Los ingresos proporcionados por la actividad minera permitieron que este sector se convirtiera en una de las locomotoras del Gobierno Nacional. Pero estos recursos que en algún momento fueron contemplados como un insumo importante para el desarrollo de la Nación, se convirtieron en una de las mayores preocupaciones de los sectores agrícola, industrial, ganadero y hasta del mismo Estado, lo anterior en razón a alguno efectos negativos generados por estos recursos.The revenue provided by mining allowed this sector to become one of the engines of national government. But these resources that were once viewed as an important input for the development of the nation, became one of the major concerns of the agricultural, industrial, livestock and even the same state, due to any negative effects generated by these resources

Estudio de ecosistemas terrestres y acuáticos ubicados en el parque nacional natural cueva de los guácharos (acevedo, huila)

Los estudios realizados durante el tiempo en el que se realizó la salida de campo de la asignatura Ecología Regional Continental del 3 al 17 de septiembre de 2010 permitieron determinar ciertas características y estados de calidad en los sistemas acuáticos y vegetales (bosque subandino) del Parque Nacional Natural Cueva de los Güácharos(PNNCG). Para el estudio limnológico se realizaron muestreos en varios ecosistemas acuáticos: Laguna Encantada, Quebrada Chánchiras, Quebrada La Lindosa, Cascada Cristales, Rí­o Suaza, Cueva de los Guacharos y Cueva del Indio. Se tomaron muestras a de variales fisicoquímicas y de comunidades biológicas (perifiton, plancton, macroinvertebrados). Las aguas de la región son de temperaturas medias y se mineralizan al pasar por el sistema de cuevas; son ligeramente alcalinas y bajas en nutrientes (oligotróficas) y transportan bajas a moderadas cantidades de sólidos suspendidos. Los datos fisicoquímicos que caracterizan a los ecosistemas acuáticos del PNNCG corresponden a sistemas típicos neotropicales, con baja intervención humana y condiciones propias de ambientes cársticos. La materia orgánica aportada por la vegetación riparia y por las macrófitas sustenta diferentes órdenes de macroinvertebrados, siendo los más representativos Diptera, Ephemeroptera, Hemíptera y Trichoptera. El bosque subandino estudiado se encuentra en proceso de desarrollo debido a que presenta una mayor cantidad de arboles del conjunto del futuro; no obstante, el conjunto del presente, aunque en una menor proporción, se encuentra bien establecido. Esto también se puede observar en los mapas de cobertura vegetal del estrato arbóreo, donde el dosel es continuo y solamente se interrumpe por los disturbios ocasionados por la muerte y caída de árboles del conjunto del presente, lo que genera claros en el bosque y permite que los arboles del conjunto del futuro desarrollen su cobertura

The Research Journey as a Challenge Towards New Trends

The academic community of the department of Risaralda, in its permanent interest in evidencing the results of the research processes that are carried out from the Higher Education Institutions and as a product of the VI meeting of researchers of the department of Risaralda held in November 2021 presents its work: “The journey of research as a challenge towards new trends”, which reflects the result of the latest research and advances in different lines of knowledge in Agricultural Sciences, Health Sciences, Social Sciences and Technology and Information Sciences, which seek to solve and meet the demands of the different sectors. Trayectorias de un viaje por la investigación educativa desde el sentipensar de los maestros y maestras : experiencias en desarrollo del programa de pensamiento crítico

428 páginasEste libro reúne 19 experiencias que continúan el acompañamiento en la fundamentación, desarrollo y estructuración de estrategias de tipo pedagógico y didáctico dentro de la ruta sentipensante en el Nivel II: Experiencias en desarrollo. Igualmente, en estas experiencias se hace una ampliación de referentes, técnicas e instrumentos para recoger información de los 19 textos presentados. De tal manera, estas experiencias son fruto de este acompañamiento que ha realizado el Instituto para la Investigación Educativa y el Desarrollo Pedagógico IDEP, que servirán de base y referente para seguir aportando en la configuración y consolidación de comunidades de saber y práctica pedagógica, así como en la conformación de colectivos y redes de maestros y maestras

Treatment with tocilizumab or corticosteroids for COVID-19 patients with hyperinflammatory state: a multicentre cohort study (SAM-COVID-19)

