    This paper is one of a series reviewing various forms of traditional agricultural production and related aspects. Preliminary work on this review was carried out within the scope of activities of the Food and Agriculture Program's Task 2 ("Technological Transformations in Agriculture: Resource Limitations and Environmental Consequences"). One of the goals of this task's activities is the review of various alternative technologies available in the world for the production of major crops and animal products. This paper can be seen as a first step towards this final objective providing information backed by concrete data. Research work on the topics presented has been carried out partly at IIASA and partly at the All-Union Research Institute of Information and Technical-Economic Research in Agriculture

    This review contains information about different laboratorian rodent′s gait analysis systems. These methods are useful for the assessment of motor function in neurodegenerative models. The following aspects have been considered: ink traces technique, treadmills equipment, and modern gait analysis systems like TreadScan and CatWalk, which allows estimating a set of animals gait parameters. For each technique a detailed description and examples of its use for estimating gait parameters in neurodegenerative diseases are given.В данной статье речь пойдёт о различных методиках оценки походки лабораторных грызунов. Данные методики являются репрезентативными для описания динамики нейродегенеративных заболеваний в рамках поведенческого тестирования на животных моделях. В статье перечислены такие методики как техника чернильных следов, беговые дорожки, а также современные системы TreadScan и CatWalk, позволяющие оценивать множество параметров походки животных. Для каждой из методик дано подробное описание и примеры её использования для оценки параметров походки при нейродегенеративных заболеваниях

    Prolonged drainage of the lower urinary tract in the treatment of refluxing megaureter in children

    The main purpose. To substantiate the need for conservative therapy as the first stage of treatment refluxing megoureter in newborns and infants. Materials and methods. Analyzed result s of treatment 19 children (25 ureters) with different levels of the disease. The evaluation criteria were the ultrasonographic researchers, determining the degree of dilatation of the ureters, the cup-and-pelvis system and the thickness of the kidney parenchyma, as well as the presence of an urinary tract infection. Treatment based on prolonged drainage and lower urinary tract catheter Folleya (up to 1 month), with the interleave instrument natural urination (also up to 1 month, or until the secondary acute pyelonephritis). Medication support was in an antibiotic therapy, taking into account with the sensitivity of microflora and preventive treatment uroseptics. There were regularly monitoring the degree of activity of the secondary flow of pyelonephritis and excretory function of the kidney. Excretory urography and cystography used in suspected degradation of structural parameters and renal function. Indications for surgical treatment were indestructible inflammatory process within one month, the progression of dilatation of the ureters and renal pelvis system, thinning and disruption of parenchymal renal excretory function. Results. In 6 (31,6%) of children to the age of 2 years were revealed a complete disappearance of dilatation of the ureter. In 3 cases of them survived vesicoureteral reflux 1- 2 degrees without renal impairment and without bladder syndrome, which can be considered as a positive treatment outcome. Conclusion. Treatment the newborns and infants with refluxing megaureter should begin with conservative therapy, including prolonged drainage of the lower urinary tract

    The article draws attention to the fact that although the use of information technologies in education is widespread and actively discussed, the practice of using mobile digital devices in education is much less common and studied. It is noted that the widespread use of mobile digital devices has led to the active use of mobile applications by students for educational tasks. However, the institutional response to the new trend by educational institutions remains very limited and largely experimental. The article provides an overview and analysis of the modern practice of integration of mobile technologies in the educational process. It is revealed that mobile technologies can be successfully applied not only as an alternative way of access to educational resources, but also for reorganization and increase of flexibility of educational process, expansion of opportunities of interaction of students, teachers and administration, expansion of experience directly during classroom work.В статье рассматривается проблема недостаточного распространения и изучения практики применения в образовании мобильных цифровых устройств, хотя использование информационных технологий в образовании является повсеместным и активно обсуждаемым. Широкое распространение мобильных цифровых устройств привело к активному использованию студентами мобильных приложений для решения учебных задач. Однако институциональная реакция на новый тренд со стороны учебных заведений остается крайне ограниченной и носит преимущественно экспериментальный характер. Приведены обзор и анализ современной практики интеграции мобильных технологий в образовательный процесс. Выявлено, что мобильные технологии могут успешно применяться не только в качестве альтернативного способа доступа к образовательным ресурсам, но также для реорганизации и повышения гибкости учебного процесса, расширения возможностей взаимодействия студентов, преподавателей и администрации, углубления опыта непосредственно в ходе аудиторной работы

