    To Investigate The Views Of Students Regarding Motivational Techniques Used By The Heads Of Secondary Schools In Punjab

    The main purpose of this study was to investigate the views of students regarding motivational techniques used by the heads of secondary schools in Punjab.  The main objective of this study was to identify the students’ opinions about the performance of the teachers.  The nature of this study was descriptive, and the population constituted 748,124 students at the secondary level in Punjab. Fifteen out of 34 districts in the province of Punjab were randomly selected and cluster sampling was used in order to choose 300 secondary schools for the sample. Ten students from each school were included in this sample, and it was further divided equally into male and female as well as urban and rural. The questionnaires were the research instruments for data collection. The data were tabulated, analyzed, and interpreted by using the most suitable statistical tools like mean, standard deviation, standard error of the difference between means, and two-tailed t-test. On the basis of analysis, it was concluded that a greater part of students fairly agreed that their teachers appreciated the students’ performances openly, criticized them in a constructive way, maintained discipline in the class, chided the students on their mistakes, gave feedback in academic matter, solved their problem, and trusted in the students. &nbsp

    Role of Teachers in Moral Development of Primary Level Students

    The purpose of this research was to see “Role of Teachers in Moral Development of Primary Level Students.” All Govt. and private schools of District Ghizer were population of this study. Researcher selected 05 Govt. and 05 private primary schools and five teachers from each school so total sample size was 50 teachers. The objectives of the study were as: To know the teacher’s strategies to develop morality in students. In this research, researcher selected research participants through simple random sampling technique and used questionnaire for data collection. Data was collected using a survey having 28 items in which participants were asked to respond at 3- pointscale. Collected data was analyzed throughSPSS. The findings of the study revealed that themajority of the respondents were agreed to keep good relations with the students that help to develop cognitive, social, emotional and moral skills in students, they have worked to support the primary relationship and to create an environment that welcomes different environment of students, they should not only pass the knowledge but also develop the skills and right attitudes in their students. Majority of respondents stated that they focused the importance of ethical behavior of students in the class. Over all the results of this study showed that majority of the teachers tried their best to change the immoral behaviors of the students in positive sense as are from different cultural and socio economic background. On the basis of results of the study it is recommended that the schools should recognize and give rewards to those students whose performance is excellent in behavior during the stay at school

    Principals Perception Regarding Factors Affecting The Performance Of Teachers

    This study investigated the perception of principals on how the factors of subject mastery, teaching methodology, personal characteristics, and attitude toward students affect the performance of teachers at higher secondary level in the Punjab. All principals of higher secondary level in the Punjab were part of the population of the study. From the population, 120 principals were selected as the sample. A questionnaire was developed and validated through pilot testing. The data obtained were tabulated and analyzed by using statistical techniques of mean and standard deviation. The major conclusions of the study were that the factor of subject mastery was perceived to be influencing the performance of teachers maximally, but the factor of attitude toward students was affecting the performance of teachers minimally. The remaining two factors - teaching methodology and personal characteristics - were perceived to be at the intermediary level
