos micorr\uedzicos arbusculares no solo.
Gigaspora, Acaulospora e Scutellospora.
& Schewein; Scleroderma sp. (Persoon) Fries e Pisolithus
microcarpus (Cooke & Massee) Cumm. O fungo ectomicorr\uedzico que
apresentou a maior abund\ue2ncia relativa foi o Scleroderma sp. A
\ue1rea de campo nativo apresentou maior popula\ue7\ue3o e
diversidade de fungos micorrizicos arbusculares do que as \ue1reas de
eucalipto. The Eucalyptus grandis W. Hill ex Maiden forms symbiotic association
with arbuscular and ectomycorrhizal fungi. The porpoise of this work
was to evaluate the direct and the indirect population and the
diversity of these organisms in this kind forest of in some sandy areas
located in the S\ue3o Francisco de Assis - RS. Soil and roots samples
were collected from native field and Eucaliptus cultivation to identify
arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi. Sporocarps of ectomycorrhizal fungi were
also collected from these areas. The studied areas were characterized
as native field and eucalyptus forest with three and eight years old.
Results show that the indirect identification (trapping culture) with
Brachiaria brizantha (A. Rich.) Stapf is efficient in the recovery
endomycorrhizal inoculum fungi from the soil. The Glomus, Gigaspora,
Acaulospora and Scutellospora were the most important genus found. The
Acaulospora scrobiculata and Scutellospora heterogama were the
predominant species. The ectomycorrhizal fungi found were Pisolithus
sp. Alb. & Schewein; Scleroderma sp. (Persoon) Fries and Pisolithus
microcarpus (Cooke & Massee) Cumm. The relative abundance was
predominant with Scleroderma sp. The native field showed higher
arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi population and diversity in relation to
other eucaliptus areas
Evidence for the strangeness-changing weak decay
Using a collision data sample corresponding to an integrated luminosity
of 3.0~fb, collected by the LHCb detector, we present the first search
for the strangeness-changing weak decay . No
hadron decay of this type has been seen before. A signal for this decay,
corresponding to a significance of 3.2 standard deviations, is reported. The
relative rate is measured to be
, where and
are the and fragmentation
fractions, and is the branching
fraction. Assuming is bounded between 0.1 and
0.3, the branching fraction would lie
in the range from to .Comment: 7 pages, 2 figures, All figures and tables, along with any

Study of the production of and hadrons in collisions and first measurement of the branching fraction
The product of the () differential production
cross-section and the branching fraction of the decay () is
measured as a function of the beauty hadron transverse momentum, ,
and rapidity, . The kinematic region of the measurements is and . The measurements use a data sample
corresponding to an integrated luminosity of collected by the
LHCb detector in collisions at centre-of-mass energies in 2011 and in 2012. Based on previous LHCb
results of the fragmentation fraction ratio, , the
branching fraction of the decay is
measured to be \begin{equation*} \mathcal{B}(\Lambda_b^0\rightarrow J/\psi
pK^-)= (3.17\pm0.04\pm0.07\pm0.34^{+0.45}_{-0.28})\times10^{-4},
\end{equation*} where the first uncertainty is statistical, the second is
systematic, the third is due to the uncertainty on the branching fraction of
the decay , and the
fourth is due to the knowledge of . The sum of the
asymmetries in the production and decay between and
is also measured as a function of and .
The previously published branching fraction of , relative to that of , is updated.
The branching fractions of are determined.Comment: 29 pages, 19figures. All figures and tables, along with any

Measurements of long-range near-side angular correlations in TeV proton-lead collisions in the forward region
Two-particle angular correlations are studied in proton-lead collisions at a
nucleon-nucleon centre-of-mass energy of TeV, collected
with the LHCb detector at the LHC. The analysis is based on data recorded in
two beam configurations, in which either the direction of the proton or that of
the lead ion is analysed. The correlations are measured in the laboratory
system as a function of relative pseudorapidity, , and relative
azimuthal angle, , for events in different classes of event
activity and for different bins of particle transverse momentum. In
high-activity events a long-range correlation on the near side, , is observed in the pseudorapidity range . This
measurement of long-range correlations on the near side in proton-lead
collisions extends previous observations into the forward region up to
. The correlation increases with growing event activity and is found
to be more pronounced in the direction of the lead beam. However, the
correlation in the direction of the lead and proton beams are found to be
compatible when comparing events with similar absolute activity in the
direction analysed.Comment: All figures and tables, along with any supplementary material and

Search for the rare decays and
A search for the rare decay of a or meson into the final
state is performed, using data collected by the LHCb experiment
in collisions at and TeV, corresponding to an integrated
luminosity of 3 fb. The observed number of signal candidates is
consistent with a background-only hypothesis. Branching fraction values larger
than for the decay mode are
excluded at 90% confidence level. For the decay
mode, branching fraction values larger than are excluded at
90% confidence level, this is the first branching fraction limit for this
decay.Comment: All figures and tables, along with any supplementary material and

Compressed representation of a partially defined integer function over multiple arguments
In OLAP (OnLine Analitical Processing) data are analysed in an n-dimensional cube. The cube may be represented as a partially defined function over n arguments. Considering that often the function is not defined everywhere, we ask: is there a known way of representing the function or the points in which it is defined, in a more compact manner than the trivial one