Objectives: The objective of this study was to estimate the association between tocilizumab or corticosteroids and the risk of intubation or death in patients with coronavirus disease 19 (COVID-19) with a hyperinflammatory state according to clinical and laboratory parameters. Methods: A cohort study was performed in 60 Spanish hospitals including 778 patients with COVID-19 and clinical and laboratory data indicative of a hyperinflammatory state. Treatment was mainly with tocilizumab, an intermediate-high dose of corticosteroids (IHDC), a pulse dose of corticosteroids (PDC), combination therapy, or no treatment. Primary outcome was intubation or death; follow-up was 21 days. Propensity score-adjusted estimations using Cox regression (logistic regression if needed) were calculated. Propensity scores were used as confounders, matching variables and for the inverse probability of treatment weights (IPTWs). Results: In all, 88, 117, 78 and 151 patients treated with tocilizumab, IHDC, PDC, and combination therapy, respectively, were compared with 344 untreated patients. The primary endpoint occurred in 10 (11.4%), 27 (23.1%), 12 (15.4%), 40 (25.6%) and 69 (21.1%), respectively. The IPTW-based hazard ratios (odds ratio for combination therapy) for the primary endpoint were 0.32 (95%CI 0.22-0.47; p < 0.001) for tocilizumab, 0.82 (0.71-1.30; p 0.82) for IHDC, 0.61 (0.43-0.86; p 0.006) for PDC, and 1.17 (0.86-1.58; p 0.30) for combination therapy. Other applications of the propensity score provided similar results, but were not significant for PDC. Tocilizumab was also associated with lower hazard of death alone in IPTW analysis (0.07; 0.02-0.17; p < 0.001). Conclusions: Tocilizumab might be useful in COVID-19 patients with a hyperinflammatory state and should be prioritized for randomized trials in this situatio

Acta de congresoEl III Congreso Internacional de Vivienda y Ciudad “Debates en torno a la NUEVa Agenda Urbana”, ha sido una apuesta de alto compromiso por acercar los debates centrales y urgentes que tensionan el pleno ejercicio del derecho a la ciudad. Para ello las instituciones organizadoras (INVIHAB –Instituto de Investigación de Vivienda y Hábitat y MGyDH-Maestría en Gestión y Desarrollo Habitacional-1), hemos convidado un espacio que se concretó con potencia en un debate transdisciplinario. Convocó a intelectuales de prestigio internacional, investigadores, académicos y gestores estatales, y en una metodología de innovación articuló las voces académicas con las de las organizaciones sociales y/o barriales en el Foro de las Organizaciones Sociales que tuvo su espacio propio para dar voz a quienes están trabajando en los desafíos para garantizar los derechos a la vivienda y los bienes urbanos en nuestras ciudades del Siglo XXI

Memorias semana de la Facultad de Educación. VII semana: historias, saberes y prácticas educativas innovadoras e incluyentes.

Las Memorias de la VII Semana de la Educación “Historias, saberes y prácticas educativas innovadoras e incluyentes”, publicadas por la Editorial de la Corporación Universitaria Minuto de Dios – UNIMINUTO, reúnen las ponencias y resúmenes sobre esta temática presentadas en un evento de realización anual, cuyo propósito es socializar experiencias investigativas y académicas de grupos, semilleros de investigación y trabajos de grado entre estudiantes y profesores de la Facultad de Educación, y con profesores y estudiantes de otras instituciones educativas que gentilmente compartieron experiencias en el campo de la educación, la pedagogía, el arte, la cultura y el deporte. El principal interés de este encuentro radica en recoger la construcción histórica educativa de la Corporación Universitaria Minuto de Dios – UNIMINUTO con respecto a sus orígenes y construcciones académicas; y las experiencias históricas de otras propuestas educativas a nivel de la educación infantil, básica, media y superior con tejido cultural y social, desde un enfoque diferencial y diverso en el cual todas las experiencias enriquecen la formación de maestros desde la innovación e inclusión en los diferentes contextos. En este encuentro participaron las universidades Antonio Nariño, de la Amazonia, del Rosario, La Gran Colombia y Pedagógica Nacional, así como la Corporación Escuela Pedagógica Experimental, el Centro Educativo de Nuestra Señora de la Paz, el Instituto Colombo Sueco y varios docentes de la Secretaría de Educación Distrital de Bogotá D. C
