Marqueurs chromosomiques: à propos d'un cas

    Get PDF

Study of Cu/In/Se/Se thin films prepared by the Stacked Elemental Layer (SEL) technique

CuInSe2 thin films have been grown on Corning glass and Si (100) substrates using stacked elemental layers (SEL) processing. The influence of substrate’s nature and substrate’s temperature were studied. X-ray diffraction and SEM measurements have shown that the films exhibit an excellent crystallinity and crystallize in a tetragonal structure. Scanning electron microscopy investigations have shown that the films consist in a structure with large grains in the range 80 – 200 nm. Increasing the deposition temperature from room temperature to 300 °C has lead to a change in the composition and morphology of the films. Characteristic peaks of the chalcopyrite structure such as (101), (211) and (311) were clearly observed for both layers upon annealing at 450°C as evidenced by X-ray diffraction study. The determined lattice parameters were a = 0.57725 (6) nm, b = 1.1621 (2) nm for sample prepared at room temperature and a = 0.57770 (4) nm, b = 1.1602 (1) nm for Ts = 300°C. The crystallographic structure of the CuInSe2 sample was analyzed by Rietveld analysis using X-ray powder diffraction data. UV-Vis-NIR Spectrophotometry was used to investigate the optical characteristics of different Cu/In/Se/Se thin layers in the spectral range between 300 – 2000 nm. The optical band-gap of our materials increases from 0.98 to 1.01 eV

peer reviewedSoybean meal is the main source of protein in laying hens’ diet that is generally imported. This study aims to explore the yellow mealworm larvae (Tenebrio molitor) “TM”, and curcuma effects on laying hens’ performances, and physical and nutritional eggs quality. One hundred laying hens were divided randomly into 4 groups. The first group (Control) received a standard commercial diet (SCD), while test groups (TM, TP, and TM-TP) received SCD with respectively 5% TM, 0.50 % curcuma, and 5% TM and 0.50% curcuma. According to the results, Control and TM reduced significantly hen’s bodyweight in the experiment end. However, the curcuma incorporation and TM (TP and TM-TP) kept the stability of bodyweight during the whole period. No effect of diet was observed on feed intake and egg laying rate. Diet had a significant effect on eggs physical parameters (weight, freshness, thickness and rupture force). The mixture of TM and curcuma permitted eggs with good physical parameters. For nutritional quality of eggs, all groups had the same content of ALA and DHA. However, eggs of group receiving a mixture of TM and curcuma had the lowest cholesterol content. Thus, TM and curcuma could reduce soybean importation dependence with improving eggs quality

Extensive livestock farming plays an important socio-economic role for goat farmers in Western Rif. Silvopastoral resources are the main source of feed for herds. Actually, these resources have a strong tendency to degradation. To ensure their sustainability, setting up a monitoring and evaluation system is a necessity. The aim of this study was to assess the pastoral production and the silvopastoral areas use. This work was carried out in two forest rangelands (Ain Rami and Derdara), where dairy goat farming has been dominant for decades. For the floristic study, a total of ninety-six plant species were counted. The chemical composition and nutritional value of pastoral species varied according to the analyzed species. For phytomass, significant differences were noted according to the season and the sites, with a maximum productivity in spring of 2725 and 2465 kg DM per hectare, respectively in Ain Rami and Derdara. The degree of palatability depended mainly on the chemical composition and the season of pastoral species intake. The most grazed rangelands were overgrown by unpalatable species. Management actions of silvopastoral resources use, including a reduction of grazing pressure, should be developed to ensure the productivity and the sustainability of these resources.L’élevage extensif joue un rôle socio-économique très important pour les éleveurs caprins du Rif occidental.

Wave: A New Family of Trapdoor One-Way Preimage Sampleable Functions Based on Codes

    Get PDF
We present here a new family of trapdoor one-way Preimage Sampleable Functions (PSF) based on codes, the Wave-PSF family. The trapdoor function is one-way under two computational assumptions: the hardness of generic decoding for high weights and the indistinguishability of generalized (U,U+V)(U,U+V)-codes. Our proof follows the GPV strategy [GPV08]. By including rejection sampling, we ensure the proper distribution for the trapdoor inverse output. The domain sampling property of our family is ensured by using and proving a variant of the left-over hash lemma. We instantiate the new Wave-PSF family with ternary generalized (U,U+V)(U,U+V)-codes to design a "hash-and-sign" signature scheme which achieves existential unforgeability under adaptive chosen message attacks (EUF-CMA) in the random oracle model. For 128 bits of classical security, signature sizes are in the order of 15 thousand bits, the public key size in the order of 4 megabytes, and the rejection rate is limited to one rejection every 10 to 12 signatures.Comment: arXiv admin note: text overlap with arXiv:1706.0806

