ABSTRACT Solid dosage forms for oral use, particularly tablets, are the most highly used dosage forms in therapy because they are easily administered, have high productivity and relatively low cost and provide a more stable drug to form a semi-solid net. Numerous parameters influence the quality of the final dosage form. In this study, the dissolution profile of 20-mg prednisone tablets bioequivalent to the reference product and three test formulations were evaluated using stability testing. During the study, prednisone tablets and the active pharmaceutical ingredient (API) prednisone from two different manufacturers were characterized with respect to their physical and physicochemical properties. The results showed that the dissolution profiles of the test batches and the reference product did not retain pharmaceutical equivalence throughout all the stability study. Notably, both samples of API prednisone were of the same crystal form, and any phase transition that occurred during the study could not be attributed to dissolution variation during stability

Title (Bahasa Indonesia): Persepsi masyarakat terhadap penerapan eco-fishing port di Pelabuhan Perikanan Samudera (PPS) Bitung, Sulawesi Utara. This study was aimed to analyze public perception on the Eco Fishing Port, in Ocean Fishing Port of Bitung, North Sulawesi. It used interviews and questionnaires to all stakeholders of the fisheries port. The analysis employed SWOT to study internal and external factors affecting the Eco Fishing Port management. Based on the SWOT analysis, the policy strategy of the Eco Fishing Port implementation in Bitung should apply many priority action plans, such as program continuity through government and private budget collaboration, possible extension of fisheries port area, appointment of professional manager of fish landing center, product diversification, waste utilization, environmentally friendly and renewable energy utilization, and blue economic concept-based stakeholder development approach. An integrated waste water treatment installation and reporting development of environmental management plan should also be done through implementation of ISO=14.001 management and certification In addition, increased attention needs to focus on social and economic development, periodic environmental impact analysis, environmental hygiene, port facility restructure, better management of fish landing center space, and port ecology.

Hydropower Plant Designs for Selected Areas in the 5th District (Rinconada) of Camarines Sur, Philippines

Hydropower is one of the major renewable energy sources in the world. It is less expensive and environmentally friendly as it does not emit harmful gases that can affect the surroundings. The Philippines has many water resources. This indicates that it can be a very good place for hydropower development because of the huge amount of water available there. This research paper focused on the development of designs for hydropower plants in selected sites in the 5th District of Camarines Sur, Philippines. Based on the initial assessment of hydropower potential for the sites, designs for hydropower plants were developed for these areas: Itbog Falls, Nalalata Falls, Tubigan Falls, and Lologon River. Likewise, hydropower plant development in the areas is mini-hydro for Tubigan Falls and micro-hydro for the rest. These designs can be used for future development and installation of hydropower plants in the mentioned areas

Determinants of acceptance of patients with heart failure and their informal caregivers regarding an interactive decision-making system: a qualitative study

Objective Heart failure is a growing challenge to healthcare systems worldwide. Technological solutions have the potential to improve the health of patients and help to reduce costs. Acceptability is a prerequisite for the use and a successful implementation of new disruptive technologies. This qualitative study aimed to explore determinants that influence the acceptance of patients and their informal caregivers regarding a patient-oriented digital decision-making solution—a doctor-at-home system.Design We applied a semistructured design using an interview guide that was based on a theoretical framework influenced by established acceptance theories. The interviews were analysed using a content analysis.Setting A multicentred study in four European countries.Participants We interviewed 49 patients and 33 of their informal caregivers. Most of the patients were male (76%) and aged between 60 and 69 years (43%). Informal caregivers were mostly female (85%). The majority of patients (55%) suffered from heart failure with mild symptoms. Results Four main categories emerged from the data: needs and expectations, preferences regarding the care process, perceived risk and trust. Participants expressed clear wishes and expectations regarding a doctor-at-home, especially the need for reassurance and support in the management of heart failure. They were receptive to changes to the current healthcare processes. However, trust was identified as an important basis for acceptance and use. Finally, perceived risk for decision-making errors is a crucial topic in need of attention. Conclusion Patients and informal caregivers see clear benefits of digitalisation in healthcare. They perceive that an interactive decision-making system for patients could empower and enable effective self-care. Our results provide important insights for development processes of patient-centred decision-making systems by identifying facilitators and barriers for acceptance. Further research is needed, especially regarding the influence and mitigation of patients and informal caregivers’ perceived risks
