    This dataset contains information from the fourth survey of the collection of Swedish opinion surveys. Many of the questions are replications of question.s asked in previous surveys, some of the questions are excluded and a number of questions are added. New questions in this survey dealt with: measures taken to counteract rise in prices; opinion on what causes the rise in prices; the three most important issues for the government elected in the fall of 1982 and which government would manage best to achieve this; opinion on how to decrease the budget deficit; the 1982 parliamentary election; government most competent to deal with the economic policy, fiscal policy, employment and foreign policy; opinion on the tax reform; important factors for being satisfied with one´s housing; influence of different groups; TV commercials; cars, public transport and environment; fears and hopes for the political development; environmental pollution; violence; the importance of various school subjects; activities in the local area; contributions to peace in the world; Swedish national defence.This dataset contains information from the fourth survey of the collection of Swedish opinion surveys.     This dataset contains information from the second survey of the collection of Swedish opinion surveys. Forty percent of the questions are replications of questions asked in Swedish Opinion 1979 (SSD 0088). New questions dealt with: the influence on the freedom of individuals by laws and other exercise of authorities; willingness to work more if the marginal income tax was lowered; alcohol and drugs; threats against the respondent´s feeling of security; values in life; more security and/or freedom with another government; influence of computers and robots on the respondent´s working conditions; things the respondent can do better than other people and something the respondent did exceptionally well at some occasion; improvements wished in one´s own qualities and abilities; political parties getting more or fewer votes in next general election; qualities of the political parties; opinion on how the party preferred should act toward the other political parties; mining and export of uranium; decentralization; measures to be taken to reduce taxes; media covering of drug abuse; parental influence on children; political opinions in various mass media. The respondents had to give their preference when choosing between pairs of values in life and tell about persons admired. Other questions dealt with the respondents opinion on: cohabiting without being married; men and women sharing household duties equally; the importance of how a person ought to behave; bank loans; interest in a number of activities; attitude toward Konsum; contacts with child´s school or daycare centre; best investment of money; credit card.This dataset contains information from the second survey of the collection of Swedish opinion surveys.     This dataset contains information from the fifth survey of the collection of Swedish opinion surveys. The 1983 survey was carried out in a somewhat different way than the previous surveys. Three questionnaires were used, each containing approximately 275 questions. 104 questions were put in all three questionnaires, and in all there were 538 different questions. Each questionnaire was answered by approximately 900 persons. The questionnaires were compiled with regard to the debate occurring in media during the last quarter of 1982 and the first of 1983. Many of the questions are replications of questions asked in previous surveys, some of the questions are excluded and a number of questions are added. New questions dealt with: reasons for not wanting more children; own and parents country of origin, citizenship and thoughts of emigration; right to vote for immigrants, and Swedes living abroad; adoption; moral, ability and behaviour within a number of occupational groups; groups favoured/unfavoured in the wage negotiations; issues important for the unity within the bourgeoise parties; opinion on how the government succeeded in carrying out their electoral promises and how they are dealing with other problems; opinion on a number of political goals; reasons why social democrats and the bourgeoise parties can´t cooperate; conception of justice; tobacco, alcohol and drugs.This dataset contains information from the fifth survey of the collection of Swedish opinion surveys. These questions deals with: work and working conditions; trade unions; the importance of a number of changes in one´s own personal conditions; the importances of a number of political issues; political party with best ideas to achieve improvements in a number of fields; opinion on the political parties; important factors when deciding how to vote; reading frequencies for a number of daily papers, weeklies and magazines; political opinion of daily papers read; interest in the political debate in mass media; interest in a number of activities; values in life; improvements wanted in one´s own life; bank savings; opinion on the influence a number of organizations and groups have in society.
