Artificial intelligence (AI): multidisciplinary perspectives on emerging challenges, opportunities, and agenda for research and practice

As far back as the industrial revolution, great leaps in technical innovation succeeded in transforming numerous manual tasks and processes that had been in existence for decades where humans had reached the limits of physical capacity. Artificial Intelligence (AI) offers this same transformative potential for the augmentation and potential replacement of human tasks and activities within a wide range of industrial, intellectual and social applications. The pace of change for this new AI technological age is staggering, with new breakthroughs in algorithmic machine learning and autonomous decision making engendering new opportunities for continued innovation. The impact of AI is significant, with industries ranging from: finance, retail, healthcare, manufacturing, supply chain and logistics all set to be disrupted by the onset of AI technologies. The study brings together the collective insight from a number of leading expert contributors to highlight the significant opportunities, challenges and potential research agenda posed by the rapid emergence of AI within a number of domains: technological, business and management, science and technology, government and public sector. The role of spiritual services in the resocialization process of prisoners through the eyes of prison chaplains

Diplomová práce se zaměřuje na roli duchovních služeb v resocializačním procesu odsouzených. Teoretická část se zabývá vývojem vězeňské duchovní služby v kontextu duchovní činnosti, současnou podobou duchovní činnosti ve věznicích, rolí vězeňského kaplana a resocializačním procesem odsouzených. Praktická část je založená na kvalitativním výzkumu s využitím polostrukturovaných rozhovorů vedených s vězeňskými kaplany. Praktická část zkoumá, jak probíhá služba vězeňských kaplanů v praxi a zjišťuje smysl a roli služby vězeňského kaplana v resocializačním procesu odsouzených v rámci penitenciární i postpenitenciární péče. Hlavní cílem práce je zjistit, jak probíhá služba vězeňských kaplanů v praxi a reflektovat smysl služby vězeňského kaplana v resocializačním procesu odsouzených.The thesis focuses on the role of spiritual services in the resocialization process of convicts. The theoretical part deals with the development of prison ministry in the context of spiritual activity, the current form of spiritual activity in prisons, the role of the prison chaplain and the resocialization process of convicts. The practical part is based on qualitative research using semi-structured interviews conducted with prison chaplains. The practical part explores how the prison chaplaincy service takes place in practice and identifies the meaning and role of the prison chaplaincy service in the resocialisation process of inmates in both penal and post-penitentiary care. The main aim of the thesis is to find out how the service of prison chaplains takes place in practice and to reflect on the meaning of the prison chaplain's service in the resocialization process of convicts.Fakulta filozofickáStudentka přistoupila k obhajobě připravená.
