Hemispheric processing of vocal emblem sounds
Vocal emblems, such as shh and brr, are speech sounds that have linguistic and nonlinguistic features; thus, it is unclear how they are processed in the brain. Five adult dextral individuals with left-brain damage and moderate– severe Wernicke’s aphasia, five adult dextral individuals with right-brain damage, and five Controls participated in two tasks: (1) matching vocal emblems to photographs (‘picture task’) and (2) matching vocal emblems to verbal translations (‘phrase task’). Cross-group statistical analyses on items on which the Controls performed at ceiling revealed lower accuracy by the group with left-brain damage (than by Controls) on both tasks, and lower accuracy by the group with right-brain damage (than by Controls) on the picture task. Additionally, the group with left-brain damage performed significantly less accurately than the group with right-brain damage on the phrase task only. Findings suggest that comprehension of vocal emblems recruits more left- than right-hemisphere processing
Histological description of the larval development of Brycon gouldingi Lima, 2004 (Teleostei, Characidae)
Piabanha, Brycon gouldingi, is an endemic species in the Tocantins-Araguaia basin. It has aroused the interest of both fish farmers, who started its creation in confinement, and riverine people who appreciate it as a food source. In order to provide information about organic systems of B. gouldingi larvae, a histological description was performed after capturing adult specimens in the Rio das Mortes (Mato Grosso, Brazil), adapted to captivity and induced to spawn at Buriti Fisheries (Nova Mutum, MT, Brazil). The collection of samples took place at pre-defined moments after hatching, and the processes relating to morphological differentiation of digestive, excretory, cardiorespiratory, nervous/sensory systems and gas bladder were characterized. At the hatching were found: undifferentiated digestive system; pronephros (primitive kidney), rudimentary heart, central nervous system characterized by primary vesicles, optic vesicle forming the optic cup and crystalline lens. In the course of ontogeny, these organic systems were developed and at the time of the total absorption of the yolk at 55 hours post-hatching were found: the digestive system consisting of the head gut, foregut, midgut and hindgut; two heart chambers and branching of gill arches; three regions of the brain (forebrain, midbrain and hindbrain), neuromasts, olfactory cavity, taste buds; eye consisting of well-defined layers; presence of gas bladder. The results of this study may be useful in providing support for the captive breeding of B. gouldingi during the larval stage
A szerzők tanulmánya a digitális átalakulás, a vevőkapcsolatok és a szolgálatosodás összefüggéseit járja körbe, mindezt hazai környezetben, a szerződéses gyártás kontextusában. A digitális átalakulást egy fejlődési folyamatként vizsgálja a szerződéses gyártók és vevőik közötti szervezetközi kapcsolatokban, interaktív megközelítésben. Kvalitatív, egy esetet feldolgozó esettanulmány módszerét használták. A digitális átalakulási folyamat különböző összetevőit azonosították,
A TANULMÁNY CÉLJA
Továbbá, vajon a vevőkapcsolatok befolyásolják-e a digitalizációt? Tanulmányunk célja, hogy a szerződéses gyártás területén feltárja
a digitalizálás és a vevőkapcsolatok közötti összefüggéseket. Feltáró kutatásunkban két kutatási kérdésre
keressük a választ: 1) Milyen hatással van a digitalizáció a vevőkapcsolatokra? 2) Hogyan befolyásolják a
vevőkapcsolatok a digitalizációt?
Marketing and Purchasing (IMP) Group megközelítésével, az üzleti kapcsolatok funkcióin keresztül elemeztük.
HR egyik fontos feladata a munkaerő „digitális átállítása”.
jelenti a digitális megoldások kulcskérdését.
GYAKORLATI JAVASLATOK
össze tudják hangolni a vállalati célokat a vevői elvárásokkal a megfelelő digitális megoldásokat alkalmazva.

