Citizen science, the engagement of people in a research project, has grown rapidly in recent years, also for mapping of species of conservation interest. The Life Project "Monitoring Insects with Public Participation" (MIPP) actively promoted collaboration amongst scientists, public administrations and citizens in the collection of occurrence data of nine insect species listed in the Habitats Directive: Lucanus cervus, Osmoderma eremita, Cerambyx cerdo, Rosalia alpina, Morimus asper/funereus, Lopinga achine, Parnassius apollo, Zerynthia cassandra/polyxena and Saga pedo. These species were selected because they share two main characteristics: (i) they are listed in Annexes II and IV of the Habitats Directive and (ii) they are large and relatively easy to identify. From 2014 to 2016, many different strategies were applied to contact and engage the public and approximately 14,000 citizens were reached directly. Additionally, printed and online material informed the public about this project. Citizens could transmit data on the target species, accompanied by a photograph, via the web-site of the project or through a dedicated application (app) for smartphones and tablets. All records were validated by experts based on the photographs sent by citizens. A total number of 2,308 records were transmitted and 1,691 (73.2%) of these were confirmed. Most of the reports were submitted via the website, although the submission via the app increased over time. The species most commonly recorded was L. cervus, followed by M. asper/funereus and R. alpina. Data collected by citizen scientists allowed a detailed analysis to be made on altitudinal distribution and phenology of the species and the results obtained were compared with literature data on altitudinal distribution and phenology. For example, for L. cervus, 67% of the records collected were from the altitudinal range 0–400 m a.s.l. Interestingly, the data showed that the phenology of this species changed with altitude

Z njegovo pomočjo podjetja ustvarjajo v povprečju 46 odstotkov svojega prometa in dostopajo do 80 odstotkov potencialnih odjemalcev. Digitalisation has increased the spread of different types of online marketing for B2B companies, including social media marketing. LinkedIn has also become a valuable corporate communication tool for B2B companies, generating on average 46% of their traffic and reaching 80% of potential customers. In the theoretical part of the Master\u27s thesis, we first briefly introduce the basic concepts of traditional and digital marketing communication and social media advertising. The theoretical part is rounded off with a review of the existing literature on the use of LinkedIn as a marketing channel for B2B marketing communication. In the empirical part, we implement the theoretical background in a case study by presenting the LinkedIn profile of a randomly selected B2B company Infinum and by analyzing in more detail the effectiveness of one of its marketing campaigns implemented on LinkedIn. As external observers, we measure the performance factors, namely engagement, company growth in terms of the number of employees and number of new followers. Through the positive correlation between the publication of a marketing campaign and these factors, we aim to present LinkedIn as an effective tool for advertising B2B companies

Children\u27s and young adults\u27 literatures are special parts of literature, since they are written for children and young adults who are different readers than adults. Translation of literary works intended for this audience should therefore be adjusted to the readers\u27 needs. The translator must bear in mind the child\u27s mentality and reading comprehension. Precisely in these two types of literature, the title of a book has a significant meaning as children and young adults often choose to read a certain book on the basis of a title. Therefore, the appellative function of the title is very important, since the author of the literary work and all those involved in the contribution process want to reach as many readers as possible. In this thesis we focused on the functions of the titles and translation strategies used when translating titles. . In the theoretical part of the study we presented a review of scientific literature and described functions of book titles, translation strategies and certain translation-related concepts that are important for our analysis. In the empirical part we analyzed 200 titles of children\u27s and young adults\u27 books and divided them according to the function and strategy. The results of the study showed which functions and translation strategies are most commonly used in the translation of titles of literary works from English to Slovenian language

Sodobnim slovenskim potrošnikom v današnjem času hitra, napredna tehnologija, mediji in globalizacija, omogočajo dostop do velike količine informacij v relativno kratkem času. V nadaljevanju sledi analiza omenjenih dejavnikov na podlagi primarnih podatkov, in sicer anketnega vprašalnika in intervjuja z enim izmed direktorjev podjetja Jagros d.o.o. Le-ti nam pomagajo priti do zaključka, v kolikšni meri teoretično predstavljeni vidiki dejansko prispevajo oziroma vplivajo na izbiro in količino nakupov mesa in mesnih izdelkov pri slovenskih potrošnikih.Today\u27s technology, media and globalization allows modern consumers to access a large amount of informtion in a relatively short time. Because of that, they are becoming more and more aware in various fields. They are paying more attention to a healthy lifestyle (nutrition, food), which is also reflected in their preferences and the purchasing process. A taboo topic in the last decade are different aspects and opinions about meat. How it effects on human health, how harmfulness is livestock production on the environment, and how unethical breeding of livestock has become. In year 2019 Slovenian consumers also heard a lot about unhealthy and poisoned meat from other countries. All of this is reflected in the opinions and preferences of consumers when buying meat. In my degree I will analyze the potential influences on the choice and behavior of Slovenian consumers when buying meat and meat products. The first part presents the theoretical basis of three areas, i.e. veganism or vegetarianism, awareness of healthy nutrition and the influence of the media. The following is an analysing based on primary data, that we will get from a questionnaire and an interview with one of the directors of the company Jagros d.o.o. They will help us to conclude which of the theoretically presented aspects actually contribute to or influence the choice and quantity of purchases of meat and meat products from Slovenian consumers

Slovenia is a transit country though which currents of dangerous cargo traffic is lead. Generally it is not know where this dangerous cargo comes from, where it is headed or how much is there except when driver, vehicle, cargo or documentation are under inspection. Inaccuracy of information about the amount of dangerous traffic unables the provision of actual security. The transport of explosive substances is a very complex process due to a number of regulations which regulate this area. The problem this diploma paper addresses is how to take into consideration all the regulations and put them into practice and at the same time provide a secure transport of explosive substances. The example shows how an actual process of transport takes place, obligations of all parties and the demands of current regulations. This diploma paper also describes vehicles, their equipment, labelling the transport of dangerous materials and the right handling with explosives to keep other people and surroundings safe. In comparison the transport of explosives in Slovenian army is presented and it is described how this kind of transport is different from other dangerous transports. The measurement when vehicles transporting explosive substances are involved in an accident are described and how the police controls the transport of dangerous cargo. The example of an accident involving road tanker explosion in Kenya is presented and as a result of my findings the modernisation of Directives for the transport of explosive substances is suggested
