Steplike electric conduction in a classical two-dimensional electron system through a narrow constriction in a microchannel

Using molecular dynamics simulation, we investigate transport properties of a classical two-dimensional electron system confined in a microchannel with a narrow constriction. As a function of the confinement strength of the constriction, the calculated conductance in the simulations exhibits steplike increases as reported in a recent experiment [D. G. Rees et al., Phys. Rev. Lett. 106, 026803 (2011)]. It is confirmed that the number of the steps corresponds to the number of stream lines of electrons through the constriction. We verify that density fluctuation plays a major role in smoothing the steps in the conductance.Comment: 11 pages, 9 figure

Dukungan Keluarga terhadap Kepatuhan Obat pada Pasien Human Immunodeficiency Virus dengan Harga Diri Rendah

The purpose of the study was to determine the effect of family support in drug adherence on the subject of Human Immunodeficiency Virus with low self-esteem in the PELNI hospital in Jakarta. The research method in this study is Pre Experimental with One Group Pre-Test-Post Test Design. The results showed that family support could have a positive impact on reducing mental disorders in PLWHA, such as anxiety, stress, depression, and low self-esteem. Analisis Kepribadian Tokoh Dara dalam Novel Dua Garis Biru karya Lucia Priandarini, dan Relevansinya pada Pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia di SMA

Psikonalisis merupakan istilah khusus yang digunakan dalam penelitian psikologi sastra. Teori psikoanalisis berkaitan dengan fungsi dan perkembangan mental manusia. Psikoanalisis pertama kali diungkapkan oleh Sigmund Freud. Dalam struktur kepribadian Freud, ada tiga unsur sistem penting, yaitu Id, Ego, dan Superego. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan (1) hasil analisis kepribadian tokoh Dara dalam novel Dua Garis Biru karya Lucia Priandarini menggunakan teori struktur kepribadian psikoanalisis Sigmund Freud (Id, Ego, dan Superego), (2) relevansi hasil interpretasi kepribadian tokoh Dara dalam novel Dua Garis Biru karya Lucia Priandarini dengan Pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia di kelas XII SMA. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan psikologi sastra. Bentuk penelitian menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Data dalam penelitian ini berupa data kualitatif yang diperoleh dari kutipan novel Dua Garis Biru karya Lucia Priandarini, diterbitkan tahun 2019 oleh PT. Gramedia Pustaka Utama dengan tebal 206 halaman. Data diperoleh dengan teknik baca, simak dan catat (BSC). Data dianalisis dengan tahapan (1) mereduksi data, (2) menyajikan data, (3) menarik kesimpulan/verifikasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) terdapat 25 sistem kepribadian Id, 29 sistem kepribadian Ego, dan 31 sistem kepribadian Superego dalam diri Dara sebagai tokoh utama dalam novel Dua Garis Biru karya Lucia Priandarini, (2) kepribadian tokoh Dara dalam novel Dua Garis Biru didominasi oleh sistem kepribadian Superego, (3) data mengenai analisis kepribadian tokoh Dara dalam novel Dua Garis Biru dapat digunakan sebagai referensi pada pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia kelas XII tentang menganalisis isi novel

PENURUNAN TINGKAT DEPRESI KLIEN GAGAL GINJAL KRONIK YANG MENJALANI HEMODIALISA DENGAN LOGOTERAPI MEDICAL MINISTRY DAN TERAPI KOMITMEN PENERIMAAN

ABSTRACTDepression is a psychological problem that often occurred in chronic renal failure client and have to get treatment to avoid mental disorder occurred. The purpose of this study was to identify effect of logo therapy medical ministry and acceptance commitment therapy to depression in client with chronic renal failure. This research used quasi experiment design. Sample was 28 respondents in intervention group and 28 respondents in control group. Patients that have up to 10 point in depression scale in hemodialysis unit RS PELNI Jakarta was recruited by consecutive sampling. Variable was analyzed by wilcoxon sign rank test. The result of this research was logo therapy medical ministry and acceptance commitment therapy has significant effect to decrease depression in client with chronic renal failure (p value 0,000). This study also recommends to generally nursing to implement generally intervention, and especially psychiatric nursing in can implement logo therapy and acceptance commitment therapy to avoid or decrease depression in client with chronic renal failure.Keywords: acceptance commitment therapy, chronic renal failure, depression, logotherapy medical ministr

