Consideraciones clínicas sobre la resorción radicular externa por impactación dentaria
[email protected] resorción externa por presión (RREP) consiste en una pérdida de tejido dentinario y cementario de las raíces
dentarias que se origina a nivel del ligamento periodontal, ocasionada por presiones prolongadas y mantenidas
sobre la raíz. Presentamos tres casos con diferente repercusión y tratamiento. Según el distinto grado de afectación
se describe y clasifica el tratamiento de RREP a causa de dientes impactados. En cuanto a la restauración
de RREP se perfila la cavidad clase V de diseño 5 y el empleo de cermet o amalgamas de plata para su relleno.Pressure external root resorption (PERR) is a loss of dental root tissues (dentine and cementum) that begin in the
periodontal area caused by a impacted teeth. We show three cases with differents clinical situations and therapeutical
aspects. Pulpal injurie and difficulty in the post-endodontic cavity acces are characteristiques of these processes.
Depending on the level of tissue destruction we discusse the therapeutical orientation in each case. Some
treatments like class V type 5 cavities or fillings with cermet glass-ionomer in the more atipical situations (generally
after an endodontic treatment) are a good choice in these [email protected]

Experimental setup and procedure for the measurement of the 7Be(n,p)7Li reaction at n_TOF
Following the completion of the second neutron beam line and the related experimental area (EAR2) at the n_TOF spallation neutron source at CERN, several experiments were planned and performed. The high instantaneous neutron flux available in EAR2 allows to investigate neutron induced reactions with charged particles in the exit channel even employing targets made out of small amounts of short-lived radioactive isotopes. After the successful measurement of the 7Be(n,) cross section, the 7Be(n,p)7Li reaction was studied in order to provide still missing cross section data of relevance for Big Bang Nucleosynthesis (BBN), in an attempt to find a solution to the cosmological Lithium abundance problem. Sarcomas primarios de hueso: estudio por citometría estática mediante análisis digital de imagen
Se presenta un estudio morfométrico y densitométrico mediante análisis digital
de imagen de una serie de 50 tumores óseos malignos (32 osteosarcomas, 12 condrosarcomas
y 6 histiocitomas fibrosos malignos de hueso), con el fin de evaluar la utilidad
de la técnica para establecer el grado y el pronóstico de estas neoplasias. Las variables
morfométricas y la disposición de la cromatina guardan una estrecha relación con el grado
histológico (Spearman; p < 0,05) y muestran diferencias estadísticamente significativas
entre los tumores considerados de alto y bajo grado en base a su presentación y evolución
clínica. La ploidía estimada por densitometría óptica se comporta como un factor pronóstico
independiente en el análisis multivariante de la serie de tumores de alto grado (COX;
p < 0,001). La citometría estática, aunque más lenta e imprecisa que la citometría de flujo
en la determinación de los picos de ploidía, permite analizar el modelo de cromatina y
contribuye objetivamente al establecimiento del grado biológico de los tumores óseos.A densitometry and morphometric assessment by static image cytometry of
50 malignant bone tumors (32 osteosarcomas, 12 chondrosarcomas, and 6 malignant fibrous
histiocytomas of bone) was performed in order to assess the validity of the technic
in the pathobiological and prognostic evaluation of these neoplasms. A strong correlation
between the morphometric features, cromatine distribution and histologic grade was
found (Spearman; p < 0.05). These parameters are also statistically different for hight and
low grade tumors in clinical staging. The stimation of DNA ploidy by optic densitometry
is a significant prognostic factor in the multivariant analysis for the high grade tumors
(COX; p < 0.001). Although Flow cytometry is a better procedure to evaluate DNA ploidy
peaks, our study reveals static image cytometry as a useful technic for determine the
cromatine model and objective assessment of the biological grade of bone neoplasms
The 2011 October Draconids outburst. I. Orbital elements, meteoroid fluxes and 21P/Giacobini-Zinner delivered mass to Earth
On October 8th, 2011 the Earth crossed the dust trails left by comet
21P/Giacobini-Zinner during its XIX and XX century perihelion approaches with
the comet being close to perihelion. The geometric circumstances of that
encounter were thus favorable to produce a meteor storm, but the trails were
much older than in the 1933 and 1946 historical encounters. As a consequence
