Comparison of niobium to other radiopacifying agents in endodontic cements: A Systematic Review of in vitro and in vivo studies

    No full text
As of the current moment, no systematic comparative review has been identified between the chemical element niobium and other radiopaque substances when incorporated into formulations of endodontic cements and reparative cements. Additionally, no prior records of protocols related to this topic have been found in the scientific literature. Consequently, this study holds the potential to serve as a valuable guide for future clinical guidelines related to the use of niobium as a radiopaque agent in endodontic cements. It's worth noting that the current registration has been submitted and recorded on the Open Science Framework (OSF) due to its scope encompassing a systematic review of in vivo studies investigating niobium and other radiopaque substances in formulations of endodontic cements and/or reparative cements. The protocol for this systematic review adheres to the guidelines outlined by PRISMA-P for systematic review protocols. For a comprehensive description of all the steps to be undertaken within the scope of this systematic review, we refer the reader to the supplementary material, which provides a more detailed exposition
