    Costos de servicios y su incidencia en la rentabilidad de la empresa Master SIG Consultores E.I.R.L. San Borja 2018

    La presente investigación titulada Costos de Servicios y su Incidencia en la Rentabilidad de la Empresa Master SIG Consultores E.I.R.L. San Borja 2018, se elaboró con el objetivo de determinar de qué manera los Costos de Servicios inciden en la rentabilidad de la Empresa Master SIG Consultores E.I.R.L. San Borja 2018. Nuestra investigación fue de tipo aplicada, de nivel Descriptivo Correlacional, de diseño no experimental, con el enfoque cuantitativo, se contempló la recolección de datos mediante la técnica de un cuestionario, utilizando la encuesta y está conformado por 21 preguntas, validado por expertos; que fueron respondidos por contadores, administradores, por la gerencia de administración y finanzas, la gerencia de Costos y empleados del área de contabilidad, las cuales aportaron sus puntos de vistas de la problemática, no cuentan con un adecuado manejo de dichos costos y esto afecta en la rentabilidad de la empresa, posteriormente se recopilo los datos mediante SPSS Vs25, para ser encaminadas a gráficos estadísticos con sus correspondientes explicaciones, por ende, las hipótesis formuladas fueron demostradas después se concluye que, los Costos de Servicios inciden en la rentabilidad de la Empresa Master SIG Consultores E.I.R.L., ya que el valor (sig.) fue 0.030, el cual es menor a 0.05, por lo tanto, se acepta la hipótesis alterna.This research entitled Service Costs and their Incidence on the Profitability of the Master SIG Consultores E.I.R.L. San Borja 2018, was prepared with the objective of determining how the Costs of Services affect the profitability of the Master SIG Consultores E.I.R.L. San Borja 2018. Our research was of an applied type, of a Descriptive Correlational level, of nonexperimental design, with a quantitative approach, the data collection was contemplated through the technique of a questionnaire, using the survey and it is made up of 21 questions, validated by experts; that were answered by accountants, administrators, by the administration and finance management, the cost management and employees of the accounting area, who contributed their points of view of the problem, they do not have an adequate management of said costs and this affects in the profitability of thecompany, later the data was collected through SPSS Vs25, to be directed to statistical graphics with their corresponding explanations, therefore, the hypotheses formulated were demonstrated after it is concluded that, the Costs of Services affect the profitability of the Company Master SIG Consultores EIRL, since the value (sig.) Was 0.030, which is less than 0.05, therefore, the alternative hypothesis is accepted

    The role of heart rate on the associations between body composition and heart rate variability in children with overweight/obesity : the ActiveBrains project

    Background: Heart rate variability (HRV) is negatively associated with body mass index and adiposity in several populations. However, less information is available about this association in children with overweight and obesity, especially severe/morbid obesity, taking into consideration the dependence of HRV on heart rate (HR). Objectives: (1) to examine associations between body composition measures and HRV, (2) to study differences in HRV between children with overweight and severe/morbid obesity; and (3) to test whether relationships and differences tested in objectives 1 and 2, respectively are explained by the dependency of HRV on HR. Methods: A total of 107 children with overweight/obesity (58% boys, 10.03 +/- 1.13 years) participated in this study. Body composition measures were evaluated by Dual-energy X-ray absorptiometry (DXA). HRV parameters were measured with Polar RS800CXR (R). Results: Body composition measures were negatively associated with HRV indicators of parasympathetic activity (beta values ranging from -0.207 to -0.307, all p 0.05). Conclusion: All associations between adiposity/obesity and HRV could be explained by HR, suggesting a key confounding role of HR in HRV studies in children with weight disturbances

