Los mercados laborales latinoamericanos en los años 90: descifrar la década

(Disponible en idioma inglés únicamente) En este trabajo se analiza el desempeño reciente de los mercados laborales latinoamericanos. Hallamos que los niveles de desempleo van en aumento en la mayoría de los países y subregiones de América Latina. El aumento del desempleo durante los años 90 no obedeció a una mayor proporción de mujeres, adultos o trabajadores urbanos en la fuerza laboral, como tampoco se puede atribuir a un aumento de la demanda de trabajadores calificados. En unos pocos países, el aumento del desempleo es producto de la baja de los niveles de empleo. En el resto de los países, los niveles de desempleo pueden responder a un considerable aumento de la participación que no ha sido totalmente absorbida por los incrementos del empleo. También hallamos que una proporción considerable y, en muchos países, creciente, de trabajadores ocupan puestos de trabajo que devengan salarios sumamente bajos. Por último, los retornos a la educación superior van en aumento, mientras que los retornos a la educación secundaria disminuyen en casi todos los países.

Effect of exchange program on self-esteem in primary education students

El objetivo de esta investigación fue determinar el efecto de un programa de valores sobre la autoestima en estudiantes de Educación Primaria. La misma fue fundamentada en las teorías de Santamaría (2007), Navarro, Tomás y Oliver, (2006), Raffini (2008), entre otros. La investigación fue de tipo experimental explicativo de campo, con un diseño preexperimental. La población estuvo constituida por 30 estudiantes cursantes del sexto (6to) grado de Educación Primaria de la Escuela Básica Nacional “José Ángel Huerta”, ubicada en la jurisdicción del Municipio Mara del estado Zulia, para el muestreo se consideró el censo poblacional. La recolección de los datos se obtuvo a través de un cuestionario de preguntas dicotómicas, el cual fue validado por tres expertos y la confiabilidad por el índice Kunder Richardson (KR-20), cuyo resultado fue de 0,90. La estadística descriptiva fue la utilizada mediante medidas de tendencia central y dispersión. Los resultados obtenidos determinaron que existe diferencias entre las medias de las puntuaciones del grupo único antes y después de la aplicación del programa de valores el cual originó una autoestima normal en estudiantes de Educación Primaria, diferencia que puede atribuirse al efecto del programa, en tal sentido, se acepta la hipótesis de investigación, si Si se aplica un programa de valores en estudiantes de Educación Primaria, entonces, su autoestima aumentará en la Escuela Básica Nacional “José Ángel Huerta”, ubicada en la jurisdicción del Municipio Mara del estado Zulia  Descriptores: Programa de Valores, Autoestima, Nivel Personal, Nivel Social, Estudiantes

Enseñanza de prácticas artísticas integradoras con las comunidades educativas

This research was to analyze the role of the teacher in teaching the inclusive artistic practices of students with Colombian educational communities. The positivist paradigm was developed, using the quantitative method, non-experimental, field transsectal design. The population consists of fifty-one subjects of the career Children’s Pedagogy and Special Education of the University of Pamplona (Colombia), applying a population census. The questionnaire instrument, counted of twenty-seven items, with alternatives: Always, Almost always, Sometimes, Rarely and Never, the validity was made through seven experts, a pilot test was applied to twelve subjects, with characteristics similar to the population selected in the study obtaining rkk 0.794. It highlighted the role as a builder of knowledge exercised by the teacher in the teaching of artistic practices integrating with Colombian educational communities, achieving high mastery. Pedagogical-didactic competence, have very high dominance in students, while exerting influence from other social cultures linked to the community environment of the educated, which helps to reconstruct cultural content and the discussion of community artistic experiences, has a moderate domain to achieve the entrenchment of aesthetic creation and the development of communication, community socialization, allowing to determine the role fulfilled by the teacher tends to be low-mastery. Theoretical-practical guidelines were established for the teaching of student-integrating artistic practices with Colombian educational communities.Este estudio se centra en el rol de docente en la enseñanza de prácticas integradoras. Realizado sobre la necesidad de integrar los estudiantes con las comunidades educativas colombianas. El paradigma utilizado fue el positivista, el método cuantitativo, el diseño no experimental, transeccional de campo. La población estuvo conformada por cincuenta y un sujetos de la carrera Pedagogía Infantil y Educación Especial de la Universidad de Pamplona (Colombia. El instrumento cuestionario, contó de veintisiete ítems, con alternativas: Siempre, Casi siempre, Algunas veces, Pocas veces y Nunca, la validez se realizó a través de siete expertos, se aplicó una prueba piloto a doce sujetos, con características similares a la población seleccionada en el estudio obteniendo rkk= 0,794. Se destacó el rol como constructor del conocimiento ejercido por el docente en la enseñanza de prácticas artísticas integradoras con las comunidades educativas colombianas, logrando alto dominio. La competencia pedagógico-didáctica, poseen muy alto dominio en los estudiantes, en tanto ejercen influencia de otras culturas sociales vinculadas al entorno comunitario de los educandos, lo cual ayuda a reconstruir contenidos culturales y a la discusión de experiencias artísticas comunitarias, posee un moderado dominio para lograr el afianzamiento de la creación estética y el desarrollo de la comunicación, la socialización comunitaria, permitiendo determinar el papel cumplido por el docente tiende a ser de bajo dominio. Data for wetlandscapes and their changes around the world

