Engagement y satisfacción laboral del personal de salud del hospital Santa María de Cutervo

Se desarrolló el presente estudio con el objetivo de evaluar la relación entre el engagement y la satisfacción laboral del personal de salud del Hospital Santa María de Cutervo. Estudio de tipo básica, cuantitativa, diseño no experimental, transversal y alcance correlacional. Se tuvo una muestra de 88 trabajadores, se aplicó el muestreo probabilístico aleatorio estratificado, con criterios de inclusión y exclusión. Se usó la técnica de encuesta aplicando instrumentos ya validados, el cuestionario UWES-17 para el engagement y el cuestionario de satisfacción laboral según modelo de Herzberg de Oblitas, los que se recolectaron en forma presencial y voluntaria. El procesamiento y análisis de datos se realizó en el programa Microsoft Excel y luego se trasladó al programa SPSS V. 27, aplicando la estadística descriptiva simple y prueba estadística inferencial no paramétrica. Los resultados mostraron que la mayoría de los participantes fueron mujeres, entre 36 y 60 años de edad, casadas o convivientes, técnicos de enfermería, nombradas, con 11 a 30 años de servicio; El nivel de engagement es alto (71.6%) con altos niveles de vigor, dedicación y absorción. El nivel de satisfacción laboral es moderada (62.5%) con alta satisfacción intrínseca y moderada satisfacción extrínseca. Existe relación entre niveles altos de engagement con niveles moderados de satisfacción laboral con un coeficiente de correlación Rho de Spearman (ρ = 0.409). Las dimensiones del engagement se relacionan positivamente con la satisfacción laboral. En el proyecto ESTRATEGIAS DE FORMACIÓN EN VALORES CON PADRES Y MADRES USUARI@S DEL HOGAR COMUNITARIO –FAMI- “LOS BULLICIOSOS” DEL BARRIO LA VICTORIA DE FLORENCIA CAQUETÁ, se destaca en todo el proceso el protagonismo de los usuarios para el fortalecimiento de una escala de valores y actitudes sociales hacia ellos mismos y hacia los demás, pretendiendo de esta manera la participación activa de todos, en busca de hombres y mujeres líderes en procesos sociales. Partimos de conocernos y expresar nuestros conocimientos adquiridos en un proceso formativo en el transcurso de nuestra carrera. Se encontró inversión de valores en las relaciones intrafamiliares, para lo cual se hizo necesario tomar todos los elementos de la Investigación- Acción-Participación (IAP), reconociendo todas las representaciones sociales, partiendo del núcleo familiar y de todos aquellos valores importantes para ellos tales como: respeto, amor, diálogo, paz, tolerancia, cooperación y autoestima. Se dio la posibilidad de reconstruir su visión de futuro y mejorar la calidad de sus relaciones familiares y comunitarias; así, desde la Psicología Social Comunitaria, podemos transformar nuestros proyectos de vida en la tarea de construir y generar procesos de cambio en el campo donde nos encontremos de acuerdo con las necesidades y expectativas de la comunidad.In the project STRATEGIES OF FORMATION IN VALUES WITH USERS PARENTS OF COMMUNAL HOME –FAMI- “LOS BULLICIOSOS” OF VICTORY NEIGHBORHOOD stands out in the whole process the protagonism of the users for the invigoration of a scale of values and social attitudes toward themselves and toward the other ones, seeking this way the active participation of all, in men’s search and women leaders in social processes. He/she was investment of values in the relationships family intra, for that which became necessary to take all the elements of the Investigation –Action-Participation (IAP), recognizing all the representations social, leaving of the family nucleus and of all those important values for them such as: I respect, love, dialogue, peace, tolerance, cooperation and self-esteem. H3.1K27me1 maintains transcriptional silencing and genome stability by preventing GCN5-mediated histone acetylation

