Then, sports activities are classified according to their nature and interested groups. This classification, furtherly contributed to examine which types of sports are accepted as official and commonly provided to students in universities. Under this initial information, adequate spatial requirements and capacities for sports facilitie relative to the population sizes in campus areas are examined with respect to examples of universities from foreign countries and Turkey. Moreover, official standards for World University sports competitions are presented to understand spatial and organizational requirements needed for the sports facilities. It allowed generating the design guidelines and dimensional standards for planning of purposed sports facilities, which are implementedin the case study area at the final step ofthe research. Initial studies before the design process of the project showed that, sp0l1s facilities in majority of Campus Universities do not only respond to recreational use of students in their spare tinle but also respond to competitive activities and multi-level events as well. Because of this result, it is aimed in the final project that how sports facilities in IZTECH campus designed most effectively with respect to the standards of world university sports competitions which is the best event for guiding the design process of such a project

Eosinophilic esophagitis is an inflammatory condition of esophagus. It is generally seen in childhood and young population. Men are more commonly affected than women. However, it is not common in an advanced age. Eosinophilic esophagitis decreases the ability of the esophagus to stretch and accommodation against foods. Therefore, the major symptom in adults with eosinophilic esophagitis is difficulty in swallowing solid food (dysphagia). Specifically, the food gets stuck in the esophagus after it is swallowed. Less common symptoms include heartburn and chest pain. Because of this, it may be incorrectly diagnosed as a gastroesophageal reflux disease. Here, we reported a case presented with food impaction at advanced age. As a conclusion, eosinophilic esophagitis is a rare entity that must be remembered in advance aged patients presenting with food impaction

Culinary culture is a tradition of food and beverage in the cooking and consumption process of food in different societies and it is all of the traditions consisting of beliefs and practices developed within this scope. BackgroundMigraine without aura (MwoA) is a very frequent and remarkable comorbidity in patients with idiopathic/genetic epilepsy (I/GE). Frequently in clinical practice, diagnosis of MwoA may be challenging despite the guidance of current diagnostic criteria of the International Classification of Headache Disorders 3 (ICHD-3). In this study, we aimed to disclose the diagnostic gaps in the diagnosis of comorbid MwoA, using a zone concept, in patients with I/GEs with headaches who were diagnosed by an experienced headache expert.MethodsIn this multicenter study including 809 consecutive patients with a diagnosis of I/GE with or without headache, 163 patients who were diagnosed by an experienced headache expert as having a comorbid MwoA were reevaluated. Eligible patients were divided into three subgroups, namely, full diagnosis, zone I, and zone II according to their status of fulfilling the ICHD-3 criteria. A Classification and Regression Tree (CART) analysis was performed to bring out the meaningful predictors when evaluating patients with I/GEs for MwoA comorbidity, using the variables that were significant in the univariate analysis.ResultsLonger headache duration (<4 h) followed by throbbing pain, higher visual analog scale (VAS) scores, increase of pain by physical activity, nausea/vomiting, and photophobia and/or phonophobia are the main distinguishing clinical characteristics of comorbid MwoA in patients with I/GE, for being classified in the full diagnosis group. Despite being not a part of the main ICHD-3 criteria, the presence of associated symptoms mainly osmophobia and also vertigo/dizziness had the distinguishing capability of being classified into zone subgroups. The most common epilepsy syndromes fulfilling full diagnosis criteria (n = 62) in the CART analysis were 48.39% Juvenile myoclonic epilepsy followed by 25.81% epilepsy with generalized tonic-clonic seizures alone.ConclusionLonger headache duration, throbbing pain, increase of pain by physical activity, photophobia and/or phonophobia, presence of vertigo/dizziness, osmophobia, and higher VAS scores are the main supportive associated factors when applying the ICHD-3 criteria for the comorbid MwoA diagnosis in patients with I/GEs. Evaluating these characteristics could be helpful to close the diagnostic gaps in everyday clinical practice and fasten the diagnostic process of comorbid MwoA in patients with I/GEs

YÖK Tez No: 412771Menopoz, kadınlarda üremenin sona erdiği dönemdir. Menopause is a period in which fertility of a woman ends. The reciprocally removal of ovaries is called as surgical menopause. On the other hand, natural menopause is the period seen in women averagely at the age of 45-55. Ovary period in women does not occur as a result of becoming unfunctional by getting older and so fertility ends. Initiating with menopause, lots of hormone levels in women start decreasing. This situation effects the quality of sleep negatively at the same time resulting in vasomotor symptoms. In current study, it was aimed that revealing sleep disorders of menopausal women first subjectively then objectively and understanding effect on sleep quality more clearly and obtained data we found to use for further studies. This study included patients giving consent form and diagnosed with menopause in outpatient polyclinics of gynecology and obstetrics. After saving all participants' sociodemographic attributes and data related to menopausal period, subjective sleep quality evaluation was done by conducting Pittsburg Sleep Quality Index questionnaire by using face to face method. After grading PSQI forms, the patients whose sleep quality showed signs of impair were called to clinics and polysomnography which is an noninvasive technic was conducted in our sleep labs so that sleep quality disorders was examined objectively. In terms of continuous variables on comparison of groups, depends on data dispensation model, either independent samples T test or Mann-Whitney U test was used. On analysis categorical data, either Chi-Square test or Fisher's Exact test was used. In our study, PSG was conducted on 17 of patient whose PSQI score were significant and 11 of them were diagnosed with OSAS. In addition to this result, it was seen that patients had extended Non-Rem 1 duration, while REM duration diminised. We concluded that patients' REM latency lprolonged and sleep efficiency decreased. Comparison between smoker and non-smoker in terms of PSQI score, high PSQI score was significant. Smokers are more complainant about sleep pattern than non-smoker. In conclusion; further studies to be conducted in accordance with data obtained from our study, positive results of improving quality of sleep studies by taking place in literature, the patients will have restful and effective sleep by physiologically and mentally, and so they will have better life quality