Examining the Factor Structure of the Self-Report of Psychopathy Short-Form Across Four Young Adult Samples
Psychopathy refers to a range of complex behaviors and personality traits, including callousness and antisocial behavior,
typically studied in criminal populations. Recent studies have used self-reports to examine psychopathic traits among
noncriminal samples. The goal of the current study was to examine the underlying factor structure of the Self-Report
of Psychopathy Scale–Short Form (SRP-SF) across complementary samples and examine the impact of gender on factor
structure. We examined the structure of the SRP-SF among 2,554 young adults from three undergraduate samples and a
high-risk young adult sample. Using confirmatory factor analysis, a four-correlated factor model and a four-bifactor model
showed good fit to the data. Evidence of weak invariance was found for both models across gender. These findings highlight
that the SRP-SF is a useful measure of low-level psychopathic traits in noncriminal samples, although the underlying factor
structure may not fully translate across men and women
Unconditionally secure digital signatures implemented in an eight-user quantum network
The ability to know and verifiably demonstrate the origins of messages can often be as important as encrypting the message itself. Here we present an experimental demonstration of an unconditionally secure digital signature (USS) protocol implemented for the first time, to the best of our knowledge, on a fully connected quantum network without trusted nodes. We choose a USS protocol which is secure against forging, repudiation and messages are transferrable. We show the feasibility of unconditionally secure signatures using only bi-partite entangled states distributed throughout the network and experimentally evaluate the performance of the protocol in real world scenarios with varying message lengths
Dynamic changes in genomic and social structures in third millennium BCE central Europe
Europe’s prehistory oversaw dynamic and complex interactions of diverse societies, hitherto unexplored at detailed regional scales. Studying 271 human genomes dated ~4900 to 1600 BCE from the European heartland, Bohemia, we reveal unprecedented genetic changes and social processes. Major migrations preceded the arrival of “steppe” ancestry, and at ~2800 BCE, three genetically and culturally differentiated groups coexisted. Corded Ware appeared by 2900 BCE, were initially genetically diverse, did not derive all steppe ancestry from known Yamnaya, and assimilated females of diverse backgrounds. Both Corded Ware and Bell Beaker groups underwent dynamic changes, involving sharp reductions and complete replacements of Y-chromosomal diversity at ~2600 and ~2400 BCE, respectively, the latter accompanied by increased Neolithic-like ancestry. The Bronze Age saw new social organization emerge amid a ≥40% population turnover.Peer reviewe
Decoding Warburg's hypothesis: tumor-related mutations in the mitochondrial respiratory chain
Otto Warburg observed that cancer cells derived their energy from aerobic glycolysis by converting glucose to lactate. This mechanism is in opposition to the higher energy requirements of cancer cells because oxidative phosphorylation (OxPhos) produces more ATP from glucose. Warburg hypothesized that this phenomenon occurs due to the malfunction of mitochondria in cancer cells. The rediscovery of Warburg's hypothesis coincided with the discovery of mitochondrial tumor suppressor genes that may conform to Warburg's hypothesis along with the demonstrated negative impact of HIF-1 on PDH activity and the activation of HIF-1 by oncogenic signals such as activated AKT. This work summarizes the alterations in mitochondrial respiratory chain proteins that have been identified and their involvement in cancer. Also discussed is the fact that most of the mitochondrial mutations have been found in homoplasmy, indicating a positive selection during tumor evolution, thereby supporting their causal role.España, Ministerio de Economía y Competitividad PI12/00137España, Ministerio de Economía y Competitividad PI15/00045España, Ministerio de Economía y Competitividad RD12/0036/0028Unión Europea, Consejería de Ciencia e Innovación CTS-6844Unión Europea, Consejería de Ciencia e Innovación CTS-1848España, Junta de Andalucía,Consejería de Salud PI-0135-2010España, Junta de Andalucía,Consejería de Salud PI-0306-2012España, Junta de Andalucía,Consejería de Salud PI-0096-201

Homozygous DBF4 mutation as a cause for severe congenital neutropenia
Background
Severe congenital neutropenia presents with recurrent infections early in life due to arrested granulopoiesis. Multiple genetic defects are known to block granulocyte differentiation, however a genetic cause remains unknown in approximately 40% of cases.
Objective
We aimed to characterize a patient with severe congenital neutropenia and syndromic features without a genetic diagnosis. METHODS: Whole exome sequencing results were validated using flow cytometry, Western blotting, co-immunoprecipitation, quantitative PCR, cell cycle and proliferation analysis of lymphocytes and fibroblasts and granulocytic differentiation of primary CD34+ and HL-60 cells.
Results
We identified a homozygous missense mutation in DBF4 in a patient with mild extra-uterine growth retardation, facial dysmorphism and severe congenital neutropenia. DBF4 is the regulatory subunit of the CDC7 kinase, together known as DBF4-dependent kinase (DDK), the complex essential for DNA replication initiation. The variant allele demonstrated impaired ability to bind CDC7, resulting in decreased DDK-mediated phosphorylation, defective S phase entry and progression and impaired differentiation of granulocytes associated with activation of the p53-p21 pathway. The introduction of WT DBF4 into patient CD34+ cells rescued the promyelocyte differentiation arrest.
Conclusion
Hypomorphic DBF4 mutation causes autosomal recessive severe congenital neutropenia with syndromic features
