Notas sobre la noción de salud y la reflexión cultural en la psicología

This article initially intends to display an abstract of diverse theorical positions concerning the health notion in its relation to the idea of sickness within long term psychological practice. Secondly, the analysis is directed to the reflection and psychological practice of several socio-cultural categories concerning health promotion emerged from current professional practice. Finally, the reflection is headed towards the culture-subjectivity plexum and its acting –throughout life style and interpersonal relationships- in the configuration of healthy and unhealthy situations and simoultaneously in the personal construction of the world that each being elaborates.Este artículo pretende en primer lugar presentar una síntesis de diversas posiciones teóricas acerca de la idea de salud en relación a la idea de enfermedad en el ámbito de la práctica en psicología a lo largo del tiempo. Posteriormente se analizan algunas categorías inscritas en el campo sociocultural que se vinculan a la reflexión y a la práctica psicológica respecto a la promoción de la salud desde el quehacer profesional actual. Por último se hace una reflexión acerca del plexo cultura-subjetividad y su participación -a través del modo de vida y de las relaciones con los demás- en la configuración de situaciones de salud o de enfermedad y simultáneamente, en la construcción personalizada que hace el sujeto del mundo

Conditional t-SNE: Complementary t-SNE embeddings through factoring out prior information

Dimensionality reduction and manifold learning methods such as t-Distributed Stochastic Neighbor Embedding (t-SNE) are routinely used to map high-dimensional data into a 2-dimensional space to visualize and explore the data. However, two dimensions are typically insufficient to capture all structure in the data, the salient structure is often already known, and it is not obvious how to extract the remaining information in a similarly effective manner. To fill this gap, we introduce \emph{conditional t-SNE} (ct-SNE), a generalization of t-SNE that discounts prior information from the embedding in the form of labels. To achieve this, we propose a conditioned version of the t-SNE objective, obtaining a single, integrated, and elegant method. ct-SNE has one extra parameter over t-SNE; we investigate its effects and show how to efficiently optimize the objective. Factoring out prior knowledge allows complementary structure to be captured in the embedding, providing new insights. Qualitative and quantitative empirical results on synthetic and (large) real data show ct-SNE is effective and achieves its goal

Kernel bandwidth estimation for moving object detection in non-stabilized cameras

The evolution of the television market is led by 3DTV technology, and this tendency can accelerate during the next years according to expert forecasts. However, 3DTV delivery by broadcast networks is not currently developed enough, and acts as a bottleneck for the complete deployment of the technology. Thus, increasing interest is dedicated to ste-reo 3DTV formats compatible with current HDTV video equipment and infrastructure, as they may greatly encourage 3D acceptance. In this paper, different subsampling schemes for HDTV compatible transmission of both progressive and interlaced stereo 3DTV are studied and compared. The frequency characteristics and preserved frequency content of each scheme are analyzed, and a simple interpolation filter is specially designed. Finally, the advantages and disadvantages of the different schemes and filters are evaluated through quality testing on several progressive and interlaced video sequences

Steric Effects on the Structures, Reactivity, and Coordination Chemistry of Tris(2-pyridyl)aluminates.

Introducing substituents in the 6-position of the 2-pyridyl rings of tris(pyridyl)aluminate anions, of the type [EtAl(2-py')3 ](-) (py'=a substituted 2-pyridyl group), has a large impact on their metal coordination characteristics. This is seen most remarkably in the desolvation of the THF solvate [EtAl(6-Me-2-py)3 Li⋅THF] to give the monomer [EtAl(6-Me-2-py)3 Li] (1), containing a pyramidal, three-coordinate Li(+) cation. Similar monomeric complexes are observed for [EtAl(6-CF3 -2-py)3 Li] (2) and [EtAl(6-Br-2-py)3 Li] (3), which contain CF3 and Br substituents (R). This steric influence can be exploited in the synthesis of a new class of terminal Al-OH complexes, as is seen in the controlled hydrolysis of 2 and 3 to give [EtAl(OH)(6-R-2-py)2 ](-) anions, as in the dimer [EtAl(OH)(6-Br-2-py)2 Li]2 (5). Attempts to deprotonate the Al-OH group of 5 using Et2 Zn led only to the formation of the zincate complex [LiZn(6-Br-py)3 ]2 (6), while reactions of the 6-Br substituted 3 and the unsubstituted complex [EtAl(2-py)3 Li] with MeOH give [EtAl(OMe)(6-Br-2-py)2 Li]2 (7) and [EtAl(OMe)(2-py)2 Li]2 (8), respectively, having similar dimeric arrangements to 5. En este trabajo explicaremos cuáles han sido la evolución de los principales agregados macroeconómicos desde el inicio de siglo e intentaremos entender cuáles fueron las causas que llevaron a la crisis económica de 2008. En segundo lugar, explicaremos cuales han sido las políticas que han adoptado los diferentes gobiernos centrales desde el 2000 hasta nuestros días.
