Adoção de Cloud Computing nas organizações: uma análise bibliométrica desta tecnologia no contexto da transformação digital

Purpose: The purpose of this study is identify and analyze articles on the adoption of Cloud Computing services in the business field. The study intends to demonstrate the increasing relevance and impact of Cloud Computing technology on business processes.Design/methodology/approach: The study adopted a Bibliometric Review methodology to collect and analyze data. A total of 1,330 articles were collected from the Scopus (Elsevier) database, and various aspects such as authors, journals, and countries were considered. The analysis includes the use of maps to visualize the co-occurrence of terms, co-citation of references, and bibliographic coupling.Findings: The investigation reveals that the adoption of Cloud Computing services in the business environment is a rapidly growing area of research. The study provides an overview of the theme and highlights the significance of Cloud Computing technology in enhancing business processes’ efficiency.Research limitations/implications: The study’s limitations include relying solely on articles available in the Scopus (Elsevier) database and focusing on the period between 2008 and 2020. Future research can expand the analysis by including a broader range of databases and considering a more recent timeframe.Practical implications: The findings of this study have practical implications for businesses, as they highlight the benefits of adopting Cloud Computing services. The technology offers low cost and flexible use, contributing to increased efficiency in business processes.Social implications: The adoption of Cloud Computing services can have significant social impacts by enabling businesses to provide enhanced value to their clients. The technology’s efficiency and flexibility contribute to improved service delivery and customer satisfaction.Originality/value: This study contributes to the advancement of knowledge in the field of Cloud Computing adoption in the business field. The bibliometric analysis provides a comprehensive overview of the research landscape and highlights the key contributions and trends in this area.Finalidade: O objetivo deste estudo é identificar e analisar artigos sobre a adoção de serviços de computação em nuvem na área empresarial. O estudo pretende demonstrar a crescente relevância e impacto da tecnologia Cloud Computing nos processos de negócio. Constatações: A investigação revela que a adoção de serviços de computação em nuvem no ambiente de negócios é uma área de pesquisa em rápido crescimento. O estudo oferece uma visão geral sobre o tema e destaca a importância da tecnologia Cloud Computing na melhoria da eficiência dos processos de negócios. Limitações/implicações de pesquisa: As limitações do estudo se apresentam na utilização de somente artigos disponíveis na base de dados Scopus (Elsevier) e em focar no período entre 2008 e 2020. Pesquisas futuras podem expandir a análise incluindo uma gama mais ampla de bases de dados e considerar um período de tempo mais recente. Implicações práticas: Os achados deste estudo têm implicações práticas para as empresas, pois destacam os benefícios da adoção de serviços de computação em nuvem. A tecnologia oferece baixo custo e flexibilidade de uso, contribuindo para o aumento da eficiência nos processos de negócios. Implicações sociais: A adoção de serviços de computação em nuvem pode ter impactos sociais significativos, permitindo que as empresas forneçam maior valor aos seus clientes. A eficiência e a flexibilidade da tecnologia contribuem para melhorar a prestação de serviços e a satisfação do cliente. RESPONSABILIDADE DO AUDITOR INDEPENDENTE NA DETECÇÃO DE FRAUDES: A VISÃO DA SOCIEDADE

A auditoria é um conjunto de procedimentos contábeis com a finalidade de efetuar uma revisão das demonstrações contábeis, atestando sua conformidade com as normas e práticas adotadas no Brasil. A opinião do auditor independe quanto à conformidade dos números gera segurança para investidores e usuários da informação contábil em geral. Diversos riscos devem ser considerados no planejamento do trabalho de auditoria, entre eles o risco de fraude, cada vez mais comum em grandes companhias. O presente trabalho busca entender a percepção da população quanto ao papel do auditor no controle e detecção de fraudes. Os resultados da aplicação de questionários mostram que 62% dos respondentes acreditam que o auditor tem responsabilidade pela elaboração das demonstrações contábeis, e 83% acreditam em uma responsabilidade moderada, parcial ou indireta. Além disso, 60% dos respondentes atribuem aos auditores independentes a responsabilidade pela detecção de fraudes contábeis