the 2011 October Draconid display exhibited several activity peaks with
Zenithal Hourly Rates of about 400 meteors per hour. In fact, if the display
had been not forecasted, it could have passed almost unnoticed as was strongly
attenuated for visual observers due to the Moon. This suggests that most meteor
storms of a similar nature could have passed historically unnoticed under
unfavorable weather and Moon observing conditions. The possibility of obtaining
information on the physical properties of cometary meteoroids penetrating the
atmosphere under low-geocentric velocity encounter circumstances motivated us
to set up a special observing campaign. Added to the Spanish Fireball Network
wide-field all-sky and CCD video monitoring, other high-sensitivity 1/2" black
and white CCD video cameras were attached to modified medium-field lenses for
obtaining high resolution orbital information. The trajectory, radiant, and
orbital data of 16 October Draconid meteors observed at multiple stations are
presented. The results show that the meteors appeared from a geocentric radiant
located at R.A.=263.0+-0.4 deg. and Dec.=+55.3+-0.3 deg. that is in close
agreement with the radiant predicted for the 1873-1894 and the 1900 dust
trails. The estimated mass of material from 21P/Giacobini-Zinner delivered to

Detection of He I \AA{} absorption on HD 189733 b with CARMENES high-resolution transmission spectroscopy
We present three transit observations of HD 189733 b obtained with the
high-resolution spectrograph CARMENES at Calar Alto. A strong absorption signal
is detected in the near-infrared He I triplet at 10830 \AA{} in all three
transits. During mid-transit, the mean absorption level is %
measured in a 10 km s range at a net blueshift of km
s (10829.84--10830.57 \AA{}). The absorption signal exhibits radial
velocities of km s and km s during
ingress and egress, respectively; measured in the planetary rest frame. We show
that stellar activity related pseudo-signals interfere with the planetary
atmospheric absorption signal. They could contribute as much as 80% of the
observed signal and might also affect the radial velocity signature, but
pseudo-signals are very unlikely to explain the entire signal. The observed
line ratio between the two unresolved and the third line of the He I triplet is
, which strongly deviates from the value expected for an optically
thin atmospheres. When interpreted in terms of absorption in the planetary
atmosphere, this favors a compact helium atmosphere with an extent of only 0.2
planetary radii and a substantial column density on the order of cm. The observed radial velocities can be understood either in
terms of atmospheric circulation with equatorial superrotation or as a sign of
an asymmetric atmospheric component of evaporating material. We detect no clear
signature of ongoing evaporation, like pre- or post-transit absorption, which
could indicate material beyond the planetary Roche lobe, or radial velocities
in excess of the escape velocity. These findings do not contradict planetary
evaporation, but only show that the detected helium absorption in HD 189733 b

Los Poyos del Molinillo (Frigiliana): new site of the Bronze Age in the East Axarquía (Málaga, Andalucía)
En este trabajo damos a conocer un nuevo yacimiento descubierto recientemente en el municipio de Frigiliana. La delimitación del área denominada Los Poyos del Molinillo permitió definir la existencia de un poblado y una covacha con restos de una inhumación. El estudio de los materiales arqueológicos, que incluye cerámica, piezas metálicas o elementos de molturación, o la datación AMS obtenida, permiten adscribir el yacimiento a la Edad del Bronce y ampliar el conocimiento de esta etapa en la Axarquía oriental (Málaga, Andalucía).In this work we present a new site recently discovered in the Frigiliana municipality (Málaga). The spatial delimitation of the so called Los Poyos del Molinillo area let us define a Bronze age settlement and an inhumation burial cave. The archaeological record includes ceramic, metallic items or grinding elements, all of them belonging to the Bronze Age, as well as an AMS Radiocarbon data. This site extends the knowledge about this period in the Eastern Axarquía (Málaga, Andalucía)
Stepwise Simulation of 3,5-Dihydro-5-methylidene-4H-imidazol-4-one (MIO) Biogenesis in Histidine Ammonia-lyase
