Effects of cold stratification pretreatment and pH level on germination of Centaurea tchihatcheffii Fisch. et Mey. seeds

Centaurea tchihatcheffii Fisch. Et. Mey. is a critically endangered (CR) plant species due to destruction of habitat, strong anthropogenic pressure, biotic and abiotic factors. It grows in limited areas in Gölbai district of Ankara, Turkey and in the world. It is very necessary to conserve it and prevent its extinction. Previous studies emphasise that low germination rate of its seed is primarily due to deep seed dormancy. Therefore, studies was done on C. tchihatcheffii seeds, to investigate the effects of cold stratification for different periods (90, 120 and 150 days) and different pH values (pH 6.5, 7.5 and 8.5) on seed germination. The highest germination percentage (58.89 ± 6.39%) was observed in seeds stratified for 150 days at all pH values of growing media, followed by seeds stratified for 120 days (42.78 ± 4.57%). An increase in pH level had negative effects on seed  germination, the lowest germination (27.22 ± 4.18 %) was determined at pH 8.5.Key words: Centaure tchihatcheffii, critically endangered, seed  germination, stratification, pH values

İzmir‐Ankara suture as a Triassic to Cretaceous plate boundary – data from central Anatolia

The İzmir‐Ankara suture represents part of the boundary between Laurasia and Gondwana along which a wide Tethyan ocean was subducted. In northwest Turkey, it is associated with distinct oceanic subduction‐accretion complexes of Late Triassic, Jurassic and Late Cretaceous ages. The Late Triassic and Jurassic accretion complexes consist predominantly of basalt with lesser amounts of shale, limestone, chert, Permian (274 Ma zircon U‐Pb age) metagabbro and serpentinite, which have undergone greenschist facies metamorphism. Ar‐Ar muscovite ages from the phyllites range from 210 Ma down to 145 Ma with a broad southward younging. The Late Cretaceous subduction‐accretion complex, the ophiolitic mélange, consists of basalt, radiolarian chert, shale and minor amounts of recrystallized limestone, serpentinite and greywacke, showing various degrees of blueschist facies metamorphism and penetrative deformation. Ar‐Ar phengite ages from two blueschist metabasites are ca. 80 Ma (Campanian). The ophiolitic mélange includes large Jurassic peridotite‐gabbro bodies with plagiogranites with ca. 180 Ma U‐Pb zircon ages. Geochronological and geological data show that Permian to Cretaceous oceanic lithosphere was subducted north under the Pontides from the Late Triassic to the Late Cretaceous. This period was characterized generally by subduction‐accretion, except in the Early Cretaceous, when subduction‐erosion took place. In the Sakarya segment all the subduction accretion complexes, as well as the adjacent continental sequences, are unconformably overlain by Lower Eocene red beds. This, along with the stratigraphy of the Sakarya Zone indicate that the hard collision between the Sakarya Zone and the Anatolide‐Tauride Block took place in Paleocene

О параметрах системы подготовки принятия решений государственной организации с помощью бизнес-процессов

В статье приводится описание параметров, необходимых для информационной системы принятия решений государственной организации при оказании услуг с помощью бизнес-процессов. Любая информационная система, позволяющая подготавливать данные для принятия решений, строится на основе количественной информации. Однако, само решение выбирается чаще всего на основе опыта, знаний, что субъективно и не во всех случаях является правильным. Нами предлагается выделить класс событий, для которых возможно разработать шаблоны решений. Выбор решения основывается на анализе параметров бизнес-процессов государственной организации при оказании услуг.The article describes the parameters necessary for the decision-making information system of the state organization in the provision of services through business processes. Any information system that allows data to be prepared for decision-making is based on quantitative information. However, the decision itself is chosen most often on the basis of experience, knowledge, which is subjective and not always correct. We propose to allocate a class of events for which it is possible to develop decision templates. The choice of the solution is based on the analysis of the parameters of the business processes of the state organization in the provision of service

On dakika gibi kısa bir sürede çok önem verdiğimiz spor yönetimi konusunda başından günümüze kadar tüm içeriği ile anlatmamızın zorluğunun idraki içerisinde özet de olsa düşüncelerimizi arz etmeye çalışacağım. Re-fuelling the talent tank. A qualitative study of key deficiencies, future needs, and life- long learning needs of communication management professionals in Europe

This paper originates from the results of the EU financed project, PROJECTNAME, which advanced understanding about the professional competences of European public relations and communication managers. The paper focuses on deficiencies in competences that practitioners identify for themselves and on the needs for the future generation that will perform four professional roles: chief communication officer (CCO), crisis communication, social media, and internal communication. Questions to understand the roles and their future requirements were defined around: means for achievement of current competences to perform the role, competence gaps, specialized competences, and future needs. They were explored with qualitative methodology through 53 in depth interviews. The analysis of data shows that European professionals understand and evaluate their way of performing the practice through a complex framework of competences. The findings provide evidence of synergies in the understanding and interpretation of the four roles and there is common identification of on-going gaps and future needs, suggesting that public relations is a maturing discipline with an accumulated set of standards in Europe. The study also targets the capacity of intervention for advancing the profession to an approach of knowledge acquisition and supporting the previous academic consensus about the necessity of a body of knowledge and specialized skills for professionalizatio

Türkiye Beden Eğitimi Öğretmenleri ve Spor Kulübü Derneği olarak ülkemizde spor etkinliklerinin özlenen düzeye ulaştırılabilmesi için alınması gereken önlem ve uygulamalar hakkındaki görüşlerimiz

1. Ülkemizde 0-24 yaş gençlik çağı kesimi 26 milyon dolayındadır. Gençlik ve Spor Genel Müd. kaynaklarına göre lisanslı sporcu sayımız 1 milyon civarındadır. Okul spor yurtları lisanslı sporcu sayısı da önemli bir kısmı federe kulüpler lisanslı sporcu sayısı içerisinde olarak oda l milyon civarındadır. Bu sayıyı 2 milyon kabul etsek dahi 26 milyon içerisinde çok küçük bir azınlıktır ki bu da 20 milyon gencimize spor olanağı yaratılamadığının ifadesidir