Geography and associated hydrological, hydroclimate and land-use conditions and their changes determine the states and dynamics of wetlands and their ecosystem services. The influences of these controls are not limited to just the local scale of each individual wetland but extend over larger landscape areas that integrate multiple wetlands and their total hydrological catchment – the wetlandscape. However, the data and knowledge of conditions and changes over entire wetlandscapes are still scarce, limiting the capacity to accurately understand and manage critical wetland ecosystems and their services under global change. We present a new Wetlandscape Change Information Database (WetCID), consisting of geographic, hydrological, hydroclimate and land-use information and data for 27 wetlandscapes around the world. This combines survey-based local information with geographic shapefiles and gridded datasets of large-scale hydroclimate and land-use conditions and their changes over whole wetlandscapes. Temporally, WetCID contains 30-year time series of data for mean monthly precipitation and temperature and annual land-use conditions. The survey-based site information includes local knowledge on the wetlands, hydrology, hydroclimate and land uses within each wetlandscape and on the availability and accessibility of associated local data. This novel database (available through PANGAEA https://doi.org/10.1594/PANGAEA.907398; Ghajarnia et al., 2019) can support site assessments; cross-regional comparisons; and scenario analyses of the roles and impacts of land use, hydroclimatic and wetland conditions, and changes in whole-wetlandscape functions and ecosystem services

MUSiC : a model-unspecific search for new physics in proton-proton collisions at root s=13TeV

Results of the Model Unspecific Search in CMS (MUSiC), using proton-proton collision data recorded at the LHC at a centre-of-mass energy of 13 TeV, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 35.9 fb(-1), are presented. The MUSiC analysis searches for anomalies that could be signatures of physics beyond the standard model. The analysis is based on the comparison of observed data with the standard model prediction, as determined from simulation, in several hundred final states and multiple kinematic distributions. Events containing at least one electron or muon are classified based on their final state topology, and an automated search algorithm surveys the observed data for deviations from the prediction. The sensitivity of the search is validated using multiple methods. No significant deviations from the predictions have been observed. For a wide range of final state topologies, agreement is found between the data and the standard model simulation. This analysis complements dedicated search analyses by significantly expanding the range of final states covered using a model independent approach with the largest data set to date to probe phase space regions beyond the reach of previous general searches.Peer reviewe

Measurement of prompt open-charm production cross sections in proton-proton collisions at root s=13 TeV

The production cross sections for prompt open-charm mesons in proton-proton collisions at a center-of-mass energy of 13TeV are reported. The measurement is performed using a data sample collected by the CMS experiment corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 29 nb(-1). The differential production cross sections of the D*(+/-), D-+/-, and D-0 ((D) over bar (0)) mesons are presented in ranges of transverse momentum and pseudorapidity 4 < p(T) < 100 GeV and vertical bar eta vertical bar < 2.1, respectively. The results are compared to several theoretical calculations and to previous measurements.Peer reviewe