ANALISIS GOOD CORPORATE GOVERNANCE, FREE CASH FLOW, LEVERAGE TERHADAP EARNING MANAGEMENT, DAN SHAREHOLDER WEALTH PADA PERUSAHAAN SEKTOR JASA YANG TERCATAT DI BURSA EFEK INDONESIA

ABSTRACTThe phenomenon of the "megadolar" case that occurred in Enron Corporation and the profits stated over stated at PT. Kimia Farma caused by earnings management. Earning management results in reporting on financial statements asymmetry with the actual situation. This can bring huge losses to shareholders because financial statements are the main basis for shareholders in conducting business transactions. Utami (2005) in his research stated that Indonesia is the country with the most rice earning management. Thus it is important for investors and shareholders in Indonesia to look at things that can trigger earnings management and what can prevent earnings management. In this study the researchers tested the effect of good corporate governance, free cash flow, and leverage on wealth earning management and shareholders. The researcher examines the effect of good corporate governance as a variable that can prevent earnings management and test free cash flow and leverage as triggers for earnings management.In this study using a sample of 178 service sector companies taken through the Yamane method with a sampling method namely purposive sampling in the 2014-2016 period. Data analysis and hypothesis testing in this study using the Partial Least Square Path Modeling (PLS-SEM) method. The results showed that good corporate governance proved to have a significant negative effect on earnings management while shareholders in wealth had a significant positive influence. Free cash flow proved to be insignificant to earning management while shareholder wealth had a significant positive effect. The leverage variable proved to have a significant negative relationship to earnings management as well as wealth shareholders. Keyword:  good  corporate  governance,  free  cash  flow,  leverage  earning management, shareholder wealth.Â

Electron transport in a quasi-one dimensional channel on suspended helium films

Quasi-one dimensional electron systems have been created using a suspended helium film on a structured substrate. The electron mobility along the channel is calculated by taking into account the essential scattering processes of electrons by helium atoms in the vapor phase, ripplons, and surface defects of the film substrate. It is shown that the last scattering mechanism may dominate the electron mobility in the low temperature limit changing drastically the temperature dependence of the mobility in comparison with that controlled by the electron-ripplon scattering.Comment: 4 pages, 1 figur

Superconductivity in Fullerides

Experimental studies of superconductivity properties of fullerides are briefly reviewed. Theoretical calculations of the electron-phonon coupling, in particular for the intramolecular phonons, are discussed extensively. The calculations are compared with coupling constants deduced from a number of different experimental techniques. It is discussed why the A_3 C_60 are not Mott-Hubbard insulators, in spite of the large Coulomb interaction. Estimates of the Coulomb pseudopotential $\mu^*$, describing the effect of the Coulomb repulsion on the superconductivity, as well as possible electronic mechanisms for the superconductivity are reviewed. Assignment of the Internal Vibrational Modes of C₇₀ by Inelastic Neutron Scattering Spectroscopy and Periodic‐DFT

The fullerene C(70) may be considered as the shortest possible nanotube capped by a hemisphere of C(60) at each end. Vibrational spectroscopy is a key tool in characterising fullerenes, and C(70) has been studied several times and spectral assignments proposed. Unfortunately, many of the modes are either forbidden or have very low infrared or Raman intensity, even if allowed. Inelastic neutron scattering (INS) spectroscopy is not subject to selection rules, and all the modes are allowed. We have obtained a new INS spectrum from a large sample recorded at the highest resolution available. An advantage of INS spectroscopy is that it is straightforward to calculate the spectral intensity from a model. We demonstrate that all previous assignments are incorrect in at least some respects and propose a new assignment based on periodic density functional theory (DFT) that successfully reproduces the INS, infrared, and Raman spectra