Impact of clinical pharmacy on the psychotropic drugs prescription in neurological rehabilitation: A retrospective study

    Get PDF
IntroductionPsychotropic drugs are frequently prescribed in neuro-rehabilitation. In our institution, they account for 18% of prescriptions. For several years, clinical pharmacy activities were developed in collaboration with physicians and psychiatrists. The aim of this study is to evaluate the impact of this approach by the retrospective measure of psychotropic drugs consumption over 4 years, and link them to the evolution of hospital stays recorded through the PMSI (Programme de médicalisation des systèmes d’information, France).MethodsThe study took place over the period 2010–2013. It included three steps: 1/Monitoring of psychotropic drugs consumption (antipsychotics, anxiolytics, hypnotics and antidepressants) of 9 units (225 beds), by value and treatment days calculated from the daily average dosage (THERIAQUE); 2/Identification of hospitalised patients with at least one diagnosis code of either depression, anxiety, insomnia, and/or psychotic disorders; 3/Analysis of patient data with regard to drug consumption.ResultsFrom 2010 to 2013, the cost of psychotropic drugs was reduced by 24%, from 17,617 to 13,366 euros. The number of treatment days decreased by 30% from 84,765 to 59,466 days. The most significant decline was for hypnotic drugs (–62%) (28,110 to 10,623 days), and anxiolytic drugs (–37%) (28,958 to 18,343 days). The usage of antidepressant drugs increased by 21% (19,996 to 24,154 days), while the usage of antipsychotic drugs was stable (6346 days in 2013). During the same period, the overall number of patients with psychological diagnosis code hospital stays increased by 146% (213 to 523). It can be further detailed as follows: +380% for patients with an anxiety disorder (60 to 287), +71% for patients with depressive symptoms (78 to 133). Stays of patients with psychotic disorders remained stable.DiscussionThis study illustrates that a clinical pharmacy action targeted on psychotropic drugs prescriptions in collaboration with physicians and psychiatrists has reduced their consumption in neuro-rehabilitation. This decrease concerns mainly anxiolytic drugs and hypnotic drugs, despite the rise in number of hospital stays of patients with anxiety disorders. These results follow the recent recommendations of the ANSM (Agence nationale de sécurité du médicament, France)

Cytokines Modulate the “Immune-Metabolism” Interactions during Behçet Disease: Effect on Arginine Metabolism

    Get PDF
Aim and Methods. In this study, we evaluated NOS and arginase activities and their regulation during Behçet disease, a systemic chronic inflammatory disorder with uncertain etiology. The peripheral blood mononuclear cells of 36 patients and 15 control samples (PBMC) were cultured in either RPMI 1640, MEM, or DMEM complemented with 10% of FBS and antibiotics. Cultures were performed with or without the control or patients plasma. Subsequent treatment contained anticytokines (IL-6, TGF-β), a mitogenic effector (PHA), or NOS modulators (L-NMMA, BH4). Culture supernatants were harvested after 24 h of incubation. NO and urea measurements were, respectively, performed by modified Griess and Berthelot methods. Results. Higher urea levels were found in patients’ plasma compared to the control’s (P < 0.05). NOS modulators induced inverted production profiles for NO and urea (P < 0.05). Their results differed depending on the clinical findings (P < 0.05). It was also found that cytokine neutralization induced different response profiles in patients as opposed to control cultures (P < 0.05). Conclusion. Our results suggest that arginases can compete with NOS2 for L-arginine during Behçet disease. Both enzymes are regulated by environmental cytokines and substrate availability. Furthermore, it seems that NOS/arginase balance is dependent on clinical expression

    The ocean sampling day consortium

    Get PDF
Ocean Sampling Day was initiated by the EU-funded Micro B3 (Marine Microbial Biodiversity, Bioinformatics, Biotechnology) project to obtain a snapshot of the marine microbial biodiversity and function of the world’s oceans. It is a simultaneous global mega-sequencing campaign aiming to generate the largest standardized microbial data set in a single day. This will be achievable only through the coordinated efforts of an Ocean Sampling Day Consortium, supportive partnerships and networks between sites. This commentary outlines the establishment, function and aims of the Consortium and describes our vision for a sustainable study of marine microbial communities and their embedded functional traits