A 3,5-dihydro-5-methylidene-4H-imidazol-4-one (MIO) electrophilic moiety is post-translationally and autocatalytically generated in homotetrameric histidine ammonia-lyase (HAL) and other enzymes containing the tripeptide Ala-Ser-Gly in a suitably positioned loop. The backbone cyclization step is identical to that taking place during fluorophore formation in green fluorescent protein from the tripeptide Ser-Tyr-Gly, but dehydration, rather than dehydrogenation by molecular oxygen, is the reaction that gives rise to the mature MIO ring system. To gain additional insight into this unique process and shed light on some still unresolved issues, we have made use of extensive molecular dynamics simulations and hybrid quantum mechanics/molecular mechanics calculations implementing the self-consistent charge density functional tight-binding method on a fully solvated tetramer of Pseudomonas putida HAL. Our results strongly support the idea that mechanical compression of the reacting loop by neighboring protein residues in the precursor state is absolutely required to prevent formation of inhibitory main-chain hydrogen bonds and to enforce proper alignment of donor and acceptor orbitals for bond creation. The consideration of the protein environment in our computations shows that water molecules, which have been mostly neglected in previous theoretical work, play a highly relevant role in the reaction mechanism and, more importantly, that backbone cyclization resulting from the nucleophilic attack of the Gly amide lone pair on the π∗ orbital of the Ala carbonyl precedes side-chain dehydration of the central serine.</p
The Mice at play in the CALIFA survey: A case study of a gas-rich major merger between first passage and coalescence
We present optical integral field spectroscopy (IFS) observations of the
Mice, a major merger between two massive (>10^11Msol) gas-rich spirals NGC4676A
and B, observed between first passage and final coalescence. The spectra
provide stellar and gas kinematics, ionised gas properties and stellar
population diagnostics, over the full optical extent of both galaxies. The Mice
provide a perfect case study highlighting the importance of IFS data for
improving our understanding of local galaxies. The impact of first passage on
the kinematics of the stars and gas has been significant, with strong bars
likely induced in both galaxies. The barred spiral NGC4676B exhibits a strong
twist in both its stellar and ionised gas disk. On the other hand, the impact
of the merger on the stellar populations has been minimal thus far: star
formation induced by the recent close passage has not contributed significantly
to the global star formation rate or stellar mass of the galaxies. Both
galaxies show bicones of high ionisation gas extending along their minor axes.
In NGC4676A the high gas velocity dispersion and Seyfert-like line ratios at
large scaleheight indicate a powerful outflow. Fast shocks extend to ~6.6kpc
above the disk plane. The measured ram pressure and mass outflow rate
(~8-20Msol/yr) are similar to superwinds from local ULIRGs, although NGC4676A
has only a moderate infrared luminosity of 3x10^10Lsol. Energy beyond that
provided by the mechanical energy of the starburst appears to be required to
drive the outflow. We compare the observations to mock kinematic and stellar
population maps from a merger simulation. The models show little enhancement in
star formation during and following first passage, in agreement with the
observations. We highlight areas where IFS data could help further constrain

Multiplicity dependence of jet-like two-particle correlations in p-Pb collisions at = 5.02 TeV
Two-particle angular correlations between unidentified charged trigger and
associated particles are measured by the ALICE detector in p-Pb collisions at a
nucleon-nucleon centre-of-mass energy of 5.02 TeV. The transverse-momentum
range 0.7 5.0 GeV/ is examined,
to include correlations induced by jets originating from low
momen\-tum-transfer scatterings (minijets). The correlations expressed as
associated yield per trigger particle are obtained in the pseudorapidity range
. The near-side long-range pseudorapidity correlations observed in
high-multiplicity p-Pb collisions are subtracted from both near-side
short-range and away-side correlations in order to remove the non-jet-like
components. The yields in the jet-like peaks are found to be invariant with
event multiplicity with the exception of events with low multiplicity. This
invariance is consistent with the particles being produced via the incoherent
fragmentation of multiple parton--parton scatterings, while the yield related
to the previously observed ridge structures is not jet-related. The number of
uncorrelated sources of particle production is found to increase linearly with
multiplicity, suggesting no saturation of the number of multi-parton
interactions even in the highest multiplicity p-Pb collisions. Further, the
number scales in the intermediate multiplicity region with the number of binary
