The study was conducted in 2006-2009 in the experimental field of the Institute of Agriculture, Karnobat. The aim was to identify the productive capacity of the feed barley varieties and advanced lines. The results show that promising winter feed barley lines with the highest yields were CRF 47, CRF 292 and CRF 146в.The study was conducted in 2006-2009 in the experimental field of the Institute of Agriculture, Karnobat. Cold resistance, drought resistance and water and temperature regime of 43 Bulgarian and Turkish winter barley varieties and lines were determined in field and laboratory conditions during the period 2005-2009. 50% of the study material was found to have a good and high resistance to cold. The highest coefficient of drought resistance was found in 9 of the studied lines. Among the tested winter barley varieties and lines those with high and medium cold resistance were found to dominate the study group. The highest biological drought tolerance are Bulgarian lines DRF 206-2 and DRT 279-2 and the Turkish lines AVD-24 and MB-A 51. These lines may be included in the breeding program to create varieties with high resistance to cold and drought resistance.2005-2009 arası dönemde gerçekleştirilen bu çalışmada 43 Bulgaristan ve Türkiye kışlık arpa çeşit ve hatlarının soğuk toleransı, kuraklık toleransı ve su ve sıcaklık rejimleri arazi ve laboratuar ortamında belirlenmiştir.

The aim of this case report was to present a rare myocardial disease, the so-called isolated non-compaction cardiomyopathy (NCCM). This disorder, a primary genetic cardiomyopathy, attracts increasing attention. A woman with a sudden onset of shortness of breath and isolated NCCM is described. Criteria for diagnosis as well as echocardiographic findings and magnetic resonance imaging of the heart are presented. Although rare, a new option of myocardial disease with various modes of clinical presentation but, most commonly, with acute or chronic heart failure should be taken into consideration. Multiple imaging modalities are available and should be used for proper diagnosis.Scripta Scientifica Medica 2013; 45(3): 86-89

Patients with advanced heart failure are patients with a lot of comorbidities that have important influence on the options of treatment - both for heart failure and the concomitant diseases. Here we present a 64-year-old man with mechanical aortic valve prosthesis, severe tricuspid regurgitation, severe pulmonary hypertension and total heart failure, diabetes mellitus type 2, peripheral artery disease and necrotizing vasculitis. The management of heart failure is according to the guidelines for the treatment of patients with heart failure of the European Society of Cardiology 2016; the treatment of the diabetes mellitus and the necrotizing vasculitis is also in accordance with the latest recommendations

Food can have a mighty biological, therapeutic and preventive effect, yet its breakdown can provide the perfect setting for tooth decay and its implications, diseases of the periodontium and the oral mucosa. Due to the high incidence of periodontal and hard dental tissues pathologies among adolescents they have been ranked as socially significant diseases. A damaged dental-jaw apparatus may lead to forming unhealthy eating habits, more sensitive food preferences and nutritional deficiency. The objective was to explore the prevalence of those diseases and the dental hygiene among final year high school students as well as to seek any correlation with their eating habits and preferences. Materials and Methods: The study involved 121 students who underwent extraoral and intraoral examination in order to establish the state of the masticatory apparatus whereas the state of oral hygiene was measured as per Silness-Löe plaque index. A questionnaire filled out by the students provided data on the individual characteristics of the masticatory process, eating habits and frequency of consumption of certain cariogenic and anticariogenic foods and beverages. Results: The findings revealed unhealthy food preferences in the target group. The unsatisfactory oral hygiene habits and food preferences account for the high percentage of dental caries. Conclusion: Oral health of children and adolescents is problematic worldwide and can be resolved with the benefits of a balanced diet as well as personal and professional oral hygiene, etc. Teaching children the importance of proper oral care before reaching adolescence can build anticariogenic habits in them for a lifetime
