Position Paper: Improving Source Code Reuse through Documentation Standardization

In the context of Software Reuse providing techniques to support source code retrieval has been widely experimented. However, much effort is required in order to find how to match classical Information Retrieval and source code characteristics and implicit information. Introducing linguistic theories in the software development process, in terms of documentation standardization may produce significant benefits when applying Information Retrieval techniques. The internet’s evolution toward a scenario of greater potential, with users increasingly involved in its development and management, demands a lower level of semantic ambiguity in the documents that are provided. The proposed semantic web, a concept that appeared almost a decade ago, has had only modest impact. On the other hand, web 2.0, an autonomous evolution of the web toward a collaborative environment, has met with enormous success. The solution devised by web 2.0 has exceeded the limitations of natural language processing tools and statistical approaches. For that reason, it seems logical to analyze the potential contributions that web 2.0 concepts could make to further the development of the semantic web. Some ways of making the leap from a social web to a social semantic web are discussed

Factors Affecting the Reliability of Information: The Case of ChatGPT

The abundance of current information makes it necessary to select the highest quality documents. For this purpose, it is necessary to deepen the knowledge of information quality systems. The different dimensions of quality are analyzed, and different problems related to these dimensions are discussed. The paper groups these issues into different facets: primary information, its manipulation and interpretation, and the publication and dissemination of information. The impact of these interdependent facets on the production of untruthful information is discussed. Finally, ChatGPT is analyzed as a use case. It is shown how these problems and facets have an impact on the quality of the system and the mentions made by experts are analyzed. Different challenges that artificial intelligence systems face are concluded.2023-2

Jobs on the Web for Brazilian professionals on information and-documentation: analysis of competencies and skills required by companies and institutions

Analisam-se as características de ofertas de emprego do setor da Informação-Documentação. A mostra foi obtida de anúncios na Internet, feitos por empresas e instituições privadas brasileiras, durante o ano de 2010. A atividade foi realizada no âmbito de pesquisa maior, que tem como objetivo geral construir uma taxonomia que classifique e hierarquize as competências e conhecimentos exigidos pelas empresas, bem como as características dos postos oferecidos. Extraiu-se a informação de 200 ofertas de emprego obtidas nos portais Catho e Portal do bibliotecário. Cada entrada foi mantida em seu contexto de incidência e com a expressão original. Os termos obtidos passaram por um processo de normalização. A análise busca classificar e valorar as atividades, conhecimentos e tarefas mais solicitados, bem como as aptidões, competências e habilidades, além das incidências das unidades e dos profissionais de informação.Analyzes the work context of the sector of Information-Documentation from a sample was obtained from advertisements of Brazilian companies and private institutions in the Internet during the year 2010. The activity was conducted in a larger research which has as its main objective the construction of a taxonomy to classify and hierarchy the competences and knowledge demanded by the companies, as well as the characteristics of the offered positions. Information was extracted from 200 job offerings obtained in the portals Catho < http://www.catho.com.br/> and Portal do bibliotecario < http://www.portalbibliotecario.com.br/>. Each entry was maintained in its incidence context and with its original expression. The terms passed by a standardization process. The analysis answers to the following classifications: field and company description, invasion of the profession, education level, kind of contract, experience requirements, salary, and geographic dispersion

Production of He-4 and (4) in Pb-Pb collisions at root(NN)-N-S=2.76 TeV at the LHC

Results on the production of He-4 and (4) nuclei in Pb-Pb collisions at root(NN)-N-S = 2.76 TeV in the rapidity range vertical bar y vertical bar <1, using the ALICE detector, are presented in this paper. The rapidity densities corresponding to 0-10% central events are found to be dN/dy4(He) = (0.8 +/- 0.4 (stat) +/- 0.3 (syst)) x 10(-6) and dN/dy4 = (1.1 +/- 0.4 (stat) +/- 0.2 (syst)) x 10(-6), respectively. This is in agreement with the statistical thermal model expectation assuming the same chemical freeze-out temperature (T-chem = 156 MeV) as for light hadrons. The measured ratio of (4)/He-4 is 1.4 +/- 0.8 (stat) +/- 0.5 (syst). (C) 2018 Published by Elsevier B.V.Peer reviewe