    Measurement of CP observables in B± → D(⁎)K± and B± → D(⁎)π± decays

    Measurements of CP observables in B ± →D (⁎) K ± and B ± →D (⁎) π ± decays are presented, where D (⁎) indicates a neutral D or D ⁎ meson that is an admixture of D (⁎)0 and D¯ (⁎)0 states. Decays of the D ⁎ meson to the Dπ 0 and Dγ final states are partially reconstructed without inclusion of the neutral pion or photon, resulting in distinctive shapes in the B candidate invariant mass distribution. Decays of the D meson are fully reconstructed in the K ± π ∓ , K + K − and π + π − final states. The analysis uses a sample of charged B mesons produced in pp collisions collected by the LHCb experiment, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 2.0, 1.0 and 2.0 fb −1 taken at centre-of-mass energies of s=7, 8 and 13 TeV, respectively. The study of B ± →D ⁎ K ± and B ± →D ⁎ π ± decays using a partial reconstruction method is the first of its kind, while the measurement of B ± →DK ± and B ± →Dπ ± decays is an update of previous LHCb measurements. The B ± →DK ± results are the most precise to date

    Observation of ηc(2S)ppˉ\eta_{c}(2S) \to p \bar p and search for X(3872)ppˉX(3872) \to p \bar p decays

    The first observation of the decay ηc(2S)ppˉ\eta_{c}(2S) \to p \bar p is reported using proton-proton collision data corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 3.0fb13.0\rm \, fb^{-1} recorded by the LHCb experiment at centre-of-mass energies of 7 and 8 TeV. The ηc(2S)\eta_{c}(2S) resonance is produced in the decay B+[ccˉ]K+B^{+} \to [c\bar c] K^{+}. The product of branching fractions normalised to that for the J/ψJ/\psi intermediate state, Rηc(2S){\cal R}_{\eta_{c}(2S)}, is measured to be \begin{align*} {\cal R}_{\eta_{c}(2S)}\equiv\frac{{\mathcal B}(B^{+} \to \eta_{c}(2S) K^{+}) \times {\mathcal B}(\eta_{c}(2S) \to p \bar p)}{{\mathcal B}(B^{+} \to J/\psi K^{+}) \times {\mathcal B}(J/\psi\to p \bar p)} =~& (1.58 \pm 0.33 \pm 0.09)\times 10^{-2}, \end{align*} where the first uncertainty is statistical and the second systematic. No signals for the decays B+X(3872)(ppˉ)K+B^{+} \to X(3872) (\to p \bar p) K^{+} and B+ψ(3770)(ppˉ)K+B^{+} \to \psi(3770) (\to p \bar p) K^{+} are seen, and the 95\% confidence level upper limits on their relative branching ratios are % found to be RX(3872)<0.25×102{\cal R}_{X(3872)}<0.25\times10^{-2} and Rψ(3770))<0.10{\cal R}_{\psi(3770))}<0.10. In addition, the mass differences between the ηc(1S)\eta_{c}(1S) and the J/ψJ/\psi states, between the ηc(2S)\eta_{c}(2S) and the ψ(2S)\psi(2S) states, and the natural width of the ηc(1S)\eta_{c}(1S) are measured as \begin{align*} M_{J/\psi} - M_{\eta_{c}(1S)} =~& 110.2 \pm 0.5 \pm 0.9 \rm \, MeV, M_{\psi(2S)} -M_{\eta_{c}(2S)} =~ & 52.5 \pm 1.7 \pm 0.6 \rm \, MeV, \Gamma_{\eta_{c}(1S)} =~& 34.0 \pm 1.9 \pm 1.3 \rm \, MeV. \end{align*}Comment: 16 pages, 2 figures All figures and tables, along with any supplementary material and additional information, are available at https://lhcbproject.web.cern.ch/lhcbproject/Publications/LHCbProjectPublic/LHCb-PAPER-2016-016.htm