    Microfluidic-based dynamic BH3 profiling predicts anticancer treatment efficacy

Among these new technologies, dynamic BH3 profiling (DBP) has emerged and extensively been used to predict treatment efficacy in different types of cancer. DBP uses synthetic BH3 peptides to measure early apoptotic events (‘priming’) and anticipate therapy-induced cell death leading to tumor elimination. This predictive functional assay presents multiple advantages but a critical limitation: the cell number requirement, that limits drug screening on patient samples, especially in solid tumors. To solve this problem, we developed an innovative microfluidic-based DBP (µDBP) device that overcomes tissue limitations on primary samples. We used microfluidic chips to generate a gradient of BIM BH3 peptide, compared it with the standard flow cytometry based DBP, and tested different anticancer treatments. We first examined this new technology’s predictive capacity using gastrointestinal stromal tumor (GIST) cell lines, by comparing imatinib sensitive and resistant cells, and we could detect differences in apoptotic priming and anticipate cytotoxicity. We then validated µDBP on a refractory GIST patient sample and identified that the combination of dactolisib and venetoclax increased apoptotic priming. In summary, this new technology could represent an important advance for precision medicine by providing a fast, easy-to-use and scalable microfluidic device to perform DBP in situ as a routine assay to identify the best treatment for cancer patients.Ramon y Cajal Programme, Ministerio de Economia y Competitividad grant RYC-2015–18357.     Method based on data mining techniques for breast cancer recurrence analysis

    Cancer is a constantly evolving disease, which affects a large number of people worldwide. Great efforts have been made at the research level for the development of tools based on data mining techniques that allow to detect or prevent breast cancer. The large volumes of data play a fundamental role according to the literature consulted, a great variety of dataset oriented to the analysis of the disease has been generated, in this research the Breast Cancer dataset was used, the purpose of the proposed research is to submit comparison of the J48 and randomforest, NaiveBayes and NaiveBayes Simple, SMO Poli-kernel and SMO RBF-Kernel classification algorithms, integrated with the Simple K-Means cluster algorithm for the generation of a model that allows the successful classification of patients who are or Non-recurring breast cancer after having previously undergone surgery for the treatment of said disease, finally the methods that obtained the best levels were SMO Poly-Kernel + Simple K-Means 98.5% of Precision, 98.5% recall, 98.5% TPRATE and 0.2% FPRATE. The results obtained suggest the possibility of using intelligent computational tools based on data mining methods for the detection of breast cancer recurrence in patients who had previously undergone surgery

    Robust multi-view approaches for retinal layer segmentation in glaucoma patients via transfer learning

    Background: Glaucoma is the leading global cause of irreversible blindness. Glaucoma patients experience a progressive deterioration of the retinal nervous tissues that begins with a loss of peripheral vision. An early diagnosis is essential in order to prevent blindness. Ophthalmologists measure the deterioration caused by this disease by assessing the retinal layers in different regions of the eye, using different optical coherence tomography (OCT) scanning patterns to extract images, generating different views from multiple parts of the retina. These images are used to measure the thickness of the retinal layers in different regions. Methods: We present two approaches for the multi-region segmentation of the retinal layers in OCT images of glaucoma patients. These approaches can extract the relevant anatomical structures for glaucoma assessment from three different OCT scan patterns: circumpapillary circle scans, macular cube scans and optic disc (OD) radial scans. By employing transfer learning to take advantage of the visual patterns present in a related domain, these approaches use state-of-the-art segmentation modules to achieve a robust, fully automatic segmentation of the retinal layers. The first approach exploits inter-view similarities by using a single module to segment all of the scan patterns, considering them as a single domain. The second approach uses view-specific modules for the segmentation of each scan pattern, automatically detecting the suitable module to analyse each image. Results: The proposed approaches produced satisfactory results with the first approach achieving a dice coefficient of 0.85±0.06 and the second one 0.87±0.08 for all segmented layers. The first approach produced the best results for the radial scans. Concurrently, the view-specific second approach achieved the best results for the better represented circle and cube scan patterns. Conclusions: To the extent of our knowledge, this is the first proposal in the literature for the multi-view segmentation of the retinal layers of glaucoma patients, demonstrating the applicability of machine learningbased systems for aiding in the diagnosis of this relevant pathology

    Signal integration and transcriptional regulation of the inflammatory response mediated by the GM-/MCSF signaling axis in human monocytes

