    A study on the personalization methods of the web

    Search engine personalization is one of the various deep personalization methods. It can be said that personalization systems that help users find the information they need requires the use of contextual and semantic information analysis techniques that exist in the field of data recovery such as web personalization and the process of optimizing the methods to get to web pages in a way that are consistent with the needs of each user. What helps the current problem of search engines and accelerate their performance, is providing a proper framework for finding the correct pattern considering great items in history of users. This approach improves the advising process of the search engines as well. The aim of this paper is to introduce some process improvement methods of correct patterns and analyze them. Here we will discuss the basic concepts of web personalization and consider the three approaches of web personalization and we evaluated the methods belonging to each of them.Keywords: personalization, search engine, user preferences, data mining method

    This study aims to investigate the influence of brand and country of origin on consumer attitude in selecting mobile products. And to determine which variables are most influential on consumer attitudes in selecting mobile products. The analysis tool used is multiple linear regression, by retrieving data using interviews in respondents Faculty of Economics and Business, University of Muhammadiyah Surakarta class of 2011 to 2014. This study refers to the positive approach, the approach that started the research with the hypothesis and then followed by hypothesis testing. From the analysis ofeach variable can be seen that the variable of brand and country of origin (country of origin) significantly influence consumer attitudes in choosing a mobile phone. And the results of the study also showed that variable home country (country of origin) has the strongest influence on consumer attitudes variables. It can be seen from the value of the smallest probability level compared to branded variable that is equal to 0,010, or 1%. This means that in line with the research Bambang Pujadi (2010), Sarwo Edi (2013, and Dedi Mulyadi, et al (2012) which states that the brand influence on consumer attitudes, and research conducted by Leoni and Fajrianthi Rizki (2012), Rahmawat Setyanigsih, et al (2007), and Magyar Slamet Permana (2013) which states that the country of origin (country of origin) effect on consumer attitudes. It is expected the mobile phone manufacturers really pay attention to all matters relating to the brand and country of origin in order to influence the views and attitudes of consumers in selecting mobile products and other factors that affect consumer attitude in selecting mobile products

    This study aims to determine the effect of brand image, price, promotion and product quality on purchasing decisions for Eiger products. The sample used in the study was 100 respondents who were Eiger product users in Surakarta. The type of data used in this research is primary data. Methods of data collection using a questionnaire. Data analysis methods used in this research are validity test, reliability test, classical assumption test, multiple linear regression analysis, coefficient of determination, F test, and t test. The results of the analysis in this study indicate that brand image has no positive and significant effect on purchasing decisions for Eiger products, price has no positive and significant effect on purchasing decisions for Eiger products, promotion has a positive and significant effect on purchasing decisions for Eiger products, product quality has a positive and significant effect on Eiger product purchase decision

    Unilateral interactions in granular packings: A model for the anisotropy modulus

    Unilateral interparticle interactions have an effect on the elastic response of granular materials due to the opening and closing of contacts during quasi-static shear deformations. A simplified model is presented, for which constitutive relations can be derived. For biaxial deformations the elastic behavior in this model involves three independent elastic moduli: bulk, shear, and anisotropy modulus. The bulk and the shear modulus, when scaled by the contact density, are independent of the deformation. However, the magnitude of the anisotropy modulus is proportional to the ratio between shear and volumetric strain. Sufficiently far from the jamming transition, when corrections due to non-affine motion become weak, the theoretical predictions are qualitatively in agreement with simulation results.Comment: 6 pages, 5 figure

    SNHG15 is a bifunctional MYC-regulated noncoding locus encoding a lncRNA that promotes cell proliferation, invasion and drug resistance in colorectal cancer by interacting with AIF

    Background: Thousands of long noncoding RNAs (lncRNAs) are aberrantly expressed in various types of cancers, however our understanding of their role in the disease is still very limited. Methods: We applied RNAseq analysis from patient-derived data with validation in independent cohort of patients. We followed these studies with gene regulation analysis as well as experimental dissection of the role of the identified lncRNA by multiple in vitro and in vivo methods. Results: We analyzed RNA-seq data from tumors of 456 CRC patients compared to normal samples, and identified SNHG15 as a potentially oncogenic lncRNA that encodes a snoRNA in one of its introns. The processed SNHG15 is overexpressed in CRC tumors and its expression is highly correlated with poor survival of patients. Interestingly, SNHG15 is more highly expressed in tumors with high levels of MYC expression, while MYC protein binds to two E-box motifs on SNHG15 sequence, indicating that SNHG15 transcription is directly regulated by the oncogene MYC. The depletion of SNHG15 by siRNA or CRISPR-Cas9 inhibits cell proliferation and invasion, decreases colony formation as well as the tumorigenic capacity of CRC cells, whereas its overexpression leads to opposite effects. Gene expression analysis performed upon SNHG15 inhibition showed changes in multiple relevant genes implicated in cancer progression, including MYC, NRAS, BAG3 or ERBB3. Several of these genes are functionally related to AIF, a protein that we found to specifically interact with SNHG15, suggesting that the SNHG15 acts, at least in part, by regulating the activity of AIF. Interestingly, ROS levels, which are directly regulated by AIF, show a significant reduction in SNHG15-depleted cells. Moreover, knockdown of SNHG15 increases the sensitiveness of the cells to 5-FU, while its overexpression renders them more resistant to the chemotherapeutic drug. Conclusion: Altogether, these results describe an important role of SNHG15 in promoting colon cancer and mediating drug resistance, suggesting its potential as prognostic marker and target for RNA-based therapies

