Long slit spectroscopy of a sample of isolated spirals with and without an AGN
We present the kinematical data obtained for a sample of active (Seyfert) and
non active isolated spiral galaxies, based on long slit spectra along several
position angles in the Halpha line region and, in some cases, in the Ca triplet
region as well. Gas velocity distributions are presented, together with a
simple circular rotation model that allows to determine the kinematical major
axes. Stellar velocity distributions are also shown. The main result is that
active and control galaxies seem to be equivalent in all kinematical aspects.
For both subsamples, the departure from pure circular rotation in some galaxies
can be explained by the presence of a bar and/or of a spiral arm. They also
present the same kind of peculiarities, in particular, S-shape structures are
quite common near the nuclear regions. They define very similar Tully-Fisher
relations. Emission line ratios are given for all the detected HII regions; the
analysis of the [NII]/Halpha metallicity indicator shows that active and
non-active galaxies have indistinguishable disk metallicities. These results
argue in favour of active and non-active isolated spiral galaxies having
essentially the same properties, in agreement with our previous results based
on the analysis of near infrared images. It appears now necessary to confirm
these results on a larger sample.Comment: 35 pages, 54 figures, Accepted for publication in Astronomy &

Classical properties of algebras using a new graph association
We study the relation between algebraic structures and Graph Theory. We have
defined five different weighted digraphs associated to a finite dimensional
algebra over a field in order to tackle important properties of the associated
algebras, mainly the nilpotency and solvability in the case of Leibniz
algebras
The principle of prohibition of abuse of rights is applicable in fields as varied as the free movement of goods (judgment of 10 of January 1985, Association des Centres distributeurs Leclerc and Thouars Distribution, Case 229/83), freedom to provide services (judgment of 3 of February 1993, Veronica Omroep Organisatie, Case C‑148/91), public service contracts (judgment of 11 of December 2014, Azienda sanitaria locale n. 5 Spezzino and Others, Case C‑113/13), freedom of establishment (judgment of 9 of March 1999, Centros, Case C‑212/97), company law (judgment of 23 of March 2000, Diamantis, Case C‑373/97), social security (judgments of 2 of May 1996, Paletta, Case C‑206/94; of 6 of February 2018, Altun and Others, Case C‑359/16; and of 11 of July 2018, Commission v Belgium, Case C‑356/15), transport (judgment of 6 of April 2006, Agip Petroli, Case C‑456/04), social policy (judgment of 28 of July 2016, Kratzer, Case C‑423/15), restrictive measures (judgment of 21 of December 2011, Afrasiabi and Others, Case C‑72/11) and value added tax (judgment of 21 of February 2006, Halifax and Others, Case C‑255/02) and, in that sense, the EU principle of prohibition of abuse of law has been developing within the jurisprudence of the Court of Justice of the European Union since the mid-1970s, addressing it in multiple ways, not only in the face of different factual assumptions, which would be understandable and even necessary but, in its evolution, treating asymmetrically the handling of the requirements that must be met to reach the conclusion of the existence of practices abusive.
Computing coset leaders and leader codewords of binary codes
In this paper we use the Gr\"obner representation of a binary linear code
to give efficient algorithms for computing the whole set of coset
leaders, denoted by and the set of leader codewords,
denoted by . The first algorithm could be adapted to
provide not only the Newton and the covering radius of but also to
determine the coset leader weight distribution. Moreover, providing the set of
leader codewords we have a test-set for decoding by a gradient-like decoding
algorithm. Another contribution of this article is the relation stablished
between zero neighbours and leader codewords
This study aimed to determine the nutritional value of the fatty acids in the freshwater fish Prochilodus magdalenae, Pseudoplatystoma magdaleniatum and Ageneiosus pardalis during dry and wet Neotropical seasons with the view to generate useful information for nutrition and sustainable commercial exploitation. The analysis of fatty acids was performed by gas chromatography–mass spectrometry and the nutritional value was calculated using five estimators: n-6/n-3 ratio, unsaturation index (UI), atherogenicity index (AI), thrombogenicity index (TI) and ratio of hypocholesterolemic/hypercholesterolemic (h/H) fatty acids. A different number of fatty acids (P. magdaleniatum = 50, P. magdalenae = 41, and A. pardalis = 32) was identified for each species and the average abundance percentages were different in the two seasons (p < 0.05). Prochilodus magdalenae and P. magdaleniatum showed healthy n-6/n-3 ratios (1.04 and 2.72) in the different seasons. Although the three species showed low values of UI (0.37–0.63), the remaining nutritional indexes were within the healthy range (AI: 0.04–0.70, TI: 0.66–1.07, h/H: 0.80 – 24.40). Multivariate analysis showed similar healthy nutritional values for the species, with exception of P. magdaleniatum.
Combined use of the GGSFT data base and on Board Marine Collected Data to Model the Moho Beneath the Powell Basin, Antarctica
The Powell Basin is a small oceanic basin located at the NE end of the Antarctic Peninsula developed during the Early Miocene and mostly surrounded by the continental crusts of the South Orkney Microcontinent, South Scotia Ridge and Antarctic Peninsula margins. Gravity data from the SCAN 97 cruise obtained with the R/V Hespérides and data from the Global Gravity Grid and Sea Floor Topography (GGSFT) database (Sandwell and Smith, 1997) are used to determine the 3D geometry of the crustal-mantle interface (CMI) by numerical inversion methods. Water layer contribution and sedimentary effects were eliminated from the Free Air anomaly to obtain the total anomaly. Sedimentary effects were obtained from the analysis of existing and new SCAN 97 multichannel seismic profiles (MCS). The regional anomaly was obtained after spectral and filtering processes. The smooth 3D geometry of the crustal mantle interface obtained after inversion of the regional anomaly shows an increase in the thickness of the crust towards the continental margins and a NW-SE oriented axis of symmetry coinciding with the position of an older oceanic spreading axis. This interface shows a moderate uplift towards the western part and depicts two main uplifts to the northern and eastern sectors