AVON TA ON: UMA ANÁLISE DE DESEMPENHO FINANCEIRO E DOS INVESTIMENTOS EM MARKETING NO SETOR DE COSMÉTICO

O setor de cosmético tem crescido nos últimos anos de maneira expressiva muito em função dos investimentos que as empresas têm feito em marketing. O objeto do presente artigo é analisar os principais indicadores financeiros do Grupo Natura após a aquisição da empresa Avon e os seus grandes investimentos em marketing entre os anos de 2019 e 2021. Para isso, foi realizada uma pesquisa de abordagem quantitativa, que consiste em coleta de dados concretos e quantificáveis por meio dos demonstrativos financeiros da empresa, fazendo uso de uma pesquisa exploratória de materiais disponibilizados pela própria instituição. Foram analisados os indicadores de liquidez, endividamento e rentabilidade do Grupo Natura, pois são ferramentas muito importantes que traduzem a capacidade de uma empresa de liquidar suas obrigações com terceiros, o endividamento que ela tem no curto e no longo prazo e a rentabilidade dos capitais investidos, respectivamente. Identificou-se que o Grupo Natura, após aquisição da Avon apresentou liquidez razoável, bom endividamento e alta rentabilidade

DIALÉTICA ENTRE A PRODUÇÃO E O CONSUMO: uma análise histórica das mudanças ideológicas e a ascensão do consumo sustentável

Os grandes avanços tecnológicos e as transformações ocorridas nas esferas social, cultural e econômica entre os séculos XVIII e XXI com o advento da globalização foram responsáveis por alterar consideravelmente as estruturas, modelos e ideologias até então vigentes e influenciar diretamente nos hábitos e comportamentos de consumo da população mundial. Com isso, identificar e analisar tais mudanças podem trazer informações valiosas para o desenvolvimento econômico e social com foco nas gerações futuras. Através de uma revisão da literatura clássica, o objetivo do presente trabalho foi apresentar um panorama histórico das mudanças ocorridas ao longo do tempo na forma de produzir e consumir, além de analisar alguns pontos relativos à ascensão do consumo sustentável, bem como os sujeitos integrantes desse fenômeno

Brazilian Flora 2020: Leveraging the power of a collaborative scientific network

International audienceThe shortage of reliable primary taxonomic data limits the description of biological taxa and the understanding of biodiversity patterns and processes, complicating biogeographical, ecological, and evolutionary studies. This deficit creates a significant taxonomic impediment to biodiversity research and conservation planning. The taxonomic impediment and the biodiversity crisis are widely recognized, highlighting the urgent need for reliable taxonomic data. Over the past decade, numerous countries worldwide have devoted considerable effort to Target 1 of the Global Strategy for Plant Conservation (GSPC), which called for the preparation of a working list of all known plant species by 2010 and an online world Flora by 2020. Brazil is a megadiverse country, home to more of the world's known plant species than any other country. Despite that, Flora Brasiliensis, concluded in 1906, was the last comprehensive treatment of the Brazilian flora. The lack of accurate estimates of the number of species of algae, fungi, and plants occurring in Brazil contributes to the prevailing taxonomic impediment and delays progress towards the GSPC targets. Over the past 12 years, a legion of taxonomists motivated to meet Target 1 of the GSPC, worked together to gather and integrate knowledge on the algal, plant, and fungal diversity of Brazil. Overall, a team of about 980 taxonomists joined efforts in a highly collaborative project that used cybertaxonomy to prepare an updated Flora of Brazil, showing the power of scientific collaboration to reach ambitious goals. This paper presents an overview of the Brazilian Flora 2020 and provides taxonomic and spatial updates on the algae, fungi, and plants found in one of the world's most biodiverse countries. We further identify collection gaps and summarize future goals that extend beyond 2020. Our results show that Brazil is home to 46,975 native species of algae, fungi, and plants, of which 19,669 are endemic to the country. The data compiled to date suggests that the Atlantic Rainforest might be the most diverse Brazilian domain for all plant groups except gymnosperms, which are most diverse in the Amazon. However, scientific knowledge of Brazilian diversity is still unequally distributed, with the Atlantic Rainforest and the Cerrado being the most intensively sampled and studied biomes in the country. In times of “scientific reductionism”, with botanical and mycological sciences suffering pervasive depreciation in recent decades, the first online Flora of Brazil 2020 significantly enhanced the quality and quantity of taxonomic data available for algae, fungi, and plants from Brazil. This project also made all the information freely available online, providing a firm foundation for future research and for the management, conservation, and sustainable use of the Brazilian funga and flora

Characterisation of microbial attack on archaeological bone

As part of an EU funded project to investigate the factors influencing bone preservation in the archaeological record, more than 250 bones from 41 archaeological sites in five countries spanning four climatic regions were studied for diagenetic alteration. Sites were selected to cover a range of environmental conditions and archaeological contexts. Microscopic and physical (mercury intrusion porosimetry) analyses of these bones revealed that the majority (68%) had suffered microbial attack. Furthermore, significant differences were found between animal and human bone in both the state of preservation and the type of microbial attack present. These differences in preservation might result from differences in early taphonomy of the bones. © 2003 Elsevier Science Ltd. All rights reserved