BInternational audienceA search for CP violation in D±→η′π± and D±s→η′π± decays is performed using proton-proton collision data, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 3 fb−1, recorded by the LHCb experiment at centre-of-mass energies of 7 and 8 TeV. The measured CP-violating charge asymmetries are ACP(D±→η′π±)=(−0.61±0.72±0.55±0.12)% and ACP(D±s→η′π±)=(−0.82±0.36±0.24±0.27)%, where the first uncertainties are statistical, the second systematic, and the third are the uncertainties on the ACP(D±→K0Sπ±) and ACP(D±s→ϕπ±) measurements used for calibration. The results represent the most precise measurements of these asymmetries to date

    Search for CPCP violation in the phase space of D0π+ππ+πD^0\rightarrow\pi^+\pi^-\pi^+\pi^- decays

    A search for time-integrated CPCP violation in the Cabibbo-suppressed decay \mbox{D^0\rightarrow\pi^+\pi^-\pi^+\pi^-} is performed using an unbinned, model-independent technique known as the energy test. This is the first application of the energy test in four-body decays. The search is performed for PP-even CPCP asymmetries and, for the first time, is extended to probe the PP-odd case. Using proton-proton collision data corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 3.0 fb1^{-1} collected by the LHCb detector at centre-of-mass energies of s=\sqrt{s}=7 TeV and 8 TeV, the world's best sensitivity to CPCP violation in this decay is obtained. The data are found to be consistent with the hypothesis of CPCP symmetry with a pp-value of (4.6±0.5)%(4.6\pm0.5)\% in the PP-even case, and marginally consistent with a pp-value of (0.6±0.2)%(0.6\pm0.2)\% in the PP-odd case, corresponding to a significance for CPCP non-conservation of 2.7 standard deviations.Comment: All figures and tables, along with any supplementary material and additional information, are available at https://lhcbproject.web.cern.ch/lhcbproject/Publications/LHCbProjectPublic/LHCb-PAPER-2016-044.htm

    First observation of forward ZbbˉZ \rightarrow b \bar{b} production in pppp collisions at s=8\sqrt{s}=8 TeV

    The decay Z→bb¯ is reconstructed in pp collision data, corresponding to 2 fb −1 of integrated luminosity, collected by the LHCb experiment at a centre-of-mass energy of s=8 TeV. The product of the Z production cross-section and the Z→bb¯ branching fraction is measured for candidates in the fiducial region defined by two particle-level b -quark jets with pseudorapidities in the range 2.220 GeV and dijet invariant mass in the range 4520GeVanddijetinvariantmassintherange GeV and dijet invariant mass in the range 45 < m_{jj} < 165GeV.Fromasignalyieldof GeV. From a signal yield of 5462 \pm 763 Z \rightarrow b \bar{b}events,wheretheuncertaintyisstatistical,aproductioncrosssectiontimesbranchingfractionof events, where the uncertainty is statistical, a production cross-section times branching fraction of 332 \pm 46 \pm 59pbisobtained,wherethefirstuncertaintyisstatisticalandthesecondsystematic.Themeasuredsignificanceofthesignalyieldis6.0standarddeviations.Thismeasurementrepresentsthefirstobservationofthe pb is obtained, where the first uncertainty is statistical and the second systematic. The measured significance of the signal yield is 6.0 standard deviations. This measurement represents the first observation of the Z \rightarrow b \bar{b}productionintheforwardregionof production in the forward region of pp$ collisions
