Could facebook marketing hurt the image of a company? : A study in how young Swedes perceive facebook marketing

Bakgrund Fler och fler företag väljer att annonsera sitt varumärke på facebook eftersom det är ett billigt alternativ till annan annonsering. Dessutom är det lättare att nå ut till sin målgrupp då annonserna är riktade. Syfte  Ambitionen med denna studie är att ta reda på om facebook verkligen är rätt forum för alla sorts varumärken. Huvudsyftet för denna uppsats lyder:  Hur ser unga facebookanvändare på företag som annonserar på facebook? Teori Undersökningen tar sin grund i logisk positivism. Jag stödjer även uppsatsen på grundläggande marknadsföringsteorier, övervakningsteorier och teorier om hur man bygger upp ett trovärdigt varumärke. Metod Resultatet av studien baseras på en surveyundersökning med frågor som berör ämnet undersökningen fick totalt 88 respondenter. Resultat Ur undersökningen kom det fram att en del branscher, så som sjukvård inte ansågs höra hemma på facebook. Detta eftersom facebook inte ansågs vara ett tillräckligt förtroendeingivande medium för att koppas ihop med dessa varumärken på ett behagligt sätt.Background More and more companies choose to use facebook as a channel for marketing since it is a cheap alternative for other types of marketing. Furthermore, it is an easy way to reach the right target since the ads are aimed. Purpose The ambition with this study is to figure out whether facebook really is the right forum for all kinds of brands. The main purpose of this thesis reads: How do young facebook users view companies that put ads on facebook? Theory The study is based on logical positivism. I also support the thesis on basic marketing theories, surveillance studies and theories on how to build a brand with credibility. Method The result of the study is based on a survey with 88 respondents. Results From the study it can be read that some branches, such as medical care, were not believed to belong on facebook. This is because facebook was not considered a trustworthy medium enough to be connected with this kind of brands in a pleasant manner

Det utvidgade klassrummet : Kan utomhusundervisning bidra till att elever i årskurs tre får en bättre förståelse och mer kunskap av enklare matematiska begrepp i jämförelse med undervisning inomhus?

Matematik är ett av skolans kärnämnen och en mycket viktig del av barns utbildning. Hur undervisning av det här ämnet och all annan undervisning ska utformas har varit och är under ständig omprövning. Att flytta ut undervisningen utomhus finns det många positiva röster för, men ger det verkligen ett bättre läranderesultat än om undervisning sker inomhus?   Vår undersökning är av jämförande karaktär och utgår från ett elevperspektiv och som är enligt vår uppfattning unik i Sverige. Vi har testat hur mycket två elevgrupper som tillsammans är 30 stycken elever och går i årskurs tre, lärt sig under utomhus- respektive inomhuslektioner. Vårt resultat visar tvärtemot våra förväntningar att eleverna i de båda oberoende elevgrupperna lärde sig det utvalda lärandeobjektet bättre inomhus än utomhus. Vi vill inte förringa vår egen undersökning då avsikten fanns att spegla skolans verklighet, men studiens största svaghet är att eleverna som medverkade var vad vi vill kalla inomhusbarn, det vill säga att de inte var vana vid utomhusmiljön.   Ämnesord: Matematik, utomhusmatematik, utomhuspedagogik, årskurs tre

Multiculturalism in Swedish childrens literature?

The purpose of our master thesis was to investigate how a multicultural society is reflected in childrens books picture books, books for children and young people, published in 2002. We found this issue interesting since children of today experience a change in society, where people of many ethnicities, cultures and religions live together to a greater extent than before. Since children in their everyday life are exposed to these different cultures, we think they also should be exposed to them in the books they read. In order to enhance an understanding of why such books are important to children, especially immigrant children, we have in our thesis included a passage with childrens linguistic development, identification and stereotypes. Other passages concern libraries and their roles in a multicultural society. We also give a brief background to how Sweden has become a multicultural society and how this society looks today. While reading the books we sorted them according to a schedule in order to see what aspects of the books made them multicultural. We found that 60 of the books reflected a multicultural society but there was a large difference between multicultural picture books only two and books for young people as many as 47. Moreover, the multicultural books mostly represented more than one ethnicity. The results of our investigation emphasises the importance, for libraries, to marketing these kinds of books. Use of dry powder inhalers in acute exacerbations of asthma and COPD

To investigate whether dry powder inhalers (DPIs) function in a constrained situation, a literature analysis was performed to evaluate the use of DPIs compared with established therapies in the treatment of acute asthma and COPD, irrespective of rapid-acting β 2 -agonist used. The external databases Medline, Embase, Biosis and Current Contents and AstraZeneca's internal literature database Planet were searched up to April 2008. Only publications or congress abstracts describing clinical trials in patients treated at EDs or hospitals were considered, and then only those in which exacerbation severity (measured as FEV 1 ) were included. Fifteen clinical studies met these criteria; twelve in acute asthma and three in acute COPD. For acute asthma, eight studies were double-blind, randomised studies (six in adults and two in children), two were open-label studies (one in adults and one in children), and two were investigational (methacholine challenge) studies. For the acute COPD studies, one was double-blind and randomised, one was single-blind and randomised, and one was open-label. This review found that administration of fast-acting bronchodilators via DPIs, the majority of which were Turbuhaler, is effective during an asthma or COPD worsening. Our literature review finds that DPIs function in patients with acute asthma or COPD equally well as established therapies with other inhaler devices. Patients can therefore rely upon DPIs in the same way that they rely upon other inhaler devices

Do airway clearance mechanisms influence the local and systemic effects of inhaled corticosteroids?

The role of airway clearance in inhaled drug therapy is complex. Disease-induced bronchoconstriction results in a central drug-deposition pattern where mucociliary clearance is most efficient. When drug-induced bronchodilation is achieved, deposition and uptake becomes more peripheral, and because there is less mucociliary clearance in the periphery, this will lead to an unintentional increase in lung exposure and enhance the risk of systemic side effects. In addition, mucociliary clearance is pathologically reduced in both asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. Among inhaled corticosteroids, rate of dissolution and lung uptake differs considerably. For the slowly dissolving, lipophilic steroids, the contribution of mucociliary clearance to these findings appears significant, and variability in lung and systemic exposure resulting from variable mucociliary function appears to be amplified. In addition, dose optimisation of non-stable asthma becomes more complex. The present review highlights the impact of mucociliary clearance on inhaled corticosteroid disposition and identifies critical areas where more research is needed

I ett samhälle där allt fler medborgare utbildar och vidareutbildar sig är flexibel utbildning ett sätt för lärosätena att ta emot fler studenter. De flesta lärosäten i landet arbetar i någon form med flexibel utbildning; vissa lärosäten har det som profilering medan verksamheten på andra håll har en mer blygsam omfattning, eller inte alls. Väljer man att arbeta med flexibel utbildning påverkar det lärosätet i många delar; ledarskap, kvalitetsarbete, pedagogik, studentservice, administration och inte minst informationsförsörjningen och därmed biblioteksverksamheten
