    Trabajo remoto y cumplimiento de objetivos institucionales en un establecimiento penitenciario, Arequipa, 2021

    Esta investigación evaluó la relación entre el trabajo remoto y el cumplimiento de los objetivos institucionales en un establecimiento penitenciario en la ciudad de Arequipa en el año 2021. Se emplearon encuestas como método de recopilación de datos. Los resultados revelaron una relación significativa y positiva entre el trabajo remoto y el cumplimiento de los objetivos institucionales en el contexto penitenciario. Estos hallazgos respaldan la noción de que el trabajo remoto puede ser una modalidad efectiva para lograr los objetivos establecidos por la institución. Al examinar los objetivos específicos de la investigación, se encontró que el horario laboral del trabajo remoto presenta una relación significativa con el cumplimiento de los objetivos institucionales. Esto indica que un horario laboral bien estructurado y flexible está asociado positivamente con un mayor cumplimiento de los objetivos. Estos resultados están en línea con investigaciones previas que resaltan la importancia de un horario laboral adecuado en el contexto del trabajo remoto. Este estudio ha demostrado que el trabajo remoto está positivamente relacionado con el cumplimiento de los objetivos institucionales en un establecimiento penitenciario de Arequipa en el año 2021

    G0W0G_0W_0 Ionization Potentials of First-Row Transition Metal Aqua Ions

    We report computations of the vertical ionization potentials within the GWGW approximation of the near-complete series of first-row transition metal (V-Cu) aqua ions in their most common oxidation states, i.e. V3+^{3+}, Cr3+^{3+}, Cr2+^{2+}, Mn2+^{2+}, Fe3+^{3+}, Fe2+^{2+}, Co2+^{2+}, Ni2+^{2+}, and Cu2+^{2+}. The dd-orbital occupancy of these systems spans a broad range from d2d^2 to d9d^9. All the structures were first optimized at the density functional theory level using a large cluster of explicit water molecules that are embedded in a continuum solvation model. Vertical ionization potentials were computed with the one-shot G0W0G_0W_0 approach on a range of transition metal ion clusters (6, 18, 40, and 60 explicit water molecules) wherein the convergence with respect to the basis set size was evaluated using the systems with 40 water molecules. We assess the results using three different density functional approximations as starting points for the vertical ionization potential calculations, namely G0W0G_0W_0@PBE, G0W0G_0W_0@PBE0, and G0W0G_0W_0@r2^2SCAN. While the predicted ground-state structures are similar with all three exchange-correlation functionals, the vertical ionization potentials were in closer agreement with the experiment when using the G0W0G_0W_0@PBE0 and G0W0G_0W_0@r2^2SCAN approaches, with the r2SCAN based calculations being significantly less expensive. Ante dicha problemática, las teorías de estrategias de plan de marketing de Kotler son de vital importancia, son de vital importancia puesto que dichas teorías tienen como objetivos principal plantear estrategias para desarrollar una imagen renombrada, la ampliación de nuestro mercado y elevar las ventas mediante una comunicación efectiva con el cliente.     Knowledge, Attitudes, and Practices Regarding COVID-19 Among Healthcare Workers in Venezuela:An Online Cross-Sectional Survey

    Background: The deterioration of Venezuela's health system in recent years undoubtedly contributes to an increased impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. Understanding healthcare workers' (HCWs) knowledge, attitudes, and practices (KAPs) toward COVID-19 in the early stages of the pandemic could inform their medical training and improve their preparedness. Methods: A online national cross-sectional survey was conducted between May 26th and May 30th, 2020, to assess KAPs among HCWs in Venezuela. Results: A total of 1,441 HCWs from all 24 regions of the country responded to the survey. The mean age of the HCWs was 44 (SD [standard deviation] 14) years; most were women (66.4%). Most HCWs were specialized doctors (48%), followed by nurses (13%) and resident doctors (12.3%). The majority of HCWs had good knowledge (76.3%), obtained information mainly from scientific literature (85.4%); had negative attitudes (53.6%), felt uncomfortable with their work during the current pandemic (59.8%); and reported appropriate practices (76.9%). However, participation in COVID-19 related training was absent in more than half of the HCWs. Positive attitudes were significantly more frequent in frontline workers than in non-frontline workers (p = 0.001). Bioanalysts, students, and doctors were more likely to have good knowledge; participating in training was a predictor for positive attitudes and older age was an appropriate practice predictor. Conclusions: HCWs, knowledge in Venezuela could be improved by strengthening education and training programs. Strategies should focus on reducing fear and improving attitudes toward the care of COVID-19 patients, as well as the promotion of preventive practices

    Antimicrobial resistance among migrants in Europe: a systematic review and meta-analysis

    BACKGROUND: Rates of antimicrobial resistance (AMR) are rising globally and there is concern that increased migration is contributing to the burden of antibiotic resistance in Europe. However, the effect of migration on the burden of AMR in Europe has not yet been comprehensively examined. Therefore, we did a systematic review and meta-analysis to identify and synthesise data for AMR carriage or infection in migrants to Europe to examine differences in patterns of AMR across migrant groups and in different settings. METHODS: For this systematic review and meta-analysis, we searched MEDLINE, Embase, PubMed, and Scopus with no language restrictions from Jan 1, 2000, to Jan 18, 2017, for primary data from observational studies reporting antibacterial resistance in common bacterial pathogens among migrants to 21 European Union-15 and European Economic Area countries. To be eligible for inclusion, studies had to report data on carriage or infection with laboratory-confirmed antibiotic-resistant organisms in migrant populations. We extracted data from eligible studies and assessed quality using piloted, standardised forms. We did not examine drug resistance in tuberculosis and excluded articles solely reporting on this parameter. We also excluded articles in which migrant status was determined by ethnicity, country of birth of participants' parents, or was not defined, and articles in which data were not disaggregated by migrant status. Outcomes were carriage of or infection with antibiotic-resistant organisms. We used random-effects models to calculate the pooled prevalence of each outcome. The study protocol is registered with PROSPERO, number CRD42016043681. FINDINGS: We identified 2274 articles, of which 23 observational studies reporting on antibiotic resistance in 2319 migrants were included. The pooled prevalence of any AMR carriage or AMR infection in migrants was 25·4% (95% CI 19·1-31·8; I2 =98%), including meticillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (7·8%, 4·8-10·7; I2 =92%) and antibiotic-resistant Gram-negative bacteria (27·2%, 17·6-36·8; I2 =94%). The pooled prevalence of any AMR carriage or infection was higher in refugees and asylum seekers (33·0%, 18·3-47·6; I2 =98%) than in other migrant groups (6·6%, 1·8-11·3; I2 =92%). The pooled prevalence of antibiotic-resistant organisms was slightly higher in high-migrant community settings (33·1%, 11·1-55·1; I2 =96%) than in migrants in hospitals (24·3%, 16·1-32·6; I2 =98%). We did not find evidence of high rates of transmission of AMR from migrant to host populations. INTERPRETATION: Migrants are exposed to conditions favouring the emergence of drug resistance during transit and in host countries in Europe. Increased antibiotic resistance among refugees and asylum seekers and in high-migrant community settings (such as refugee camps and detention facilities) highlights the need for improved living conditions, access to health care, and initiatives to facilitate detection of and appropriate high-quality treatment for antibiotic-resistant infections during transit and in host countries. Protocols for the prevention and control of infection and for antibiotic surveillance need to be integrated in all aspects of health care, which should be accessible for all migrant groups, and should target determinants of AMR before, during, and after migration.