Epigenetic mechanisms play diverse roles in the regulation of genome stability in eukaryotes. In Arabidopsis thaliana, genome stability is maintained during DNA replication by the H3.1K27 methyltransferases ARABIDOPSIS TRITHORAX-RELATED PROTEIN 5 (ATXR5) and ATXR6, which catalyze the deposition of K27me1 on replication-dependent H3.1 variants. The loss of H3.1K27me1 in atxr5 atxr6 double mutants leads to heterochromatin defects, including transcriptional de-repression and genomic instability, but the molecular mechanisms involved remain largely unknown. In this study, we identified the transcriptional co-activator and conserved histone acetyltransferase GCN5 as a mediator of transcriptional de-repression and genomic instability in the absence of H3.1K27me1. GCN5 is part of a SAGA-like complex in plants that requires the GCN5-interacting protein ADA2b and the chromatin remodeler CHR6 to mediate the heterochromatic defects in atxr5 atxr6 mutants. Our results also indicate that Arabidopsis GCN5 acetylates multiple lysine residues on H3.1 variants, but H3.1K27 and H3.1K36 play essential functions in inducing genomic instability in the absence of H3.1K27me1. Finally, we show that H3.1K36 acetylation by GCN5 is negatively regulated by H3.1K27me1 in vitro. Overall, this work reveals a key molecular role for H3.1K27me1 in maintaining transcriptional silencing and genome stability in heterochromatin by restricting GCN5-mediated histone acetylation in plants

Employment of Organic Residues for Methane Production: The Use of Wastes of the Pulp and Paper Industry to Produce Biogas - A Case Study

Many organic residues are being wasted since they are not given a comprehensive management; anaerobic digestion is an alternative to reduce the impact of these residues, and to produce biogas. The chapter includes the state of art about biogas and energy production, and later, the analysis of a study case focusing on the use of pulp and paper wastes to produce biogas. The study was carried out through anaerobic digestion at a bench scale using three temperature phases to treat primary and secondary sludge, establishing operational parameters such as temperature, retention time, and organic loadings. Monitoring of volume, methane concentration in the biogas, volatile solids reduction, volatile fatty acids during the process, the performance of the process in function of methane produced per volatile solids removed is calculated. This case study shows that it is feasible to use the sludge from the company’s wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) for the generation of biogas, thus reducing waste management problems

Chronic hepatitis C treatment in HIV co‐infection in Portugal: Results from a cohort OF 2133 patients presented by GEPCOI (Portuguese Coinfection Study Group)

Direct-acting antiviral drugs (DAAs) have recently changed the paradigm of hepatitis C therapy, significantly improving treatment response rates, patient life expectancy and quality of life. In Portugal, sofosbuvir (SOF) and SOF/ledipasvir (SOF/LDV) were fully reimbursed by the National Health System since early 2015 and generalized use of interferon-free DAA based regimens became current practice. During 2016, the remaining DAAs were sequentially added and covered by the same health access policy. The Portuguese Study Group of Hepatitis and HIV Co-infection (GEPCOI) collected data from 15 clinical centres in Portugal, pertaining to the HCV treatment experience with DAA regimens. A cohort of 2133 patients was analysed, representing one of the largest DAA treated HCV/HIV co-infected individuals. The global sustained virologic response (SVR) achieved was 95% in this real-life cohort setting. Linear regression analysis showed significant differences in treatment response rates when using SOF plus ribavirin (RBV) combination in genotype 2 or 3 infected individuals (P < .002) and in those with liver cirrhosis (P < .002). These findings corroborate that early treatment is mandatory in HIV/HCV co-infected patients, as response rates may be negatively influenced by higher fibrosis stages and suboptimal DAA regimens. The current national Portuguese health policy should continue to promote wider treatment access and individualized therapy strategies, aiming at the elimination of HCV infection in this high-risk co-infected population.info:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersio

Viral genetic clustering and transmission dynamics of the 2022 mpox outbreak in Portugal

Pathogen genome sequencing during epidemics enhances our ability to identify and understand suspected clusters and investigate their relationships. Here, we combine genomic and epidemiological data of the 2022 mpox outbreak to better understand early viral spread, diversification and transmission dynamics. By sequencing 52% of the confirmed cases in Portugal, we identified the mpox virus sublineages with the highest impact on case numbers and fitted them into a global context, finding evidence that several international sublineages probably emerged or spread early in Portugal. We estimated a 62% infection reporting rate and that 1.3% of the population of men who have sex with men in Portugal were infected. We infer the critical role played by sexual networks and superspreader gatherings, such as sauna attendance, in the dissemination of mpox virus. Overall, our findings highlight genomic epidemiology as a tool for the real-time monitoring and control of mpox epidemics, and can guide future vaccine policy in a highly susceptible population.info:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersio
