    ENVELHECIMENTO, SEXUALIDADE E QUALIDADE DE VIDA: revisão da literatura

    Este estudo tem como objetivos verificar a produção de conhecimento, por meio de levantamento bibliográfico, de artigos publicados utilizando os descritores sexualidade, envelhecimento e qualidade de vida; e caracterizar os artigos encontrados em periódicos nacionais e internacionais quanto ao tipo e natureza do estudo, conteúdo abordado, formação profissional, acadêmica, gênero dos autores e local de publicação. Foi realizada uma pesquisa do tipo levantamento bibliográfico, com a leitura exaustiva de artigos na íntegra em português e inglês, realizada em duas etapas, sendo a etapa 1 a pesquisa em Bases Eletrônicas no período de 1997 a 2007, e a etapa 2 o levantamento e análise de periódicos sobre geriatria ou gerontologia disponíveis na Biblioteca Wanda de Aguiar Horta da Escola de Enfermagem da USP no período de 1992 a 2007. Foram encontrados sete artigos em português e 15 em inglês. Dentre os artigos nacionais, 46,4% dos autores são médicos, e 32,1% são psicólogos. Nos artigos em inglês, verificou-se que 47,7% dos autores eram médicos, e 18,1% enfermeiros; e maior diversidade nas profissões referidas pelos autores. Quanto ao gênero nos artigos em português, verificou-se equivalência entre homens e mulheres; e nos artigos em inglês, há predomínio de autoras, com 63,7%. A busca bibliográfica de artigos publicados em português e inglês revelou ainda a escassez de produção de conhecimento relacionada aos descritores em saúde envelhecimento, sexualidade e qualidade de vida

    Acessibilidade aos serviços de saúde e posição dos usuários no espaço social em Salvador, Bahia, 2006: um estudo transversal

    Objective: To analyze the association between social position and access to health services. Methods: Cross-sectional study in selected health units of Salvador, Bahia, Brazil. Pearson's chi-square test and logistic regression were used. Results: 467 users participated, 75.6% did not finish high school; 78.7% had <2 minimum wages; 51.8% had intermediate/qualified occupations. Low income was associated with arriving at the health unit the night before or before 8 am. (odds ratio = 2.09 – 95%IC 1.13;3.87) and spend more time making an appointment (odds ratio = 2.13 – 95%IC 1.05;4.31). Elementary occupation was associated with scheduling with face-to-face appointment scheduling (odds ratio = 1.68 – 95%IC 1.14;2.45). Education and social trajectory showed no significant association with the use of health services. Conclusion: Social inequalities in access to services remained after intervention to improve accessibility.Objetivo: Analisar a associação entre posição social e acesso aos serviços de saúde. Métodos: Estudo transversal em unidades da rede básica de saúde de Salvador, Bahia, Brasil, onde foi implementado um plano para melhorar a acessibilidade. Empregou-se teste qui-quadrado de Pearson e regressão logística. Resultados: Participaram 467 usuários, dos quais 75,6% não concluíram o ensino médio, 78,7% tinham renda inferior a dois salários mínimos e 51,8% exerciam ocupações intermediárias/qualificadas. Renda baixa associou-se a chegar na unidade de saúde na noite anterior ou antes das 8h (odds ratio = 2,09 – IC95% 1,13;3,87) e dispender mais tempo para marcar consulta (odds ratio = 2,13 – IC95% 1,05;4,31). Ocupação elementar associou-se ao agendamento presencial da consulta (odds ratio = 1,68 – IC95% 1,14;2,45). Escolaridade e trajetória social não mostraram associação significante com utilização de serviços de saúde. Conclusão: Permaneceram desigualdades sociais no acesso aos serviços após intervenção para melhoria da acessibilidade

    We describe the Sloan Digital Sky Survey IV (SDSS-IV), a project encompassing three major spectroscopic programs. The Apache Point Observatory Galactic Evolution Experiment 2 (APOGEE-2) is observing hundreds of thousands of Milky Way stars at high resolution and high signal-to-noise ratios in the near-infrared. The Mapping Nearby Galaxies at Apache Point Observatory (MaNGA) survey is obtaining spatially resolved spectroscopy for thousands of nearby galaxies (median ). The extended Baryon Oscillation Spectroscopic Survey (eBOSS) is mapping the galaxy, quasar, and neutral gas distributions between and 3.5 to constrain cosmology using baryon acoustic oscillations, redshift space distortions, and the shape of the power spectrum. Within eBOSS, we are conducting two major subprograms: the SPectroscopic IDentification of eROSITA Sources (SPIDERS), investigating X-ray AGNs and galaxies in X-ray clusters, and the Time Domain Spectroscopic Survey (TDSS), obtaining spectra of variable sources. All programs use the 2.5 m Sloan Foundation Telescope at the Apache Point Observatory; observations there began in Summer 2014. APOGEE-2 also operates a second near-infrared spectrograph at the 2.5 m du Pont Telescope at Las Campanas Observatory, with observations beginning in early 2017. Observations at both facilities are scheduled to continue through 2020. In keeping with previous SDSS policy, SDSS-IV provides regularly scheduled public data releases; the first one, Data Release 13, was made available in 2016 July

    Post-intervention Status in Patients With Refractory Myasthenia Gravis Treated With Eculizumab During REGAIN and Its Open-Label Extension

    OBJECTIVE: To evaluate whether eculizumab helps patients with anti-acetylcholine receptor-positive (AChR+) refractory generalized myasthenia gravis (gMG) achieve the Myasthenia Gravis Foundation of America (MGFA) post-intervention status of minimal manifestations (MM), we assessed patients' status throughout REGAIN (Safety and Efficacy of Eculizumab in AChR+ Refractory Generalized Myasthenia Gravis) and its open-label extension. METHODS: Patients who completed the REGAIN randomized controlled trial and continued into the open-label extension were included in this tertiary endpoint analysis. Patients were assessed for the MGFA post-intervention status of improved, unchanged, worse, MM, and pharmacologic remission at defined time points during REGAIN and through week 130 of the open-label study. RESULTS: A total of 117 patients completed REGAIN and continued into the open-label study (eculizumab/eculizumab: 56; placebo/eculizumab: 61). At week 26 of REGAIN, more eculizumab-treated patients than placebo-treated patients achieved a status of improved (60.7% vs 41.7%) or MM (25.0% vs 13.3%; common OR: 2.3; 95% CI: 1.1-4.5). After 130 weeks of eculizumab treatment, 88.0% of patients achieved improved status and 57.3% of patients achieved MM status. The safety profile of eculizumab was consistent with its known profile and no new safety signals were detected. CONCLUSION: Eculizumab led to rapid and sustained achievement of MM in patients with AChR+ refractory gMG. These findings support the use of eculizumab in this previously difficult-to-treat patient population. CLINICALTRIALSGOV IDENTIFIER: REGAIN, NCT01997229; REGAIN open-label extension, NCT02301624.