    In recent years, the macrophage colony-stimulating factor (M-CSF) and granulocyte-macrophage CSF (GM-CSF) cytokines have been identified as opposing regulators of the inflammatory program. However, the two cytokines are simultaneously present in the inflammatory milieu, and it is not clear how cells integrate these signals. In order to understand the regulatory networks associated with the GM/M-CSF signaling axis, we analyzed DNA methylation in human monocytes. Our results indicate that GM-CSF induces activation of the inflammatory program and extensive DNA methylation changes, while M-CSF-polarized cells are in a less differentiated state. This inflammatory program is mediated via JAK2 associated with the GM-CSF receptor and the downstream extracellular signal-regulated (ERK) signaling. However, PI3K signaling is associated with a negative regulatory loop of the inflammatory program and M-CSF autocrine signaling in GM-CSF-polarized monocytes.     COVID Isolation Eating Scale (CIES): Analysis of the impact of confinement in eating disorders and obesity-A collaborative international study

    Confinement during the COVID-19 pandemic is expected to have a serious and complex impact on the mental health of patients with an eating disorder (ED) and of patients with obesity. The present manuscript has the following aims: (1) to analyse the psychometric properties of the COVID Isolation Eating Scale (CIES), (2) to explore changes that occurred due to confinement in eating symptomatology; and (3) to explore the general acceptation of the use of telemedicine during confinement. The sample comprised 121 participants (87 ED patients and 34 patients with obesity) recruited from six different centres. Confirmatory Factor Analyses (CFA) tested the rational-theoretical structure of the CIES. Adequate goodness-of-fit was obtained for the confirmatory factor analysis, and Cronbach alpha values ranged from good to excellent. Regarding the effects of confinement, positive and negative impacts of the confinement depends of the eating disorder subtype. Patients with anorexia nervosa (AN) and with obesity endorsed a positive response to treatment during confinement, no significant changes were found in bulimia nervosa (BN) patients, whereas Other Specified Feeding or Eating Disorder (OSFED) patients endorsed an increase in eating symptomatology and in psychopathology. Furthermore, AN patients expressed the greatest dissatisfaction and accommodation difficulty with remote therapy when compared with the previously provided face-to-face therapy.     Contribution of cardio-vascular risk factors to depressive status in the PREDIMED-PLUS Trial. A cross-sectional and a 2-year longitudinal study

    Background Cardio-vascular disease and depression are thought to be closely related, due to shared risk factors. The aim of the study was to determine the association between cardio-vascular risk (CVR) factors and depressive status in a population (55-75 years) with metabolic syndrome (MetS) from the PREDIMED-Plus trial. Methods and findings Participants were classified into three groups of CVR according to the Framingham-based REGICOR function: (1) low (LR), (2) medium (MR) or (3) high/very high (HR). The Beck Depression Inventory-II (BDI-II) was used to assess depressive symptoms at baseline and after 2 years. The association between CVR and depressive status at baseline (n = 6545), and their changes after 2 years (n = 4566) were evaluated through multivariable regression models (logistic and linear models). HR women showed higher odds of depressive status than LR [OR (95% CI) = 1.78 (1.26, 2.50)]. MR and HR participants with total cholesterol <160 mg/mL showed higher odds of depression than LR [OR (95% CI) = 1.77 (1.13, 2.77) and 2.83 (1.25, 6.42) respectively)] but those with total cholesterol ¿280 mg/mL showed lower odds of depression than LR [OR (95% CI) = 0.26 (0.07, 0.98) and 0.23 (0.05, 0.95), respectively]. All participants decreased their BDI-II score after 2 years, being the decrease smaller in MR and HR diabetic compared to LR [adjusted mean±SE = -0.52±0.20, -0.41 ±0.27 and -1.25±0.31 respectively). MR and HR participants with total cholesterol between 240-279 mg/mL showed greater decreases in the BDI-II score compared to LR (adjusted mean±SE = -0.83±0.37, -0.77±0.64 and 0.97±0.52 respectively). Conclusions Improving cardiovascular health could prevent the onset of depression in the elderly. Diabetes and total cholesterol in individuals at high CVR, may play a specific role in the precise response.The PREDIMED-Plus trial was supported by the European Research Council through a grant to MAM (Advanced Research Grant 2013-2018; 340918).