CLADOSPORIUM TENUISSIMUM COOKE CAUSING LEAF SPOTS IN TARO: A NEW DISEASE IN PUERTO RIC
The biogeographic basis of Ebola-virus disease outbreaks: A model for other zoonotic diseases?
We first determined the differential role of favorability of environmental conditions and mammalian chorotypes in explaining the presence of the Ebola virus in Africa. We then combined environmental factors and chorotypes using fuzzy logic, which better explained the distribution of Ebola virus. The core area for the virus was associated with human infections of known animal origin, with infections of unknown source detected in areas that are biogeographically more peripheral. Variation in the environmental favorability for disease outbreaks may be monitored using indices of macroclimatic oscillations. This may provide the basis for an early warning system based on the variation in macroclimatic indices and the locations where human contact with multiple animal species tend to occur. We propose to study the biogeography of zoonoses by: 1) determining the potential spatial distribution of these diseases, according to environmental factors and the biogeographic structure of animals linked to the zoonosis cycle; 2) search for relationships between disease outbreaks and global atmospheric oscillations to forecast periods of higher risk of emergence of the infectious diseases.Universidad de Málaga. The Conformation and Crystal Structure of meso-2,10-Dimethyl- 3,1 l-dimethoxycarbonyl- 1,6,9,13-tetraoxadispiro[4.2.4.2]tetradeca-2,10-diene
The crystal and molecular structure of the title
compound, C16H20Os, has been determined by singlecrystal
X-ray diffraction. The compound crystallizes in
the monoclinic space group P2t/c with two molecules in a cell of dimensions a = 9.199 (1), b = 12.423 (1),
c = 8.047 (1) A, and fl = 114.87 (1) °. The structure
was solved by direct methods (MULTAN). Full-matrix
least-squares refinement gave a final agreement index of
R = 0.054 for 1166 observed reflections. The sixmembered
ring adopts the chair conformation around a symmetry centre. The conformation of the fivemembered
rings is nearer to a twist than to an envelope,
the approximate twofold axis passing through the C(4)
atom. The endocyclic C-O bonds are asymmetric and
the C=C distance is longer than expected for a double
bond. Crystal packing is due to van der Waals interactions

The teaching-learning process in the university academic environment in recent years has witnessed remarkable changes, starting with the implementation of the Internet in the classroom, in conjunction with various Web 2.0 tools, resulting teaching methods such as the Blended-learning and then the E-learning. To complement this, mobile e-learning appears or M-learning, which has been gaining momentum as the technology of mobile devices is growing both in the implementation of computational resources, such as bandwidth management thereof, added to the overcrowding in use within the academic community. This development has led, at present the management of information (voice, data and video), becomes increasingly through different types of mobile device, which has opened a whole range of applications in the academic and corporate, combined with the virtual learning environment or E-Learning
