    What kinds of services and support should be expected after the sale? Vendors are increasingly providing postsale services to their customers, typically in the form of account development. This panel discussion examined experiences that vendors, libraries, and consortia have had with one another, including which services have been beneficial, and explored future enhancements that will benefit libraries and users. The panelists provided specific examples of past collaborations, including customized trainings, usage analysis, and professional development events. Panelists discussed topics of interest to librarians and vendors with a focus on ways to get the best ROI out of library resources. Librarians and publishers on the panel highlighted the important role that each side has in improving ROI and marketing the resources to the library community

    Maximizing Relationships Between Your Knowledge Base and Your E-resources

    Tim Bucknall is the founder of the Carolina Consortium, a buying group made up of over 60 academic libraries in North and South Carolina. He is also an inventor of Journal Finder, a locally developed link resolver and knowledge base used by nearly 30 institutions in five states. In his spare time, Tim enjoys gardening, cooking, and woodworking. Beth Bernhardt is the Electronic Journals /Document Delivery Librarian at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. She is responsible for providing electronic journal access to all members of the University. Beth also supervises Interlibrary Loan and document delivery services provided by the library. Beth is an adjunct instructor for Solinet and for the North Carolina State Library. In 2005 Beth became the new Prinicpal Director of the Charleston Conference.Although link resolvers are a wonderful, high-impact innovation, most libraries are not maximizing their potential benefits. In this session, the presenters will discuss how UNCG has tailored its locally developed link resolver and knowledge base, Journal Finder, to increase traffic to the Library’s eresources. And we will discuss how we utilize usage data to make collection management decisions on format and content