    Amniotic membrane seeded with mesenchymal adipose-derived stem cell for coverage of wound in third degree burn: An experimental study

    Methods: This study was experimental and has been done in Burn Research Center of Iran University of Medical Sciences during January 2012 to April 2013. Thirty rats randomly divided to three equal groups. Inguinal fat of 10 rats (one group) were used for preparation of autologous adipose-derived mesenchymal stem cells. Acellular amnion was used as a scaffold for stem cell transfer. Each of the thirty rats had been exposed to a cm deep 3rd degree burn on back area. 24 hours after surgery, the wound was excised and it had been covered by three methods: conventional dressing in the first group, acellular amnion in the second group and acellular amnion seeded with adipose-derived stem cell in the third group. The rate of wound healing and pathologic characteristics was compared in all three groups. Results: Healing rate and decrease in wounds size was significantly better in acellular amnion seeded with adipose- derived stem cells compared with other two groups at 3rd and 15th days after surgery P<0.01. Also in histopathology examination, fibroplasia and neovascularization of wounds were significantly better in stem cells group than the other two groups P<0.001. Conclusion: Acellular amnion seeded with adipose-derived stem cell can result in faster wound healing and better histopathology characteristic. The amnion as a scaffold and the fat derived stem cells as healing accelerator are recommended for coverage of the 3rd degree burn wounds after excision and it may reduce the need for skin graft. Background: Stem cells are applied in the treatment of wide range of diseases and can be separated from different tissues of the body. These cells can treat diseases by cytokine and growth factor secretion and also cell differentiation. Burn wound is a challenging problem of reconstructive surgery and stem cells may help wound healing process.     Personalized peptide-based vaccination for treatment of colorectal cancer: rational and progress

    Colorectal cancer (CRC) is one of the most common cancers globally and is associated with a high rate of morbidity and mortality. A large proportion of patients with early stage CRC who undergo conventional treatments develop local recurrence or distant metastasis and in this group of advanced disease, the survival rate is low. Furthermore there is often a poor response and/or toxicity associated with chemotherapy and chemo-resistance may limit continuing conventional treatment alone. Choosing novel and targeted therapeutic approaches based on clinicopathological and molecular features of tumors in combination with conventional therapeutic approach could be used to eradicate residual micrometastasis and therefore improve patient prognosis and also be used preventively. Peptide-based vaccination therapy is one class of cancer treatment that could be used to induce tumor-specific immune responses, through the recognition of specific antigen-derived peptides in tumor cells, and this has emerged as a promising anti-cancer therapeutic strategy.     Interpretation: By quantifying levels and trends in exposures to risk factors and the resulting disease burden, this assessment offers insight into where past policy and programme efforts might have been successful and highlights current priorities for public health action. Decreases in behavioural, environmental, and occupational risks have largely offset the effects of population growth and ageing, in relation to trends in absolute burden. Conversely, the combination of increasing metabolic risks and population ageing will probably continue to drive the increasing trends in non-communicable diseases at the global level, which presents both a public health challenge and opportunity. We see considerable spatiotemporal heterogeneity in levels of risk exposure and risk-attributable burden. Although levels of development underlie some of this heterogeneity, O/E ratios show risks for which countries are overperforming or underperforming relative to their level of development. As such, these ratios provide a benchmarking tool to help to focus local decision making. Our findings reinforce the importance of both risk exposure monitoring and epidemiological research to assess causal connections between risks and health outcomes, and they highlight the usefulness of the GBD study in synthesising data to draw comprehensive and robust conclusions that help to inform good policy and strategic health planning

    Open data from the third observing run of LIGO, Virgo, KAGRA, and GEO

    The global network of gravitational-wave observatories now includes five detectors, namely LIGO Hanford, LIGO Livingston, Virgo, KAGRA, and GEO 600. These detectors collected data during their third observing run, O3, composed of three phases: O3a starting in 2019 April and lasting six months, O3b starting in 2019 November and lasting five months, and O3GK starting in 2020 April and lasting two weeks. In this paper we describe these data and various other science products that can be freely accessed through the Gravitational Wave Open Science Center at https://gwosc.org. The main data set, consisting of the gravitational-wave strain time series that contains the astrophysical signals, is released together with supporting data useful for their analysis and documentation, tutorials, as well as analysis software packages
